Short video of Chicago trying the GH5. There is 4K, 180 VFR slomo (with aliasing...), timelapse and hyperlapse. Even though the sensor can't match my 5D and 6D for ISO, the DR seems better for timelapse.
 

Great job with matching these two cameras...for those preaching the 5D as the holy grail...it's your opinion...nothing but subjectivity there...I remember one critisism of the GH5 being that you can actually match it with the 5D...or have to...lol....well only if that's what you're looking for...I prefer Panasonics image over Canon...what does that mean?...NOTHING....to be exact...just my taste...my preference...just like yours....and it holds the same weight...if the 5D is the image you're loving....happy for you...as I'm happy with my Panny cameras....

Don't know if this was posted elsewhere, but certainly not in this thread. Some technical limitations seen with AF and IBIS if you look closely, but a really nice quality that shows what you can get out of V-Log.

The key seems to be to test and learn the camera settings..

Or if one's  too lazy for that, you can just live with the look in the A6500 that makes the guy look like he has Jaundice...

Correct, there are no limits on recording duration on the GH5 in the UK  

There is a psychological war going on between the powers that be and this is the fallout. I spoke to a store in the UK yesterday and they said that Panasonic date they had was (week commencing) 20th March and that they still expected the cameras this week.

There is no option to bake LUT into the footage - for now. But hopefully if enough people ask for it, there will be. I've asked around and this is something some of the Lumix ambassadors were also talking with Panasonic.
As far as I know for now, all you can do is to convert a LUT to Varicam .vlt and use it, the function is called V-log L View Assist and it only works in V-log L and although it would be very interesting if Panasonic could open that option for other picture profiles, I doubt they will.
But the ability to select, preview and bake a LUT in-camera would be very useful and welcomed.
