GFX 100MP is 4:3 format - how about anamorphic support?
this! the Arri 65 lenses are modded Hasselblad lenses which are designed and manufactured by Fujinon. So they have the optics. And the MK, XK and so on. show, they have the mechanical knowledge too.

Can you please ask if Fujifilm has any plans to make some cine lenses for the GFX 100 in the near future or down the line, since the company is clearly prepping for the day Medium Format becomes more common?

Didn’t see any banding in that one either, and I’m not even buying the camera. Fucking bunch of whiny spec freaks in this thread. Like charbax who is extremely disappointed that the x-t3 doesn’t have EVERYTHING HE NEEDS.

It's not a good idea to judge banding by youtube footage.
If I apply more contrast to the youtube frame to show banding, this is what I get:

Now if I go to vimeo and download the original ungraded version, and apply about the same contrast, this is what I get:

And the original ungraded version uploaded to vimeo is still 8bit! In 10bit you will have even less banding.

They will all have crazy banding - after Youtube compression. These cameras are too clean at base ISO, there's no noise/grain to dither large gradients without much detail.

I just bought an XH1 in the "sales".
Stunning camera. Going handheld with my 90mm/F2 is worth every penny alone (for stills and video). Eterna film simulation... wow. Gonna cut my colour correction time down by several hours a week while still keeping around 12 stops DR.

Dear god, no more fully articulated screens. There is no need. Fuji already fixed it with the X-T100. Please save us from the plague that is the fully articulated screen!

Just realized that F-Log footage basically just is nothing else than Rec2020 gamut with a LOG gamma - kinda similar to what HLG does.
Makes it perfectly compatible with ACES colorspace. Just need to apply a curve and have filmic looking footage with some great color.

Now I'm even less sure which camera to choose (BMP4K or X-T3)...
BMP4K footage doesn't work in ACES at all. The red channel oversaturates way too much and I don't think any IDT (CTL) developed by Blackmagic in the future can help - unless they change their color science...

    I agree they should do 6K H.265.
The GH5 6K Photo Mode is the only thing that comes close.
I don't really consider it an absolute must-have but I don't understand why the don't seize the marketing-hype opportunity of being the first 6K camera.
Not everything has to be tied to TV specs, especially for advanced users. Maybe they are worried about the customer support calls when Mr Average tries 6K H.265 playback on his Chrome Book or wind-up CRT television.
By the way I think Fuji are doing a great job. Love the X-H1 and the X-T3 as a photo cam had no reason to be this good at video!! It's lovely for $1500. Let's be grateful it exists.
There are a number of Canon engineers who really admire Fujifilm and look up to them. They must be pretty dissatisfied at their management for the EOS R state of affairs.

exFAT format for files larger than 4GB will be added via future firmware update.
HLG is broadcast HDR, there's no requirement for bitdepth or colour subsampling, can be 420 or 422, even 8bit.
Gimbal these days are quite lower than $1000.
Implementation of H.265 is purely for hardware-accelerated 10bit.

So taking in all the info and videos... It seems like a better sensor, processor, much improved still AF, some strong still features (30fps for 66 frames raw!)... Great video AF, zebras, 10bit 4K/60p (4:2:0), colour looks beautiful, as expected... 120p is now as strong as the other 1080p framerates. 12 stops on Eterna, more in f-log, H265 codec option, much reduced rolling shutter, 17ms in 4K. 4K 30fps now records for 30 minutes, 60p for 20 minutes. 4K crop similar to XT2.
Very impressed, and would bet my house on a 4:2:2 upgrade in the future (Hybrid Log Gamma upgrade already confirmed).
The only thing holding me back is the idea that the XH2 will probably have all of the above plus 10bit 4:2:2 and IBIS, making for a more or less perfect hybrid. They know how to keep you hooked!

Still no 8K 16 bit raw recording at 240fps with sub 500 Eur price tag. Shame. I think i'll wait for X-T6 or GH9.

Maybe i'm reading it wrong, but sounds like 10 bit 4:4:2 is internal (but 4K 60p will be 4:2:0?)

I am still firm APS-C believer - best compromise between size, IQ, price and DOF capabilities. FF is just too expensive and too big. All these FF rumors have me wondering, who has the money for this stuff (professionals aside)? Hopefully, Sony and Fuji will keep the flame alive and Sony won't just focus everything on their FF efforts.

frontfocus reacted to Kisaha in The mystery of the Sony A7 III vertical stretch - was it a hotfix for blinking pixels?
If a Fuji or other brand had such an issue, the reaction would be very different.
Sony has an "under the carpet" mentality to various issues through the years.
The first thing they did when their a6xxx overheated was to change the thermal threshold and warn you to not touch the camera, Fuji from the other hand limited the video time limit and adviced on the use of the battery grip (obviously it transfered some heat from the battery compartment further away to the grip) a minus on the spec sheet, but a more honest and respectful approach to their customers.

Putting it like that sounds like you're giving it a bit too much credit. It's more like a LX100... with a touchscreen, USB charging and new sensor/processor, which is... a bit lame if you ask me. I'm disappointed they didn't do more with it. That's not what 4 years of learning and listening should look like. Guess they're pulling a Canon here playing a segmentation game like that...

I'm not sure how much of this is a full frame thing though. Does Fuji now also need to go Full Frame? They seem to be going quite well in the Mirrorless market.
I see plenty of people using Mirrorless but the minority are using Full Frame cameras.
Sure, in our circles of users that shoot video, the A7 series is hugely popular and a small number of pros photographers are making the switch  but does this make up most of the sales? I genuinely don't know but the article you posted didn't list Sony Full frame as the reason did it?  It actually stated that users wanted something better than their phone but without the bulk of a DSLR.
Either way, In terms of Mirrorless, I think Fuji are the ones who have really nailed the whole system. Fantastic colour science, compact bodies that are actually a joy to use and small affordable lenses that give up nothing in image quality to the best from Canon or Nikon and are built like the best from Leica.
In the age of people wanting to post high quality images instantly, Fujis SOOC Jpegs are among the finest.
