Its very informative that Canon have a relationship with a site like that and then get their knickers in a twist with them about mention of Magic Lantern.
So they'll happily contribute to the creation of speculation and fake news about their own products in order to keep people on the hook but actively discourage the awareness of actual facts about enhancing ones you may already own.
Honestly, them having any sort of relationship with a rumour site is a pretty sad indictment of the way things are with regard to the chicanery of the camera business.
If you can't even trust the sites that are actually set up for making shit up to actually make that shit up in an unbiased way then he game has gone!

I've shot the Winter Olympics as a freelancer so it isn't out of the question as long as you can meet the usual requirements of membership of a recognised professional sports journalism organisation such as AIPS and have a body of recently published work.
The accreditation is via each country's Olympic comittee rather than centrally so you have to apply to the one in your country.
As a freelancer you will almost certainly be required to produce a letter of assignment from a publication/broadcaster but this will vary depending on your individual country as will the number of slots available for each specific role (writer/radio/photo etc).
There will also be some rights restriction aspects as well that will strictly define how you can use your content so you will need to make sure that you have that clarified precisely.
I suspect that the more immediate hurdle for you might be the deadline to apply though as it may, as it has with the British association, already have passed.

Unfortunately, its the inadvertent growing aspect of those batteries that has been causing the problem with them getting stuck in this camera.

I have to say that I'm not sure that it actually is that easy to understand why manual focus is the only way to go.
The AF adapters don't just work with the two major MFT camera makers but also with the MFT mount JVC LS300, so I don't really get why BM can't get them to work?
Or why no one seems that bothered about it either.
Does the camera offer the greatest AF options in the world anyway? No, of course not but its quite adequate especially the area touch focus function.
In addition, the throw in manual focus mode on a lot of the lenses that people would be looking to adapt is often very limited so its a bit of a pain to work with them like that.
If BM have no intention of changing this in a later release (and the fact that no one seems bothered about it suggests they probably won't) then I'd say the Aputure device would be the one to get if you can get hold of one as it gives you a bit more precise control of those lenses and of course is the only one to allow any sort of hands off control when it is on a gimbal.  In addition, as it does slightly less reduction than the others it makes it far less prone to vignetting on APS-C lenses.

Now P4K is out and it is rather easy to figure out that manual focus is the only way to go alongside this camera, also time to explore the best route to go other than native glass:

With all due respect, I think it is a bit harsh referring to people as crying babies who are whining when they are actually raising legitmate concerns about powering this camera.
Read my post above about the difference in heat generation between powering it on mains for 8 or 9 hour stretches versus powering it for 10 or 15 minutes on batteries. That difference in heat is not something to be unconcerned about and neither is the random battery life indicator.
I have literally just had mine shut down on me mid take when it waa showing a quarter full.
Yet, thus far, the only OFFICIAL way to power this camera other than the mains adapter is to use batteries.
Everything else until they actually get that cable kit out is some form of cobbled together solution with dummy batteries and power packs.
Yes,that situation will be resolved over time and won't be a concern for people who get this camera in the future but for people who actually DO have it right now, it is fair comment to be annoyed about the situation.
The price of this camera doesn't always give it a pass regarding criticism as some of the criticisms have got absolutely nothing to do with the price of it or could have been avoided with such a minimal price increase that would have had zero impact on sales or anyone's satisfaction that they were getting more than their money's worth.
Oh and @Jonesy Jones, my advice would be to favour any solution that powers it off the DC port. If they ever ship that cable kit

It is not like the camera is free, it is almost 1500€ (inc VAT) here, add a powering solution, some media and a cage and it goes easily above 2000€, and then you build from there. It is a bargain, I agree, but it is not free.
Also, we have the right to criticize, or else it is a dictatorship!

Good on ya. Wish I had done that.

If that were possible, I would have NO working cameras left (instead of the six I have lying around, if you include my drones and my Olympus 3030 zoom that I have been too lazy to take down to the electronics recycling center).
