I think the ursa mini pro is a better option right now (unless you need low light).
More DR, build in raw recorder, prores.

I see what you mean regarding a GH5-type camera and that would be awesome. Maybe this is still in the cards for them in the near future, but I can also see why they are doing what they are. Problems as a new camera company aside, the image out of the Ursa Mini is amazing for that price. I can see why anyone would be excited by this cam and the possibilities with their tech that only they know at this point. I'm hoping they have the predicted success with their pro model and maybe we'll see these other cams like a new pocket sooner.

The more people know about the Ursa's image quality - which blows the c300 mark ii and fs7 out of the water - and the compactness and usermenu system that is 400x easier than either - the more people will rent them.
I'm blown away by the ursa mini 4.6k.  Blown away.

What is happening here? Recent articles include how much you love the 1dxii and how the Leica SL is your logical upgrade path, and now you write some sort of attempt at satire against high end cinema? This was very uncomfortable to read. 

And dont forget the 5D III RAW is 14bit, as I like to shoot in some crazy lighting scenarios. I get banding with every other camera I ever owned other then a 5DIII. The colors are just great, bright red key light, no problem. (I shot something similar with the A7S II, and the colors were so ugly that I had to use a "black and white" grade. )

I visited NYC in winter last year for a week and I brought my A7S ii, and made this small travel video, made the edit a bit more narrative allthough it was unscripted footage. 
Also used a DJI ronin-m, and pp was mostly pp4(which is kind off a hassle, as I like colors from slog2 way more, but the noise at night from slog2 is even worse, however I could have used a stop more as the DR at night is high when you have these building lights, but general rule of A7S is to ETTR 2 stops , so maybe in the end I should have used slog2 and denoised it).

But even if it was just 1080/24p only with the alexa sensor... I'd be all over it... that sensor is pure magic

I own both cameras as well and definitely think the 5D3RAW image is more impressive looking.  I think the C100mk2 looks sharper overall due to it not being a full frame camera and not having a filter on it like the 5D3 has which needs post sharpening.  Below are some 5D Raw dng files with a graded versions.

Most of the amateurs will be happy with whatever Panasonic offers for 600euros while those Panasonic's are plug and play and the footage appears without much hassle on their brand new shiny 65" 4K TVs.
Video companies are becoming more specialized because not a lot of people will be buying exotic video cameras with additional equipment to run, and not amateur friendly codecs; and the worst part is that they are NOT taking photos. How many are these specialized amateurs that will create a buying buzz (and absorb the R&D and marketing funds) for a completely new video camera? 
My impression was that pocket was good for a lot of indie people (I have seen a few around Europe) but never was the "pocket" camera its name promised. 
I am editing a project with the pocket right now, the whole rig was huge, the second -huge- battery didn't work and my friend lost the last 40 minutes of the performance we were recording and the video files were unnecessary big for such a low budgeted project (80GB for the pocket, and 60GB for the NX cameras with at least 40 minutes additional footage!) and the other cameras we had were around 40-50GB.
Great image, but it was somehow out of place in my opinion. Great idea, poorly manufactured.
If they can really make it a great portable pocket camera, then I will reconsider!
This Ursa is the most interesting camera they ever produced, and the fact that it is available right now is a statement that this time they are really serious.

The c100 is a handy camera, but the image is nowhere near 5D III RAW, I even prefer the c300 I image to c100 II.

I never heard about quick sync. So I googled it, it seems it is not compatible with Davinci Resolve nor Adobe Premiere/after effects. 
So Im thinking going AMD ryzen all the way in a couple of weeks.

By owning and running a very popular blog for professional, enthusiast and hobbyist videographers, you should reach out to Nikon and suggest they include Raw video on their upcoming D750 successor.
Based upon the semi-recent news from Nikon hacker, we know that Raw video is at least possible with their hardware/software.
I believe the D500 shoots 12 & 14 bit Raw, so these new cards should be more than fast enough for at least 12bit Raw.
Since Nikon has zero high end video products to protect, they may be the perfect fit for the first prosumer camera to include Raw video...
Unlikely they would take a chance on it, but I bet you could get an ear to listen and argue your case.

Just chiming in to also stand up for 5Diii RAW. It can be very easy and fast to work with in post, once you master one of many possible workflows which are differently quick / slow and simple / laborious.
I use it professionally every day. 
Image quality downsides: there is very slight aliasing, its 1080p is not as clear as a downsampled 1080p, dynamic range is "only" 11.5 stops.

Get a 70D then
Already has DPAF and Magic Lantern raw.

I'd rather they cracked the EOS M5 or M6 anyway, as the mirrorless form factor is better suited to video.
