Yeah, honestly, I don’t think ML Raw would be a great choice for your needs. 14bit Lossless has doubled my storage requirements and has helped tremendously but it’s still storage hungry. For instance, I get about 25-30 minutes of footage on a 64GB card with 14bit Lossless whereas I used to get 12 minutes. A 64GB card costs about $50-$60. With MLVFS, post processing is actually pretty fast now. So I guess, you could make it work depending on how judicious a shooter you are.
Yes, I briefly was interested in the X-T3 and the P4K and the GH5... I like cameras and sometimes it’s strange only having one camera at my disposal but every time I come back from a shooting day and get those files into my computer, I quickly forget about other cameras.
With that being said, I will most likely buy another Micro camera this summer. I really liked it when I had it the first time and being an FCPX user, shooting native ProRes will be a great alternative to ML Raw for some upcoming projects.
As far as the M50, I liked the footage I’ve seen from it. I like how you can use c-mounts for a pseudo 16mm look when shooting 4K, or if 1080p is good enough, you get a S35 image with DPAF.
You have a Z6, now? Why do you want to move to a different camera? With the ProRes Raw update coming shortly, I’d be pretty tempted to hold onto it and see how it pans out. Of course, I don’t know how long it will be before it’s available?

Camera purchased. Seems slightly odd me buying a camera to send to someone else without even the politeness of asking what they’d like...

I’ve been playing with the Osmo Action to learn how it matches up to the Pocket. So far I’m liking it. I might dare say I like it more than the Pocket.

Both are very convenient and easy to carry. The Action is quite rugged, so no concerns about carrying it wherever you go. When I carry the Pocket, it’s in a case until I’m ready to shoot with it. Taking it out and turning it on is an extra step, as no case is necessary with the Action. Also, WiFi is built into the Action, whereas the Pocket required the WiFi module for WiFi. Alternatively, you can use the USB adapter to connect to your smartphone, but again, an extra step.
The Pocket has shallower DOF, so focus can be off if you are not connected to your smartphone. The built in screen is OK for framing, but pretty useless for judging focus.
With a deeper DOF, the Action is always in focus. It’s a point and forget type of camera as far as focus goes. The Pocket is stabilized in all its shooting modes, whereas the Action loses EIS when HDR is enabled. That said, the Pocket has no HDR support.
The battery is removable on the Action, where on the Pocket you are restricted to the non removable built in battery.
Neither is brilliant in low light.
They are both good. I plan on keeping both.

The osmo pocket is sweet! With the little case it comes with, its really pretty well-protected, you can shove it in a bag, throw it in your, well, pocket haha, it's very tiny.
Stabilized 4k 60p is awesome, and the cinelike d profile even intercuts decently well with larger, better cameras, with decent DR. But for a grab-and-go, decent-quality pocket camera, there's really nothing better. My only complaint is that the 4k 60 files are surprisingly hard to edit, even my maxed out 2019 iMac chokes a little bit on them, which is annoying.
As an example, I went on a little jeeping adventure recently and took it along just for fun. Nothing crazy, but so easy to get fun, creative shots, boots up real quick, very easy to use, I take it everywhere with me now:

This is a great example of the beauty of ML Raw on the 5D3... coincidently this is @zerocool22 ‘s video so he could have some insight into his process.
I love my 5D3 and ML Raw and have yet to find a camera I would choose over it. The OG Pocket and Micro are also great choices and the P4K looks to be a pretty great camera as well. But for me, there is just something about that FF Raw image that is undeniable.
With that being said, it’s not for everybody.

Yes, exactly ! Evf, form factor, all the small "gadgets" that make your life easier... would be hard to be back to the big tanks ?  Some guys on the magic lantern forum seem to progress with the EOS R. Would be great, but also could take years to come (if it ever comes !)...

Yeah but without ML they are not so hot on the video side. Photos are nice though. They are a big hunk of a camera though when you get used to Mirrorless cameras.

I do not know if it has already been posted (sorry if that is the case) :
I may be able to buy a camera during the next months, after I let my z6 go (financial reasons, not the camera...). As I won't be able to spend a lot of money, I started to watch a lot of videos from moderate budget cameras and... no matter what I watch, I always come back to the 5D iii...
From all the cameras I am thinking about, I really like the image from the og bmpcc, I like the new bmpcc4 too (a little less though), but I am really love the 5D one ; wow, what a mojo ! The best thing to happen would be a final release for the 5D IV !

