I am not against ergonomics in general at all! (don't wanna be a fool... LOL : )
I am just criticizing the weight some people give to the topic here or in any other cameras forum. There are much other aspects to consider when we choose a camera IMHO. Aside the fact, this issue can also stand in a subjective approach, as Mattias pointed out.
It hasn't impacted the task to not buy a camera IMO. I differently agree that buying/using a camera for form factor is a whole other matter, though. Two different perspectives.
C100/300 are indeed a fine example. Samsung owners praise their devices as we all know here, too. Nothing against on their/your/our likings on the subject matter.

Because I dont agree with you
For my hands they aren't any better or worse than other cameras.

He means Dual IS, the IBIS has been confirmed to work with non lumix brand lenses.

Luke has stated that he's used a Sigma lens on the GH5.

I thought as much. Next thing is to find out if a Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 + 0.71x Metabones Speed Booster will vignette on GH5 - given that there's no crop-factor in 4K like GH4.

That's some lens... Does anyone know if AF works with these non Lumix lenses (with an electronic mount)?

It should if it is a Canon mount lens and you use either a Metabones smart adapter (focal reducer or non focal reducer) or Kipon (non focal reducer only).
That is it should at least work for AF for stills.     Video will need someone to try the lens with the various adapters.

I got 2 GX85's for a specific project, so I can attest to the brand loyalty thing.  I've used Panasonic cameras for a long time and brand comfort makes the choice to buy-in to a new camera for this gig a bit easier.  Plus, the dang things are ridiculously cheap.
That said, I still think the 5-axis in the Oly EM5II is just a touch better than what Panasonic is offering; industry leading.  However, there's a caveat:  that's only when using non-OIS lenses.  If you have a Pany OIS lens paired with the Panasonic sensor stabilizer, it's really good.
I'm also really loathe to turn away from the ergos of my EM5II.  I'm surprised that I connected so much to the EM5II, to be honest, but I do love how it just works.  If only Oly had better motion picture IQ...

You forgot a very very important point: Autofocus. Panasonic really lacks a good AF and if we could have a similar AF as A6300 that would be really awesome.
Just because of this I will hesitate between 5d4 and GH5

Maybe I need to shoot my parkour and dogs before EOSHD can get a pre-production unit.
Remember when they gave me a GH3... and a GH4... and invited me to feedback sessions... This time - nada.
Maybe it was the Panasonic CM1 smartphone review?!

Man this camera sounds so good. A true video workhorse with 12 stops of DR, improved RS and an excellent codec. All for less than £1700 (almost half the price of a C100 II and a third of an FS5).  Neumann's sample footage is stunning. Really looking forward to owning one of these.

8 bit is enough if you expose correctly unless you are into heavy grading. 10 bit is plenty enough data than 95% of anyone but a feature film is going to need.
Don't get me wrong who doesn't want more, but 12 bit say 4.4.4 takes a lot of space to use, and Raw 14 bit is crazy a amount of space..The GH5 will
pretty much have all you need which is nice. Now the 60fps 4k will be only 8 bit. So that Might need a external recorder for that.

Looks good, you're absolutely right, it is an amazing camera with the true cinema camera touch. Too bad the Micro Cinema Camera wasn't quite the replacement for it. Though, the BMPCC could really use that Mosaic Engineering VAF, IR cut filter, image stabilization, vari-angle touchscreen and better battery life. I hope they get to read this and take it into account for their new year's resolutions. Imagine something like that in the G85 body. Gold!

I bought the Pocket again last month because nothing else would cut it. It just has such a pleasing, rich image to it, with great color.

True, most pro people do not (especially the old ones, they don't like to share the "secrets" of the trade!), I am sure there are "amateurs" that have a much more "professional" attitude, skills and quality than self-proclaimed professionals.

There is useful know-how to learn from professionals and useless yadda yadda too... Such as same technique any curious shooter will find based on a few practice and self D2L ( desire to learn : ) The PRO tag means nothing at least to me. The amateur, on the other hand, is variably more prone to give something to the world, no less often much more than people are used to associate to the professional missing link.
An interesting piece of gear can always bring something in the right hands, for sure.

People speak of XLR as the end of it all but in my view XLR itself is nothing but a chunky connector standard that should have never left the studio. If anything, it's the mini XLR that should be used on the field cameras.
But then there's really no need for balanced inputs if the cable run is not very long and prone to interference -- and also phantom power is not something that is necessary with every good mic to be found, e.g. Ambient TinyMike is great and it doesn't require phantom power neither a battery. Feed from commonly used wireless receivers such as Sennheiser G3 also doesn't need phantom power; neither it is balanced, so a 3.5mm jack is totally fine. All you need is a decent preamp/ADC.
NDs and good AF have also been implemented in the mirrorless form factor -- and so if the heat isn't a problem, I really don't see any reason going for a bigger body. The ergonomics of GH4 with a few programmable buttons and touchscreen works great for me for the run and gun type of work.

The GH5 is shaping up to be the best sub £2500 camera of all time. Panasonic are truly back on the map - they will shift tonnes of these in the time it takes for their competitors (at that price point) to catch up.
4k 60p will be the new prosumer baseline starting point.

The MTFs (http://www.fujifilm.com/products/digital_cameras/x/fujinon_lens_xf56mmf12_r/specifications/) show that it's a very good lens already wide open. The optical design is interesting too.
I would say that most Fuji lenses are very good wide open and get incredibly sharp stopped down.
For me personally Fuji lenses have reached the point, where I don't use the aperture for sharpness control but only for depth of field. There is always enough sharpness.
