If the S1H was made by any other camera manufacturer we probably would never seem them in a timely manner. Luckily, this is a panasonic camera. ?

    I have Voigtlanders, had SB's...
But, please, Mr, when you start statements with "The new order will be"... or "BM is joke of company" it seems to me that it is not quite logical to expect answers - because you are so sure you know everything and in advance make impossible any exchange of arguments.
(Moreover, I must admit that, personally, I'm especially sensible to such attitude in conversation - but, of course, that's my own problem and I'm sure someone else will applaude to such tough-definitive close-the-door words. Unfortunately, I'm so tender, soft, even meek, so always ready to recede in front of such authority... )

Listen, I'm a happy Canon user, so yes you will find me generally speaking positively about products I own in Canon related threads.
The difference is I don't go into other brand threads I don't own (and have zero intention of owning) to troll & toot my own horn..

Thanks! It was a very simple setup : tungsten light (2 x dedolight Panaura + china ball, some LEDs for background) and Zeiss CP3 50 and 85mm + 1/4 Black Pro Mist on Pocket for Close-ups. The look was mostly made in camera, I was shooting on 5500K white balance and then made a few tweaks in Resolve.
iso was around 800-1200 , but I`ve added analog grain in the grading
    Thanks!

There are a couple of exceptions but I'd say in general terms that the past 5-10 years have produced better drama TV series from the UK than comedy.
That could all change post 29th March of course when God knows we'll need something to laugh about.

Well, there is always something better coming around the corner, I try and not obsess much over that or else you're just chasing the dream. As a working pro my only concern is what tool fits my needs now. I'm invested in a system, and i don't intend on switching everytime the competition drops a newer, better body. When Canon drops that pro body you're talking about well I'll upgrade to it, simple as that.
Limitations, i try and work around them, every camera has its strengths & weaknesses. IBIS is neat, however, we got along fine before it and no cine cam even uses it to this day. I'd hardly call it a deal breaker even if its a nice convenience. Canon's smart EIS (using gyroscope & 2 way lens IS com data) is a workable alternative & might even prove to be better in some cases.
For stills,  i look at the system as a whole: lenses, color science, ergonomics, AF, flash options etc.. that is what is going to get me the picture I want, not a sensor/chart comparison. Yeah Sony sensors are the best, but I still prefer what Fuji & Nikon do with them.. YMMV.

I do not know the others, but came from another winner the NX1. I have the X-T3 since a few weeks and I am really impressed about filming with the Fuji. Only the size and feeling in hands, battery life ... NX1 still winner. The X-T3 produces colourfull footage also when there is less light. I filmed recently at 'Winter Efteling' in the Netherlands, most shots during evening and even night. Very colourfull and even at ISO 6400 good. For (professional) photography I think perfect... for me ;-)

A few of my 2018 winners would be :
"Signpost Award" : Insta 360 One X, not for its actual 360 necessarily but for pointing the way to how much that omni-capture can bring to the table in terms of stabilisation and re-framing for regular flat content. I picked one up just before Christmas and whilst its not my first rodeo when it comes to 360 cameras, its the first one that has really delivered on the shoot now frame later concept. Don't get me wrong, it is full of flaws but it is very close to being there for being the first choice leisure/travel/vlogging camera for a lot of people. It doesn't take much imagination to consider the possibilities for other type of film making as well if manufacturers like Pansonic, Fuji, Sony etc were so inclined.
"Hannibal Lecter Award" : Fuji for cannibalising sales of its video centric X-H1 by having better video specs on the X-T3.
"Bob Marley Award" : Jointly won by Sony for making everyone Wait In Vain for the A7Siii and Blackmagic for the Pocket 4K batteries Jamming.
"Horticultural Award" : The Blackmagic Pocket 4K for sprouting more plants than the Chelsea Flower Show in this forum in September.

Jimbo got a reaction from kye in Beast short film — 24 hour production with GH5
    Happy new year all!
I’ve finally (finally!) made my first short narrative film.
I’ve been a full time videographer for 8 years now, writing on and off in my spare time, but never actually got out and turned my writing into a film.
So I decided enough was enough and asked my brother if he was up for the challenge of making something in our home village over Christmas.
8 hours writing and pre-production, a single 8 hour day of filming, and 8 hours of editing.
Loved the process. Lots of lessons learned. Here’s the result, and would love your feedback.
    Cheers,
    James

if you would imagine for a moment that photography is like food, then i would contend for the rest of your life you can only eat 3 things steak, potato and beans. while you might live a long life, it would be kinda boring having the same stuff everyday. much more interesting is the idea of a smorgasbord occasionally which is what a bunch of lenses gives you

I know where you’re coming from.
My wife had been shooting on her Canon 750d for a year (now 6D mk II). She specialises in newborns. I’m always astounded at the colours. The skin looks perfect. Always thought it beats the crap out of my Sony / Pana images!
Fuji is the same. I get that same feeling. I can definitely get there with the GH5 or other Sony but like you say, there’s something missing you can get so easily from a Canon or Fuji image. Their motion is better too.
I think this is the reason people get so infuriated with Canon. They WANT to shoot with one but the video features slam the door on most desires.
Sayin’ that, I’m going to try the C200 and maybe I’ll find a new friend, and become an intolerable Canon fanboy! ?

I got one early August its been flat out amazing. The images even in 4k 8-bit are stunning (surprisingly good DR and this is coming from a guy who used to shoot only Epic-W). And Canon is close if not tied with Arri for making cameras that are so easy (and fun) to work with. 2 fully charged lightweight BP-60s and you can go a whole day.
Remember the stunning beautiful Blue Ruin by Jeremy Saulnier: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uIwzTUzmXto
Shot entirely on the "weak" 8-bit 1080 codec. ?

All of the following photos were shot with my Canon FD 85mm F1.2 from 1976 on the Fujifilm GFX 50S. Medium format at F1.2?! Yes, it works and no vignetting!
I am really interested in what Fuji is doing at the moment, but with the most interesting cameras at the show just a development announcement and dummy body-design, we'll have to wait a bit longer for them to truly reveal their cards.

I have to disagree! Panasonic have had an absolute hit with the GH line, culminating in the GH5. If they can bring their incredible video prowess to a full frame body where we get Panasonic video AND 42mp stills with 13+ stops of dynamic range, Varicam-esque colour science, and two card slots for the pros, then they will strike gold. It's basically two fingers up to Canon and Nikon, hence the countdown and 6 month early announcement. Damage them pre-orders... I just hope they excite with the lens lineup.
