Why, after going with all these mediocre to bad Tiffen, Heliopan, Genus etc... VariND filters I finally found a good one.
Tried B+W as well but didn't notice any big difference justifying its price tag nor lack of stronger ND steps.

You'll want those Resolve CM settings at default; the entirety of the data is accessible. One can think of the input and output settings in Resolve CM as a 'global CST', so to speak. For 2020, one could then use Arri's 2020 from their generator after the converted LogC. Granted, accurate post monitoring workflows can be challenging to set up.

Nice work guys; sure, Aces is a viable route (VLog -> LogC -> Aces). With the next release though, EC will really exceed the aesthetics of standard LogC routes in every way
Well, I've certainly blown through my own deadlines. Best steer clear of further prediction until the exact date can be guaranteed beyond a doubt. Progress on the P4K is good (which directly benefits the S, and 5).
Here is the first 'P4Ka in the wild':

Made to eliminate gamut clipping issues in the first place, but also eliminates the brown cast of BMD Film V4 for the BMPCC 4K and 6K (soon), provides a nicer roll-off for skin, red lights, tungsten, blue lights etc, fixes incorrect color and targets IPP2 Soft Rec709 conversion. A BMD FILM V4 to RedWideGamutRGB/RedLog3G10 conversion to work with inside a native IPP2 workflow is included as well.

    Pocket 6K version coming soon:

I don't have an S1 but out of curiosity I downloaded the v1.2 and v1.1 bin files.
I wasn't particularly surprised that they would be different sizes but hadn't expected the v1.2 file to be 4.5x bigger than v1.1....
Upon, erm, closer inspection, v1.2 contains multiple loaders and post boot references which might suggest that there is more to come in terms of additional functionality via additional license fees.
    Let the RAW speculation commence

This Lut fixes the brown tint, gamut clipping, roll-off issues, skin etc. and is made to look similar to RED IPP2 Soft Rec709 conversion - a conversion Lut to RedWideGamut/RedLog3G10 for a native IPP2 workflow is also provided.
Can't wait to hold the Pocket 6K in my own hands - seems like it's more color accurate.

Oh wow thank you, did not know this one even exists ! I had the 12 f2 on APSC, 14 f2.8 on FF and I tried the 20 1.8 FF, but 16 T2.6 FF could be the perfect balance. Very tempting. Unfortunately, I can't find a lot of reviews. Also, I was checking reviews concerning the 135 f2 and... what a lens ; they hit a home run with this one. Great for portrait, awesome for astrophoto.

The Haida VariND I bought is named "haida proii-s mc variable nd". If I remember, I got it from ebay, as I couldn't find it in stock in "regular" shops. I believe this is it : https://www.amazon.fr/Haida-PROII-S-Filtre-variable-ND9-ND1000/dp/B00GUOPM26/ref=sr_1_2?__mk_fr_FR=ÅMÅŽÕÑ&keywords=haida+proii-s+mc+variable+nd&qid=1566116628&s=electronics&sr=1-2

When I bought it, raving reviews were everywhere, like the new Samyang of the filters world ! I also bought 3 filters from Haida (the same class if I remember well), but non-VariND ones as I wanted them for stills only.

Edit : just took an image of it

So I guess getting this camera on Monday for an upcoming job by the end of the week is probably a bad idea 😄
Still have my Sandisk Pro 95MB 256 and 128GB cards here, I guess they should work fine for video.

Still waiting for mine to be delivered. I received a mail from Panasonic France on august 9th, saying I will receive it in a week (so I hope I will have it on Monday or Tuesday). But i believe the delivering method is country dependent. I tried a Samyang 20 1.8 with MC21, and it was great. I returned it, because I want larger field of view, and I will order the 14 f2.8 next week (want this sigma 14 1.8... but my wallet and backpack don't). I also got an Haida VariND (love it !) !
I have the 24-105 L "kit lens". Of course, not a character lens, nor extremely bright, but so useful range and unbelievable dual IS. I just tried the LINEAR focus mode with this lens. First time for me, and it is just wonderful. You can quickly change the focus adjustment range from 90° to 360°. I leave it on 150° and adjust when I need to have more or less range.
I am still discovering the camera (more on the still side for the moment), but I really love it.  Also, concerning cards, it seems to work well with my "old" Sandisk pro 95Mb/s ; I tried 4k 24 and 4k60, and I faced no problem. I hope it will be the same with the Vlog upgrade (I believe @Lars Steenhoff confirmed that), so it won't be an expensive cards eating machine. I may order a Lexar v60 to try.

I mean by using a higher resolution the Braw induced issues are basically irrelevant now.
The image has lots of texture, low freq detail, no visible sharpening, fine grain etc. after the image has been downscaled to 4K.
    Am pretty happy about it.

I'm a manual lenses guy.  I despise auto focus for my filming.  Even when it works I find it more of a curse than a blessing.  Weirdly, I like it when subjects move out of focus and someone on the other side of the lens makes an organic correction to maintain it.  And I love a slightly sloppy but creative rack focus.  It's a neat trick of the craft.
I'd rather have imperfections created by humans than perfection created by programming.
Am I simply justifying my anachronistic (read: old fart) attitudes or do I really have a legitimate point?   Am I alone?  Is anyone else attracted to this?

I prefer to focus manually but can't make a lens magically stabilise itself. Make sense?
When handheld I like to use the EVF - how do you tell the camera which part you want to focus on when using AF? I don't trust it to read my mind

Many of us never use AF in video. So it's not "excuses". More like "not caring".

Time of Flight / LiDAR continuous autofocus is really quite remarkable technology. There are rumours Panasonic will implement it on future cameras like the GH6. Don’t you wish the current autofocus-challenged cameras like the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K or GH5 could have amazingly smooth Dual Pixel AF-like performance?
Well, you could soon be in luck. Time of Flight Autofocus is a reality and I’ve seen it working.
With this prototype add-on, a Time of Flight sensor sits in the hotshoe and talks wirelessly to the Pocket 4K. The autofocus motors in the Micro Four Thirds lens are commandeered based on real-time depth sensing information from the LiDAR beam.
I met up with CDA-TEK’s Ian (BTM_Pix on the forum) this week in Manchester to take a look at what he’s been working on.
