  1. Afaik it does. But i didn't doublecheck:)
  2. That would be pretty sweet. Give it a mountable and tiltable 2.5" monitor plus (mini) sdi and we got the perfect bmmcc4k. Gruesome name.:) One can put people on ignore? Didn't know that. But that doesnt help if i'm just reading but not logged in. Can you read mine? Hallo? Can you read my post? Hallo?😂 @zlfan, you don't need to pump out post after post. I read some nice informative stuff and even nerdoms best from you. Unfortunately I also found plenty posts to be very irritating and even quiet some unbearebly offensive stuff. Why not stop those antics. No two posts nor even more in a row, no flaming, no halfbaked assumptions, no getting rigid. I have the feeling you are already skipping the rudeness. Now let go the other antics as well and it will be awesome for all of us. I sometimes get a headache from just the sheer mass of flow consciousness from you. Chill, mate. It' so much better to chill and enjoy one and another. Otherwise this forum will be truly in danger.
  3. If they come out with a smart adapter, that would make the Z9 the biggest Mft dslm camera ever to throne above all of them.😂 @BTM_Pix
  4. Would love to see some footage, if you come around to share @Jedi Master and if you don't mind the hassle with uploading, editing, which I have become a bit lazy these days, as my professional aspirations and obstacles in that have been hindering my flow a bigger bit. So i understand well that sometimes it is not trivial at all to share stuff. I myself will get back on track but for now I feel a bit in a phlegma. Got some interesting footage from my S1H during a wrestling testing all kinda modes. That was four weeks ago. So I'm not in a hurry myself about sharing.😊 C300III is a great camera. Had a chance to compare its internal h264 codec with my Bmmcc during a demanding shoot and the Canon outperformed it clearly on the technical level of the footage. It is a valid allarounder with a cinema quality image. C70 allows to adapt to more lens mounts such as Konica, Minolta, Canon FD, Leica M, C- mount and what not. But a rocksolid PL mount is of course a great feature. The Meike Cine lenses are pretty sweet. Congrats on your choice. 🙂

    A6700?

I will have my nerds eye on this cam. If overheating is manageable for 10min takes with 2min breaks, then it would be interesting. That's an estimate that even rhymes.:) No hurry though. Maybe @SRV1981has settled for one though I would still suggest an og S5, if Hdmi is not needed and size is not a major obstacle.

    A6700?

Already forgot about toying with the thought of trading something in for this camera. Good thing, so I don´t have to figure out about overheating. I will learn the no-more-gas-syndrome, the nmgass.:)
  7. No, I didn´t. I try to recall if I did a test out of my window last summer. But I think that could have been 2022. I know I did a test in 2021 out of my bedroom. 😂 One thing for my exuse: my cable sdi to mini sdi broke, so i couldnt use my blackmagic video assist. I didnt want to pay 30eu for a cable nor did i enjoy to wait for cheaper ones on the used market. So I figured I couldnt film anything meaningful with its internal codec. But maybe it is just to heavy to lug around to shoot something in 420. 🙂 It´s my only PL mount camera and internal is actually pretty impressive in a way for being 35mbps and 8bit. So I gonna keep that one. I should send kye some of the original 420 slog files for analysis, which were still on the card when I bought the camera. That stuff is impressive. Hard to believe. And still, I have not shot anything meaningful with it.:)
  8. That T2.1 lens seems to be a Zeiss CP lens in EF mount. Am I right? @Jedi Master Or what else? Did you carry a tripod along as well? Heavy Daddy and Mama, oh Papa! What made you buy the C300III over a C70? Do you regret your choice of the former over the latter when it comes to strolling the city?
  9. Holy crap. You made my day! 😂 @Emanuel I got two FS700, two LX10, two Bmmcc, an S1 and S1H, to name the twin cameras, not mentioning the single lonely units. 🙂 I can explain. I bought both of the LX10 cameras from a youtuber for an impossibly super low price 1.5 years ago, my second Bmmcc barebones in 2022 for 250, second FS700 in 2020 for 500, S1 december 2020 for a very low price back then. BUT, it all sums up to lotta money and I have a hard time to keep my kits nice and tidy and to even use em. I will HAVE to sell my S1 and one of the FS700 cams, maybe both. Lenses? Let´s not even start!
  10. Happy New Year, dear friends! My year was ambivalent and full of lessons. Film bizz in Germany is very rough and ungrateful if you are trying to enter the field of large narrative projects. I had an accident, a branch falling on my head. They immediately looked for a substitute for the rest of the whole gig and they still have not paid me yet due to some mushy accounting routines. Canceled jobs due to reasons intransparent to me. Got taken advantage by an upcoming director, working for free in advance of a contract. 😂 But I am happy about the things I learned and my passion for video and film is bigger than ever.
  11. @John Matthews That would mean 20mm and F2 for M43, in S16 terms a 14mm F1.4, in 2/3" a 10mm F1. M43 is the only one fitting the bill for your goal of a 28ish F2.8 S35 equivalent and being light and pocketable, so your GX850 with the Olympus 17mm F1.8 or Panny 20mm F1.7 pancake would be the lightest kit, with slightly larger aperature compensating for the additional 4K crop. No ibis nor ois though. LX100 would deliver F4 equivalent and LX15 F5.6 in S35 terms. LX100 with its slightly cropped m43 sensor (2.2 crop compared to FF) performs like this according to slashcam: 16.82mm focal length with F2.4 giving in photo mode an equivalent of 37mm full frame with F5.28. In 4K video mode that translates into 40.36mm and F5.76 full frame equivlaent due to the additional crop, giving you 28mm with F4 equivalent in S35 terms in 4K video mode.
  12. Hey, Glenn, remembering your cool BW videos with your RX10. Btw, F version of the ZVhas a crop in 4K and a fixed focal length at F2. No thumb wheel would be a bit of a bummer for me. I might get an additional grip for my LX15. Maybe a cage, also for some additional weight. 🙂 I didnt get to film anything today but I went to a wrestling match in November. It did good for what it is. This month I went again, testing out my S1H a bit. Both experiences were fun. The official streaming people filmed with Sony hybrids, either A6xxx series or the FF ones looking like the A series. I found it a bit akward to see them using hdmi sdi converters instead of using a FS700 or FS5 instead.
  13. That is some of the most outrageous stunts I´ve ever read about on this forum. What heavy biggie of a lens did you accompany your C300 with? Have you ever thought about sharing your footage with others but your friends, do you mind sharing with us?
  14. Now I feel motivated to film a bit tomorrow. Got my LX with me on my vacation. Btw, like many 8bit video classics, the GX and LX are awesome BW cameras when filming in colour and doing the BW afterwards. The LX10 does a good job of stabilizing handheld shots to give the impression of locked shots, even just the lens stabi in 4K.
  15. What new camera? What did you film? Would you like to share?

