Well you just like soft images. Nothing wrong with that.
How much do you like this one ?

Some here can guess which year we will finally have a right camera?
I mean, PROS from some manufacturers are CONS from others. Sony = poor ergonomics which is a Pro of Canon and vice versa and that goes for every pros and cons.
Since years I have been begging for 1 manufacturer to bring those Pros together. Truly Camera market is the most disappointing industry in the world.
Canon, give us a FF mirrorless with rotating multitouch screen + PDAF + EF Mount + usual colors and ergonomics + GH5 video specs and be done with it.
No one on this planet having more than 2K to spare and interested in photo + video would buy anything else. Sony would be instantly dead.
So what are you waiting ?

We should see canon cameras in museums, not stores.

Photography has got to move forward.
We have been using the same shit for decades.
Mirrorless is a step in the right direction of course.
Samsung tried a very brave thing with a huge touch screen on the Galaxy NX, the only Android based Super 35mm interchangeable lens camera on the planet and customers didn't buy it.
So perhaps Canon's customers are to blame for Canon.
If all they want in 10 years of technological innovation is the addition of a swivel screen, then so be it.

You guys made me laugh hard.
You are the same people who said years ago that FHD was completely enough and that 4K was useless, when we were telling you it is not about the people having 4K TV to watch your 4K movie, but about the cropping, stabilisation, noise, resampling, and so on that allows you also to have a lot nicer FHD image. Soon the same will be true for 8K to the 4K content we will deliver.
You are the same people that said the 12mpx of the D700 were absolutely plenty enough for photography, that more was absolutely useless unless you print on a wall, where I am using 24-42mpx sensors all the time and benefit all day from their cropping capabilities, better noise, better details even seen on my 15" laptop.
Anyway, just like 90% of the people on earth, you are reluctant to change and with people like you we would still be using nokia keyboard phones.
Thanks god the 10% do exist.
Can't wait for 8K 1000FPS 14 bit 400mbps x.268 to arrive in my hands! Stay with your 480p cameras!
No insult in my message, take it with humor

wolf33d got a reaction from Eno in Canon 6D Mark II lacks 4K video - What were they thinking?!
The worst in all this, is that they will announce in a couple of months a FF mirorless, it won't be any better for video, and that will be even more a shame.
Sad.

Hello Matt, of 2008.
I hear time travel is popular these days, how else did we end up with Trump?
How's your DOF-adapter going?
Did you sell your DVX100 or did you bring it with you to 2017?
When you get back into your re-Tardis...
Give Dr Who an A7S, it will be a great pub-trick when you return to 2008.
Cheers - Andrew

wolf33d got a reaction from Cas1 in Panasonic GH5 - all is revealed!
Wow wow wow
You guys are really amazing. I do not know where to start but I will say this:
to @Emanuel I do not know why you keep attacking me, and start now by judging me. You tell me I take too quick conclusions on gear, yet you judge me personally without knowing me at all. Funny isn't it?
to @jonpais well, I am not sure you realize what being in the backcountry under 120mph winds, rain, hiking 15 miles a day for multiple consecutive days mean. It means that I reduce my weight as I can (and have those cheap super light 12-32mm was a choice of mine in this regard) It also means I do not have the time to put a ND on when the light requires it, then remove it - under the rain - when the light changed, and so on and so on. You have to think different than a normal shooting situation.
I am just an amateur doing is 3rd travel video, going to Patagonia to enjoy trekking. I try to have the shooting experience the most automatic and non intrusive possible.
This was not a professional shooting. I did not go there for the movie but for me and my girlfriend. So I do not care about your ND filters. I cared about enjoying and bringing then back a memory taking form with this movie
Now if you have a look at my Cuba video, conditions were better and easier and I had more time to shoot manual (including focus) as you can see below.
I was just sharing the video as this is a GH5 thread. And giving my thoughts about the camera. I think that should be the last time I share something here if it is either to get personal attacks, either to try to say I am dumb not to be able to carry a 1 ounce ND filter. I really do not get your points.
I received many constructive comments from friends (critics about some of the transitions being too repetitive for example). Yours were not.
And the slowmo stuff VS filming in high res is a personal choice. For high res, I take photography (see my gallery here: http://bit.ly/2rMLPRb let me know if you have constructive comments)
My previous video (Cuba) should be more to your linking in term of ND filter, resolution and shits

wolf33d got a reaction from Emanuel in Panasonic GH5 - all is revealed!
I returned the GH5 cause I Was in the 30 day return window. Won't hesitate to purchase again if AF magically becomes good.
But a little bird tells me that I have better chance waiting for the A7SIII.
At the moment my only projects are my travels anyway. Don't need something right now.
In the future I will do a round the world trip so thats another story.
Spoke to a DJI VP the other day, told him why on earth would they not make a drone (wether a Phantom or Mavic who cares) with the Mavic form factor but with the Phantom 4 Pro 1inch sensor camera. I said even if the drone is twice as big as the Mavic, just the same form factor is what I want. Would buy in a heartbeat.
He said they are not developing that but would do if demand was here.
Am I the only one thinking the Phantom form factor makes no sense vs the Mavic?

Seen all of this. I replied to the Mavic thread. I am now using +1 sharpness and neat video
As for the GH5 update I do not believe they can do miracles with contrast based AF, pardon me if I am wrong
480p? Are you sur you did not mean 144p...?
Don't forget it is slow mo only 120 and + fps. Don't forget the shitty lens, and YouTube. Otherwise I don't know what to say.
No way I would bring a 12mm only. I needed lightest weight PLUS zoom versatility.
Your comment for AF and landscapes is not relevant, I am shooting a person in a landscape, not just a landscape.
And please watch my Cuba video on my YouTube channel. It looks a lot better and it was shot with A7RII and also you will see why I need the focus.
