Of course Blackmagic are profitable but at the same time, compared to what the rest of the industry are doing, they are 'pretty much' giving away their products.

Would be great, but actually wouldn't bother with the processing I've seen in the X-T3 clips so far that much.
The sharpening in the Z6 clip is causing the terrible artifacts we see in the new clip - which has some really nice compositions btw.
If it can be turned off, the camera would be great for video work, especially with something like the Ninja V attached.

A feature film I just finished. Many shots in the trailer up to ISO6400. Everything shot on the GH5 (two shots on the DJi Phantom 4 Pro and one shot on the GoPro 6)
Still wouldn't want to continue shooting on the GH5, since the Blackmagic Pocket 4k and Fuji X-T3 look way better while the new Nikons look a few steps back.


This was shot on the X-T3 with the standard sharpening setting which actually looks great.
So if you do sharpening, do it right. ?

This is a 4K camera so you have to judge it through a 4K screen. Any other way is a joke.

With the new BRAW codec, you shouldn't need to record onto anything other than SD cards.

No idea if it is really turned off but in the menu of the d750 you have 4 high iso nr thingys....should be the same in the z6.

It looks horrible due to the grade. 
F-Log is basically Rec2020 with similar color coordinates and it looks like no conversion to Rec709 has taken place which results in kinda Sony like skintones - I agree.
But the potential is there definitely. Definition and texture look great even with standard settings as it seems.

The GH5 isn't great and maybe not much better in terms of overprocessing in comparison to the Z6/Z7.
The footage actually needs lots of processing to hide the internal processing which is as it sounds, ridiculous.
The footage from the BM P4K wouldn't need any of that, just put a diffusion filter on the lens and you should be good.
The grain in the ISO5000 sample I saw, looked really pleasing, wouldn't even denoise that.

Castrop, So why invest in expensive cameras if its only made for phones?

It was shot in ISO 8000 and thats what we judge. And the remarks about "most whatching is done on 1080p" is not relevanat because in the very near future, it will change.

And sharpening algorithm tries to compete with my phone...

If you're waiting for a camera that shoots uncropped 1080p RAW from a 4k sensor I've got some bad news for you...

Apart from the bad color grade (Seems like they forgot to apply a Rec2020 to Rec709 (both gamma 2.4) conversion beforehand) this looks absolutely breathtaking!! So much resolution, but still smooth...

Nah, Apple tried that and everyone hated them for it. I think this is the smarter approach when it comes to creating a standard.

Only a temporary grade apparently.
It's some good looking footage, which shows a very beefy codec in action.
I just don't like purposefully 'dead' look to the skin tones, it looks like a zombie film.

Haha, so BM made the C.Fast and USB-c recording feature obsolete before their camera even made it to market. 
Also their eGPU isn't needed to use the footage at all.

I like to underexpose myself, because the most important thing for me is the mood. Well offcourse a shortfilm like the release of the C300 would be MUCH better marketing. But I liked this video of the vintage lens, and it does not look overly sharp. These are just quick test shots from the users, and not pieces of art that can stand on their own, So I am not bothered by the story or meaningfull moves, I am just looking at the image at this point. Stabilization at this point was not relevant for me, as its easy to stabilize this camera so I was not bothered with the handheld jitter. Nice to see how it performs handheld. A few pans couldnt hurt anybody though to see the rolling shutter. 

Each to their own. I think the footage looks good. Reminds me alot of the BMCC.. This sensor has very similar characteristics. I think the white balance was slightly off Other than  that encouraing stuff

Some of these look like shot on a phone in terms of aliasing, overprocessing, bad dynamic range, lack of texture etc...

I would rather get the Fuji X-T3 or BM Pocket 4K which look way more organic/filmic or even wait for the Panasonic full-frame offering.
