Can I make a small request. If you see a post you want to comment on and it has, like 6 massive images, do us all a favour - don't quote, just reply under it and mention the username. We don't need to scroll through 20 of the same images on one page, thanks!

Shot extensively with the 18-55, 16-55, 50-140, 10-24, 23/1.4, 56/1.2 and 55-200 -- all on the XT2. I've also spent time in camera shops demo-ing just about every other X-mount lens available. The absolute worst AF of all my lenses was the 56, followed closely by the 23/1.4. In good light they're fine - slower and noisy compared to the LM lenses like the 16-55 and 50-140. But in dim light they hunt a lot and are really slow to lock. The 56 was useless at night, I just couldn't get it to lock onto anything. I bought it to use as a low light portrait lens and stopped carrying it because it was just so frustrating in use. Bokeh was gorgeous wide open, it has great rendering, but AF is a chore. My Sony 85/1.8 on the a7r2 and now the a73 is a pretty dramatic difference, much faster and very useable in low light conditions. The 23 wasn't as bad as the 56, its moving a lot less glass so that helps. They're both pretty bad for shooting video because of the noise and the hunting. I find the 10-24 to be better in low light, so I typically carry that instead of the 23. The 90 with the LM motors is significantly faster than my 23/56 combo, so are the f/2 primes. I really wish Fuji would update the older primes with newer focusing motors.

I am really happy for Fujifilm, they are believing in their products, this is very encouraging for those who have to invest money on the future.
Let's not forget that it has an uninterrupted raw burst mode up to 30fps with a sensor cutout 1.25.
I will never buy Canon again because of their anti-user policy.
The Fujifilm has geared the right gear, we must support the builders who invest in innovation by moving the bar of the level and pushing the other brands to give more.
I will buy this camera without thinking twice and I will avoid the banal and obvious colors of Sony six-monthly cameras.

No, surprisingly not. The other day I did some digging to see if it was still a thing, downloaded some test footage (ungraded, sooc) and really loved it. Tbh, from what I know so far, the Z Cam looks like the clear winner for me. However, the Fuji can take photos as well, so it would be MUCH cheaper since I could sell my old camera instead of add on a dedicated video cam. I'm looking forward to playing with footage from the Fuji!
I can sort of edit 4k H.265 without transcoding in Resolve (I have a decent computer), but I usually create small, 2Mbps HD proxies in H.264. If I edit in Premiere, I export the XML into Resolve otherwise just edit the proxies in Resolve itself. When I'm ready to color, I use the Conform from Bins feature to switch out the proxies for the originals, do my color work, and export. If I need to go back and make changes, I can always Conform from Bins back to the proxies, edit some more, and then Conform my way back to the OG files. It's really very easy, all things considered, and saves terabytes of space over the course of a few projects, compared to Prores.

Looks like the 2k is up to 200.
If this camera is as popular with the rest of the film/video community (We have too many Fuji camera's as it is...) maybe we'll see Sigma or Tamaron make some X series lenses.  The popularity might also force Fuji into re-releasing some of their primes with OIS and *crosses fingers* adding OIS to optically spectacular 16-55mm brick.
We're going to pre-order one, so when it comes in, let us know what tests you would like to see and we'll post them up.

So taking in all the info and videos... It seems like a better sensor, processor, much improved still AF, some strong still features (30fps for 66 frames raw!)... Great video AF, zebras, 10bit 4K/60p (4:2:0), colour looks beautiful, as expected... 120p is now as strong as the other 1080p framerates. 12 stops on Eterna, more in f-log, H265 codec option, much reduced rolling shutter, 17ms in 4K. 4K 30fps now records for 30 minutes, 60p for 20 minutes. 4K crop similar to XT2.
Very impressed, and would bet my house on a 4:2:2 upgrade in the future (Hybrid Log Gamma upgrade already confirmed).
The only thing holding me back is the idea that the XH2 will probably have all of the above plus 10bit 4:2:2 and IBIS, making for a more or less perfect hybrid. They know how to keep you hooked!

Very good video. Cannot believe the difference between FCPX and the competition. Wether it is exporting or stabilizing etc it is just so much faster.
Also I was personally very happy to make the switch from Premiere. FCPX make editing much more pleasant to me in general on top of the speed advantage.

It’s a bizarre little lens. Cheap any way you look at it. I’ve been using it on the GX85, makes the whole combo tiny. And I like the image I get. Not fast, but at f4 it’s not for low light stuff anyway. There seems to be no decent review out there that I can find, not from the usual suspects anyway. Which is a shame, because for a low budget kit this lens seems a no brainer.

Yeah, it's crazy that we now have to put our hopes on a LX10/15 successor, which they might actually try to appeal the vlogger crowd with... but with the decisions they've been making lately... I'm not sure. This LX100II is a bit of a joke. A lot of people were disappointed about the GX9. We haven't seen a true G80/85 successor. They've split up the flagships into 3 different models, each lacking certain things so if you want two of those, you'll be ending up with two cameras. Price has gone up significantly. Things have gotten downhill a bit after the G80/85 on the customer end of things and value wise. Wouldn't be surprised if there was a change of management at that time. But I'm hoping they can get their shit together, because this will drive and keep people away. They were all about giving you value and listening to the customer. And the flagships still do great things, don't get me wrong, but I feel their strategy is changing and I'm not loving it.

I could not care less about this APSC camera but I like this. The more 4K60p 10 bit camera on the market, the more chance people like Sony put this (or better) in their cameras like A7S III.

I would love to have the new Nikon Z camera having 4K60p... would be amazing and would replace my A7III (assuming AF is as good).

First time i've logged in for many months as I have been so happy shooting with my XT2 that other camera news didn't interest me... But this was worth a log in! I absolutely love the XT2, but banding is a problem, so 10bit should fix this. Fuji colours are just so, so beautiful (even better than Canon) and the Eterna lut/simulation is so nice. If the AF is further improved, this will be the camera of the year.
It amazes me that so many people ignore Fuji, but I actually quite like it that way... Feels like being part of a select group. Stills are exceptional, the lenses are beautiful, solid video specs, good DR, the best skintones in the price range and constant firmware updates. I think this select group is about to get alot bigger though, once people see the Fuji colour in 10bit glory.

You have to persevere and look past the AI and JPEGs. Seems I gotta keep saying it... shoot 40MP raw and not the 10MP JPEGs, but I would think that would be obvious, especially when it's the main selling point of the phone, it happens in built in camera app, no third party app required, and it's fast to save a shot, less than 1 second in fact, which is amazing considering the resolution.
Here is the iPhone X vs P20 Pro RAW. Click for full size...
    iPhone X

    P20 Pro DNG

Until now phones have seen little benefit to their raw modes, with perhaps Samsung being best of the raw bunch. iPhone X and Google Pixel XL actually take a step backwards in raw, especially in low light.
As for video, yes iPhone X is much better.

    Here's a set I'm slowly collecting / modifying.
    Pentax SMC Takumars:
    17mm f4 24mm f3.5 35mm f2 50mm f1.4 - 7 element 50mm f1.4 - 8 element 55mm f1.8 85mm f1.8 105mm f2.8 135mm f2.5 200mm f4 I've de-clicked them, had 3d printed focus and aperture gears fitted and lightly grub screwed, shimmed them all for infinity focus with EOS adapters, and have 80mm fronts on all but the 17mm. Yes, they're a bit slow at either end, but with an A7s, plenty of fun to be had.
