This is exactly the reason and it should anger their customer. They should've just released both cameras at once, 4K on both.

You are the same people who said years ago that FHD was completely enough and that 4K was useless, when we were telling you it is not about the people having 4K TV to watch your 4K movie, but about the cropping, stabilisation, noise, resampling, and so on that allows you also to have a lot nicer FHD image. Soon the same will be true for 8K to the 4K content we will deliver. 

You are the same people that said the 12mpx of the D700 were absolutely plenty enough for photography, that more was absolutely useless unless you print on a wall, where I am using 24-42mpx sensors all the time and benefit all day from their cropping capabilities, better noise, better details even seen on my 15" laptop. 

Anyway, just like 90% of the people on earth, you are reluctant to change and with people like you we would still be using nokia keyboard phones.

Anecdotally, a coworker of mine said he had to replace a SanDisk SD card multiple times under warranty and he is not a power-user at all. Anecdotal evidence cannot be a basis of overall brand reputation (I never used Lexar, but also never heard anything good/bad about them). In hindsight, you should've used the dual card slots for their intended purpose. Sorry for your loss, hopefully we can all learn a valuable lesson here.

12mpx, 4K60fps, PDAF, A9 body (battery, dual card slot, extra controls) etc., electronic shutter, but artificially limited FPS to something less than 20, possibly a full size HDMI and some other port instead of ethernet and flash ports on the A9

Sony A7II/R/S with the tweak will record unlimited, not overheat and can be powered by USB. However, the camera battery gets depleted a bit also (someone should confirm this).

You guys are forgetting that no waterproof accessories are included with the Yi cam, whereas GoPro supplies then in every package - the price difference isn't that dramatic. Also you can discuss IS vs gimbals forever, but in the end, every user has his own needs and the market gives options for both.

Well, yeah. Amazon is known for its extremely small profit margins and overworked employees (in warehouses at least), so it is reasonable to believe the finances of owning DP are being carefully monitored.

Dpreview will always be a very good site for camera research, since most of their ISO, DR etc, claims are supported with a few image examples. Anyone can decide if the examples support their claims. They even have tracking AF videos, so you don't have to believe what they write and check it out yourselves. Is there any other site offering standardized ISO samples for most cameras with a handy comparison tool? Take their words with a grain of salt (and compare them to other reviews) and you are good to go. Likewise, it would be insane to trust Andrew as your only source info when researching a camera.

A proper comparison would be:
A7SII vs A6300 + Speedbooster, the lens staying the same (you get the same FOV and DOF). The price difference is much less dramatic, but still not small. And A7SII has IS with any lens.

Actually, we have established why DJI can do 4K60p - by using fans and having a lot more space to work with in regards to heat dissipation. Smaller mirrorless bodies simply cannot process that much data and not overheat fast. Much the same as smartphone sensors being able to capture 4K60p for some time now, but it would fucking fry the phone with the current processing power.