I own the S1 and the x-t3 and the latter surely feels like a toy in comparison (I used to own the a7riii too and while I loved the output when it came to photos I never managed to warm to the wonky colors and ergonomics on the video side).
I really like the S1 and can only agree with what is written above. I use it with M-mount voigtlanders so I’m not really concerned with the sub par autofocus. I’m extremely excited about the 10bit internal vlog and pairing it with @Sage‘s Alexa lut.
Thinking about switching my x-t3 to a GH5s but I think I love the Fuji too much.
With regards to size: my Fuji paired with the 23mm f1.4 is taking up just as much space in my bag as the s1 with the Voigtländer 40mm f1.2. The Panasonic setup is a lot heavier though.

I'm stoked on S1H...gonna have to review the S1 though...I know this...and I know I am probably gonna love it. It seems to create extremely rich files and love the color science. Such a shame no reliable video AF....but you can't have everything. S1 or S1H will pair perfectly with my CONTAX Zeiss lenses..

I've written this elsewhere and on my first ever camera review, but the S1 is the most professional-feeling mirrorless camera I've ever used. In my opinion, it is perhaps the first true professional mirrorless outside of the GH5. I've used the A7s, A7rII, GH5, and EOS R. The GH5 has hung around, but the rest were all returned or sold. Yes, it's bigger than the rest, but once you put a lens on it, the difference isn't terribly noticeable than any other full-frame camera (and still feels a bit smaller/lighter than any full-frame DLSR).
Compared to Sony, Panasonic's IBIS is superb, as is its color science and general image. The image quality is fantastic and I can't wait for the 10-bit and V-Log update - I think that will be a big step up. Image quality feels on par with the EVA-1 or C300 that are often my A-Cam already when they are all set to a Rec709 image.
I really hope Panasonic or Sigma get some native f2 primes out for it fast, because I'm not on board with the giant f1.4 lenses most manufacturers seem to be creating now. I use pretty much Contax Zeiss lenses with it and it's a great combo. The AF with the 24-105mm is really very decent in video and I don't notice a huge difference for normal subjects (people walking, one-man interview AF) than with the EOS R. But I'm manually focusing video 98% of the time, so I don't really mind if the AF isn't great and the Sigma adapter AF isn't great. For native glass, the AF in photos mode is very fast - don't notice it to be any slower than Canon or Sony for the photos I take.
My only gripe with it right now is the lens selection - in a few months, Canon will have a great selection of RF native glass and their adapters work flawlessly. Sony has an amazing lens lineup now and the lenses Zeiss are making for them are awesome as well. Same with Fuji - worth buying into that system solely for the lenses and compact size and I've thought about it.
But all in all, the S1 is the most professional full-frame mirrorless camera out there. The only thing that competes on specs and usability is the GH5, but the S1 definitely seems to have a lot more detail in the image and the full V-Log coming seems like it will give it the best dynamic range in the mirrorless game.

With all that said, I'd guess I'll buy the S1H when it comes out, unless there is a crop in 4K or just in general doesn't live up to the hype. But I have a feeling there are some serious goodies awaiting us (still holding out hope for an internal ND...)

I just received my EM1 Mkii from B&H used department and immediately loaded V3 on it.

I am using the Panasonic 12-35mm f2.8 and the autofocus performs flawlessly. As good as Canon Dual Pixel AF IMO and more reliable than the Nikon Z6.
I love the colors on the camera and I feel the size of this body is just perfect. THIS is what I wanted. The EM1X was overpriced and always having a grip made it unnecessarily bulky for a MFT camera. Going to do a review on this new setup soon.

I feel the upcoming Panasonic Leica 10-25mm f1.7 paired with this camera will be my go to "YouTuber" camera for a while. I love the color science and IBIS is magical. Only thing "missing" is a good 120fps mode...which I can just get with my Z6 when I occasionally need it.

So for now my current setup is this:
1DC on a tripod in my studio setup for that 4K MJPG Canon Log.
EM1 Mkii for vlog style, run and gun shooting.
Nikon Z6 for 120fps and run and gun shooting/ backup cam.
Leica Q (which I just picked up used for a steal) pictures of my kid and everyday life/ instagram shots.

    Thanks.
They're just jpegs off the SL as I only used the lens for about an hour after I got it before resuming holiday mode so today has been the first chance I've had to look at what I did with it so I was just pushing them to make a LUT with for when I do some video with it.
I want to use it on the Pocket4K (or my newly acquired Micro  ) but I don't know whether its just me but I don't seem to be getting much joy with M mount lenses on MFT.
I picked up a dirt cheap A7Rii a few days previously to use with the TechArt to have a poor man's AF high res Leica M but only got chance to have this quick go with the 7Artisans 50mm f1.1, which I love on the SL, but the jury is out with it on the Sony although, again, I'm just pushing jpegs about so need to have closer look when I get more time.