    A6700?

Any A6700 users here? How is overheating in practice from your experience? I havent owned a Sony photo/hybrid camera since a 1/1.8" 5MP CCD camera in 2005, a Cybershot W1. I loved the colours from it. I am thinking about trading some of my unused stuff in for the Sony. Overheating behaviour of the body in 4K recording would be the main criteria, barebones without or blowers attached to the body.:)
  17. I think the LX10 is a brilliant little camera and it is a smart move to use one in its 24 or 25p 4K mode. 🙂
  18. 2/3" crop/sensor estate is not too shabby at 2.8. If you watch Harisson Krafts videos you might possibly not feel so sure about the RX100 3 to V being the winner in the image quality department. @John Matthews The lens looks magical at this aperature on the LX15 throughout all focal lengths. It sports the same sensor as the RX10 1,2,3 afaik. Crop in 4K mode did not hinder me to film some of my best personal footage ever with it. The cake is in the pudding of the lens. Processing in 4K is just as good as on the GX85. I still need to experiment with profile settings a bit more, but I would leave saturation untouched, noise reduction and sharpness all the way down though. I have started to treat it like a S16 F4 camera. I got two of them but only with one battery for around 120 Euro from a youtuber. Heck of a two camera deal. 🙂 At 200 Euro used price I would still consider it a good purchase for image tinkerers. One needs to massage the image in Davinci a bit and save some presets and secret sauce for best effect. But that´s half the fun of it.
  19. Modern televisions with 100/120 hertz technology are no longer bound to 50 or 60 Hertz. 24p images are displayed at 48, 72 or 120 frames per second. Neither a 3:2 pulldown for NTSC nor acceleration for Pal is needed. A film recorded at 48fps and displayed at 48Hz looks videoish and a film recorded at 24p displayed at 48Hz does not. 24p is still the main standard for feature films all around the world. In Germany and other PAL countries 25p used for narrative TV production, 50p for soccer. Both can be displayed at 50Hz.
  20. Wowsers, that´s very useful. I find the LX10 to be a little gem, due to lens, functionality and effective image quality in 4K when graded. The 2/3" 4K is no slouch. It trumps a Lumix G6 in lowlight. Like Harrsion Kraft I find it to be one of my most fun cameras and my personal camera of last year.
  21. Is there an option for resuming or fixing focal distance as well? One thing I love on my LX10 is the character of the lens. Using it at F2.8 in its 2/3" 4K mode gives me a DOF equivalent of F8 in S35. I am very fine with that. I actually adore the fact that it crops into 2/3" sensor format, showing me how little sensor estate I need and how little of technical prowess is needed to produce an image of cinematic beauty. The little LX10 provides. Give me that in S16 4K 10bit 150mbit HLG and a MF mode with hard stops. Price it 649 EUR. The HD 24p AVCHD mode seems to be of similar quality like the G6 in it´s best mode. 50p is very brittle though. 25p might be the same. TZ100 is for sure an interesting camera to buy in 2024 unless one has committed to the non purchase rule for the upcoming year. 🙂
  22. Big respect for the labour and dedication. Gotta love the easy listening music. Wondering what music they are listening to during their lunch break.:) Sigma also does the very fine adapter from L to EF mount btw.
  23. My experience with shooting under tungsten light and wanting a warm cosy look is not to use a clinically correct manual WB but rather a higher color temperature like 4200K. Unless an Aces workflow will change that completely I found it close to impossible to reproduce that warmth in post after a technically correct WB, even with 10bit cameras. Merry Christmas everyone. 🙂
  24. Merry Christmas anyone. Merry Christmas Emanuel. A little question between the merry joys of the this time of the year:) Have you been continuing to use RAW recording on your phone after the first joys of pocket cinema quality? Or has it been just a sneak peak into a curiosity for you? @Emanuel Pinned HD on GH2,3,4 and G6,7 is very nice. G7 providing my favourite HD image even over the GH5 when it comes to textures, high resolution and absence of digital oversharpness.
  25. Astonishment by the sheer sensation of a blue hour magical moment, dreamyness, a story possibly to unfold or having end. You got that right in(front) the camera. 🙂 @PPNS
