1. Ok this is not the pinnacle of artistic videography or technical prowess, but hopefully it can get by on a bit of story and a location that can't be beat. I'm not very active on this forum but I have learned a lot of technical tips from lurking in old threads so I thought I might share my recent video that I'm actually very pleased with. I know you guys love the tech stuff so I'll let you know the expensive equipment I used: Olympus E-M10 with a Panasonic 14mm f2.5 and an iPhone 6. Unfortunately more than I would have liked ended up shot on the iPhone, but what can you do. It was just the two of us up there and the success (and safety!) on the climb was definitely not a sure thing, so I considered it a success to get as much footage out of it as I did. The Google Earth screen capture stuff I was pleased to figure out, but it could have been executed much better. I couldn't get the application to load the full resolution images of El Capitan, so I was stuck using the web browser which was laggy (on my computer anyways) and didn't have much in the way of camera controls. Anyways thanks for watching and hope you enjoy.
2. Hi, I have a Zhongyi Lens Turbo that fits fine on my Panasonic G6, but I recently noticed that it doesn't attach to my neglected Olympus OM-D E-M5. It will sit flush in the mount, but then you can't turn it at all to lock it in place, not even a fraction of a mm. I think i've probably had the Lens Turbo a little too long to return now. It didn't occur to me to test it on the E-M5, as I've been shooting so much with the G6, and it worked fine on that. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this either with a Lens Turbo, or with other adaptors or lenses? Should I try to force it? File something down?? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
3. Hi guys, I've bought an Olympus OM10 film camera with a 50mm lens. Because I wanted a zoom lens to use with it I got through ebay a sigma 28-80mm f 3.5-4.5 UC zoom. I have just received the lens and I notice that sometimes half of the focus aim inside the viewer gets darker or black. If I'm not wrong it happend too with 50mm lens but then during my photoshots it never happened again. Does anybody knows why this happen?may it be because the camera had no film inside (I was just trying the lens) or because I was in a poor light environment? Thanks for everything guys!
4. A short edit from a pure sunny day with talented riders. Everything shot with the GH3, all Natural -5, -5, 0, -5, 1080p @ 50Mbs MOV I've used Olympus 12mm f2 and 45mm f1.8. Some shots with ETC mode, mostly handheld with the Aputure MagicRig. Edit in Premiere Pro CS6, some correction with Fast Color Correction. Your comments are welcome !
5. Hi everyone, This is my first real shoot on my new GH3. Report of a very cool snowboard contest in french Alps (Semnoz). Handheld with two prime lenses : Oly 45mm f1.8 and Oly 12mm f2. Edit in Premiere Pro only. Your comments are welcome! I'm a newbie, so I need advices. Thx
6. Hi, So i'm a Canon 5D Mark III owner and i'm looking for a smaller compact camera as a travel camera, B cam and for street photography. I mainly do video, so video features and quality is important but stills is equally important for personal projects if i'm not taking my Canon out. I've narrowed my choice down to two options - the Oly EM-10 and the Pany GX7. As far as i'm aware the picture quality (in stills) for both cameras is similar. However the GX7 has a 1/8000s mechanical shutter and a silent electronic shutter (which i'm not sure the EM10 has) and I do like the tilting EVF. The EM10 however has that fantastic IBIS (3 axis not 5 but footage shows it works almost as well). The only thing that is disappointing is the 30p restriction and the video quality/options aren't up to par with the GX7. Can anyone offer me any advice on which they think is a better choice? Particularly if you own or have used either of these cameras (or even the similar EM-5/EM-1) please share your thoughts/experiences. Thanks!
7. Ok to start us off, let me show you a comparison I made between the Olympus PEN E-P5 and the Panasonic GX7 I was wondering if anyone has anything similar for the OMD EM1. I'm really considering getting one in the future because of IBIS, but the EP5's video quality was such a huge letdown (it looked like old camcorder footage) that Im skeptical about if the EM1 can be that much better.
8. Hi there, I have been looking at these two lenses lately, both very impressive and both rated very closely, as per this report here. I cannot find any other comparison reviews of people who have actually used both. As a GH2/GH3 user I am wondering if there is any disadvantage in going with the Oly; it weighs a good three ounces more than the Panny, with more fancy lens elements, but don't know if it makes it necessarily superior to the Panny. It certainly 'feels' like a better lens and happens to be much cheaper. Anyone had experience with both?
9. https://vimeo.com/71812380     We are very thankfull for John Brawley's first ProRes Files of the Black Magic Pocket Camera. We have decided to use Final Cut X for grading because we want to know how to get some useful pictures in a short time without using a color grading software like DaVinci. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9V3npOYaktw&feature=player_detailpage     This was my first time shooting with my new hack and I really liked the way it handled shadow, color and motion.   While this was a test in a way, it is also a little more than that becasue it includes mood, character and emotion.   Trey
11. 43 Rumors has an article about the E-M5 being not only hackable, but hiding a bevy of amazing features. Namely,

Focus peaking already exists, it's just turned off.
120fps 1080p
Clean HDMI 4:2:2 output also already exists... and is turned off.
If these are true, and are actually implementable, I for one would flip my shit. Focus peaking is a killer app for me, but the other two are also highly desirable. The hackers discussion of how difficult Oly is making the process of getting the drivers isn't exactly encouraging, though. One would expect the success of the GH2 because of its hackability to get through to even the stupidest executive. I guess not. Thoughts?

13. Hi I am not using my Olympus 45mm a lot because of problems with my follow focus. Lens is almost new and has been used just a couple of times. Olympus M.Zuiko Digital Telefotolens - 45 mm - F/1.8 - Micro Four Thirds Its a great lens but it is just to small for on my rig. I want to try the Samyang 35mm f1.4 (Canon mount please) and i am willing to trade my Olympus lens. Or sell it.... Ofcourse i know the Samyang costs more (new) so make me a offer :)
