1. Halfway through filming our no-budget feature film on the trusty GH2 with a Driftwood Moon T7 hack. Lenses used are Sigma 30mm 1.4, Canon FD 50mm 1.4, and SLR Magic 12mm. teaser: We're running a kickstarter to finish the film here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1914745614/feature-film-the-act-of-leaving
2. With a little luck, Goat Man's Hill will be going into pre-production on our next feature in the next couple months.  In all likelihood I'm going to shoot most of it with "Moon Trial 3" and anamorphic.  A good deal of it will be available light and night in urban spaces.  The basis for my finishing pipeline will be After Effects, Film Convert and ColorGHear.     I've started roughing out various recipes for how the footage will flow through the pipeline, mainly dealing with NR and then the right balance of grain to put back in.  At some point I may investigate C
3. https://vimeo.com/55892502   I posted this over in the screening room, but I wanted to show all the anamorphic guys and gals as well.    Lots of fun and really easy to make this one:)   Trey
4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9V3npOYaktw&feature=player_detailpage     This was my first time shooting with my new hack and I really liked the way it handled shadow, color and motion.   While this was a test in a way, it is also a little more than that becasue it includes mood, character and emotion.   Trey
5. It is winter in Minnesota, and that means snow. There is nothing quite like the experience of a walk in the snow clad Minnesota forests. The soft snow and sharp cold winter air create a new extreme of quiet that can only really be experienced first-hand. The accompanying music can only hope to capture some of the mood. Shut out the hustle and bustle this holiday season for a relaxing 11 minute walk by the frozen Sunrise River behind my home.   http://vimeo.com/56519741
6. https://vimeo.com/55892502   My city has been very foggy lately, so I've been happy to take my 2x Kowa anamorphic off the shelf.    Thanks for introducing me to this lens, Andrew.   And thanks to Nick Driftwood for all the cool hacks he puts out.   Trey
7. Hello, My name is Joshua Pribanic, I'm the Editor-in-Chief for PublicHerald.org. Last year I left my hometown of Ohio to investigate Fracking in Pennsylvania and found Triple Divide, a hydrologic landscape responsible for carrying clean water to millions of Americans. Like my native waters of Lake Erie, Triple Divide is a marvel of Appalachia who's virgin headwaters are protected by a state regulatory framework; at least that's what I thought. 9. Hey all, Here's my first music video shot with the Panasonic GH2. I've done several with the 60d, and working with the GH2 was a serious step up. Such crisp images! :) Numerous vintage primes were used for various scenes, as well as a Glidecam HD1000, and even my Kowa Anamorphic for a few of the "sun shots" although I kept the image squeezed. This one was pretty tough to edit, I could only go four about 4 hours at a time before becoming too queasy. Still though, I think it turned out pretty good. FWIW, the audio mix was by Fredrik Nordstrom & Henrik Udd
10. Hey gang, Just a short clip I put together the other night at a concert.... Couldn't get close to the band, the venue was seriously overcrowded. https://vimeo.com/48690353
11. I finally got some Anamorphic footage, rather than just tests. Here's my footage of EMKE Hawaii performing at Hard Rock Cafe Honolulu. I only have 2 anamorphics (waiting for #3) so the I faked it by making the 5dmkIII super shallow DOF. Not the best option, but it fits in just fine. Please enjoy!
