For anyone wonders, the underside of the grip has two mounting holes, so no more spinning on the tripod plate.

I've seen a couple complaints regarding F-log banding/blocking on DPReview forum. Most people don't care though, not everybody is an image quality purist.
Doesn't look like a hardware problem so bad copy is very unlikely.

Observation from preliminary testing GHa on X-T3:
With F-log, even at 10bit 400Mbps, applying two LUTs (F-log to V-log then GHa linear) produces noticeable banding in the footage. The F-log banding issue was discussed in other threads but using two LUTs really accentuate these artifacts.
HLG works amazingly well, the GH5 HLG preparation LUT is a perfect match (BT.2100 HLG is a standardised colour space so shouldn't come as a surprise). Again as discussed in another thread, HLG on X-T3 removes the magenta hue. Shades of blue have that Alexa signature cyan tint.

Kind of summary for DR 16 (link). The whole thing is here (.pdf).
Also for a quick edit, or for preparing proper edit, etc. Several possible uses of a new Cut page.

"Timeline level resolution, frame rate, scaling and monitoring settings within the same project"
FINALLY. It's one of those things that wasn't a dealbreaker, but was annoying for a few specific projects.

"Adjustment Clips to apply filters, effects and grades on top of a range of timeline clips"
Nice. One of the main things I miss from Premiere.

    "Improved Fusion playback performance"
That's been my main complaint against Fusion's integration vs. Fusion standalone--glad to see improvements in performance.

"ResolveFX Object Removal in DaVinci Resolve Studio"
Really looking forward to trying this out.

    "ResolveFX Vignette"
I could have used this on one or two projects in the past, glad to see it.

"Playback speed indicators in Resolve viewers"
Cool! This will help with creating speed ramps.

"Support for using DaVinci Resolve Studio dongles to enable Fusion Studio"
WHAT? This is AWESOME! I'm so glad I never bought a Fusion dongle now haha.

It doesn't look like they have added support for FLog in the color space transform. That would be a nice addition for Fuji users. Though, to be fair, I've found HLG to be better than FLog on the XT3 so I probably wouldn't use it that often.

The S1 (GH5 and GH5s also) uses temporal NR which usually does a way better job than the spatial noise reduction used in the Pocket 4K shooting Braw and ProRes. The only disadvantage might be ghosting in certain situations - but even on the GH5 it's not really a problem. The biggest advantage is that there's way less texture loss and the image is cleaner.

Amazing. I moved to Resolve last year and haven't looked back. For my editing I think I have sped up my workflow by about 30-40%. Plus it doesn't crash every 5 minutes. Bonus!

I'm a photographer by trade, so nodes seemed intimidating at first, but nothing you can't get over with an hour of mucking around and tutorials. In fact, I find Resolve much more logical and just plain wonderful when color grading, even if Premiere does seem simpler at first. There's a reason why so many Hollywood films are graded in Resolve.

Node based workflows are superior to layers and lumetri by a long shot. That feature is one of the biggest and best that DaVinci offers. I used to think otherwise when I was using Adobe alot, but I can not work any other way.

He was using ISO1250 plus Braw.
So basically no highlight dr + plasticky skin.
By this video it actually is.
But seems like Matteo ignores any trick anyway:
shooting cDNG instead of Braw avoid shooting at ISO1250 in contrasty situations grading in another colorspace like ARRI log C or IPP2 for way nicer roll-off (RCM)

Not that the P4K looks bad, but these sharpening halos (easiliy visible in the thumbnail around the jacket even) make the P4K look way less organic than the original BMCC.
Was shot in either ProRes or Braw. Cdng doesn't show any of these internal processing issues when sharpening in Resolve is set to 0. Still wondering why BMD joined Panasonic, Sony, Canon (since EOS R) etc...

    Here's an example

Q0 looks better but still cannot compete with cDNG. cDNG at 4:1 may show macro blocking though when pushed too hard. But at 3:1 it's usually clean.

It looks basically exactly the same lol
    Same fringing
    same sharpening halos
    same noise reduction

Since the ARRI Alexa doesn't have sharpening halos when shooting ProRes, nor my exported ProRes footage does and Braw and ProRes on this camera look exactly the same on the P4K I really don't think so.
Really didn't switch from the GH5 to the P4K for BMD to apply even more noise reduction aka texture reducer than Panasonic...

Sure; it depends on what you'd like. Fuji and BMD have very good, usable color. I personally will use P4K with GH5; I hope to have EC to do a production this summer.
8 bit is tricky; I'd prefer to only support 10 bit cameras, though I will try to find a way that will give viable production level results with 8-bit. I think Log is not really in the cards there.

Bit of really cool news; last weekend, the director of a film starring Josh Hartnett wrote to me to say that they were using the GH5 with EC as a pick-up cam alongside Alexa Minis and XTs.
He said that a senior Star Wars colorist was doing the grade, and said that 'everybody was very impressed' with it. I was pretty thrilled with that
