Dummy batteries are known to burn batteries. If you get the DC of the battery to DC into the camera, you'll be fine. This way you can also keep a real battery in the battery socket as a backup for when you need to swap the NPF battery. This allows you to leave the camera turned on all day if you need to.
This cable that comes with this should do the job. I use this exact pack to power my camera and it's perfect.

I wouldn't recommend using a monitor to power your p4k, it could potentially burn out your monitor and camera.
Tom Antos killed two monitors trying to power the pocket 4k via dummy battery from dc out...

@wyrlyn You could use any monitor that takes NPF style batteries and then use a battery like this, which has a 7.2v DC output as well:

To my knowledge, all Atomos recorders use NPF batteries and so do most others.

A quick rough output of the app doing zoom/focus control of the cheap and less than stellar and not in any way par focal Panasonic 14-42mm lens on a Pocket 4K.
Video shows servo zoom, snap focus between two memory points and transition between two memory points.

wyrlyn got a reaction from Mako Sports in Back from the dead? 8 reasons why I am warming to the tiny Canon EOS RP
I am sorry for people who bought EOS R, this one is basically the same, also with eye AF, and almost half the price.

You do know Canon is adding eye AF to the EOS R via firmware don’t you? I’m not knocking that the RP sounds like good value, but the EOS R has 10 bit out and CLog, magnesium alloy build and a larger battery. I feel the RP is a good option if money is an issue. However, barring that the R is still better overall. And well it should be, it cost substantial more.

Looks like Blackmagic Raw isn't to far away! Someone from the Blackmagic forum went to a Blackmagic camera masterclass and noticed the P4K was running firmware with Blackmagic Raw installed.

Whats that ?
You want to be able to wirelessly view the live video feed from the Pocket 4K while controlling it like you can with all those other cameras?
There is no app that can let you do that with a Blackmagic Cam....
Oh.

Yes.
It will be published on the 27th.
Of this month.
And this year
I'll put a bit of an update here later in the week with a couple of pictures and a final run list of its functionality.

Personally I think the P4K and a vintage lens is a winning combo.

Ever heard about proxies? I don’t think a single professional sits down and starts editing even ProRes 4K footage. Unheard of in my field.
