bm 4k vs red one mx or red scarlett vs 5d mark iii raw

Kind of a personal question, but if it were me, in a commercial with a small crew I'd avoid risks. Is it for broadcast or for web delivery?

BM4K sure will be a nice camera for an affordable price and is due sometime in the near future but... when? Will enough SSDs have been tested to be sure you're not going to run into unexpected behaviors?

Same could be said about 5D Mark III RAW. Much as I love what ML is doing, it is still alpha or beta stage... not reliable enough for paid work IMHO.

Red One MX, despite it's disadvantages, has been around for a while and a good DP will make the most out of it. Same with Scarlett though I've heard of some people having trouble with it (reliability).

Is RAW that big a deal? If not, there are other options. Sony F55 is around the price of the MX, C500 (or C300 for quite a lot less).

Definitely BMC4K is expected to be the best bang for the buck... when it's released... and tested.

this commercial will be in movie theaters…(doesn't have to be raw)…but I was thinking the most affordable would be the 5d raw or red mx..??

Hey all, I'm looking to shoot a narrative short film with controlled lighting early next year and am thinking about shooting it on my original BMPCC...
I know, I know. No 4K, terrible low-light, and horrible battery life. But if 1080p was fine, controlled lighting throughout, and an external battery solution, is it better for me to use the original and cancel my 4K pre-order? I could use the money saved to pay for an additional cine prime/actually pay actors a decent wage...
What would be the advantages in this case of using the 4K over the original?

Hello all. I am selling my Atomos Ninja Flame set. Very nice set. Has only 15-20 hours of use. Extremely clean, and well maintained. I treat all of my gear with care and respect. This is a beautiful set! Almost like-new! $795.00 - plus shipping (insured at full $795). PayPal only.

It's hard to part with the recorder, because it is a great tool, and an amazing monitor - but all my main cameras have 4K built-in now, and I just never get to use it. I want it to go to a good home, where it will get a lot of use.
Includes: Atomos Ninja Flame monitor/recorder, Hard case, NEW sun hood, original set of 5 master caddies, original charger, (2) original Atomos batteries, docking station, HDMI cable, original manual, NEW microfiber cleaning cloth, coiled D-tap to DC cable (never used), 2 power cords (one hasn't left packaging), Control Cable (2.5mm Female to 2x 2.5mm Male). Check out the pictures and see how well maintained and what a deal this is!

Thank you for looking and best wishes!

I just got a brand new 1dx Mark II, I’m using a SanDisk cf card, not a cfast card. I recorded a lot of 4K footage, and about half of it came back corrupted - I could view it in the camera, but not on the computer. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Can I get the footage repaired? I can’t find anyone else who has had this problem so far.
