Yes, it’s very interesting. I think there is a lot of potential to this camera. If I was in the position that I could only have one, I would handily choose the GH5s over the GH5. Not that I ever look at my GH5 and think it’s not great, but I am constantly away of it’s limitations. I will not have my GH5s until next week Wednesday. I am looking forward to this camera.

Don't know how many Swedes are on this forum except for me and Mattias so the voice over won't mean much. Hopefully the images tell their own story. Shot on Panasonic GH5 and Olympus 25/1.2 with a Tiffen Black Pro Mist 1/4. Graded with Filmconvert. 
 

Honestly, you can’t go wrong with a lot of the Canon lenses... even the slower “L”  zoom lenses are amazing. I shot these with the 5D Mark iii and ML Raw using the 24-70mm f/4 lens...



Of course with the smaller, Super 35mm sensor of the Ursa, the faster zooms will be better.

Speaking of the XC10... I noticed BH just lowered the price from $1999 to $1799 with the card and card reader and $1599 for just the camera. In fact, it’s a special order only now, so I am thinking maybe the rumored, interchangeable lens version, may be true.

Got myself some new glass for Christmas. I do prefer native lenses but the Sigma Speedbooster combo works really well! Screengrabs from GH5 + Speedbooxter XL + Sigma 35/1.4 + Black Pro Mist 1/4.

What 2.8 zooms with IS would be a good pairing?

Would love to see a Metabones single focus anamorphic adapter in one way or another. Veydra had looked into it, but weren't sure where Panasonic would go with the next gen sensor specs.

I'd say ISO12800 is the 3200 on GH5, that is, the new territory to avoid, so ISO10000 on GH5S the new 1600 limit on GH5; as my most optimistic bet... about 2 stops and a half for lowlight, not bad. Imagine a f2.8 to let you see light as could be a f1.2 pick. With about 1.15x of crop coupled to SB 0.64x XL version, the new GH5S is the new FF* in town!
Even though, from other samples I've seen I'd even include 12800 (where others have also compared 12800 on GH5S to 3200 from GH5 too, so I believe I should not be too much optimistic over here).

I agree, I just want more mirrorless options. I actually like DSLRs, but it seems that Nikon and Canon May introduce more video oriented features in a mirrorless. 
To add, at first I thought it was a bad move for Nikon to go with a new mount and make it more difficult for their loyal pros to use the lenses they’ve acquired over the years but since the flange distance is so small, it may have been brilliant in the end for choices.
On the other hand, I think a FF Canon mirrorless absolutely needs to be in EF Mount.

why buy this when a7sIII is imminent? hell , even an original a7s makes more sense than this...

IBIS really is something I wouldn't go without in a dslr style body, id rather the ibis over lowlight

I don’t know about the headline feature, but it seems the headline will be... “No IBIS... What is Panasonic thinking?” 
I think the article will begin... “With an industry first, Panasonic has not included a feature to protect the sales of their lower end camera...”

Suddenly all the Canon C, all the Canon dSLRs and mirrorless, all the Nikon cameras ever created, all the Fuji's, all the JVC's, most of Sony and Panasonic until a year or 2 ago, all the cam corders and the cinema cameras, suddenly are useless, because they do not have IBIS, and do not shot on 12800ISO..
I shake my head in disbelief.

You GH5 owners are gonna have to paint that button red or hang your heads in shame.  I'm sure someone will make a decal kit with the red ring also.
