  1. Was getting close to pulling the trigger on this then I discovered external recording is limited to 4k 1.8 crop wtf Canon I am wondering how bad the 1080p 60p is.
  2. Gorgeous, Lapse you posted earlier was amazing too
  3. That's discouraging. That said he's comparing this to cameras that are shooting RAW. H264 10 bit is never going to compete with RAW. The real issues are the clipping problems. Makes the camera almost useless IMHO. Not sure how the hell that got past their testings. Sounds like the issue isn't the same in every camera??
  4. This clipping issue sucks badly. Pretty much a no go as I do wedding videos. Hello blue DJ light clipping
  5. Yeah the human tracking is a game changer, seems to be reliable too
  6. The big advantage to Sony would be the new model will have their latest AF tech which is really good. Also speedboosters
  7. This is great news honestly. I wouldn’t even care about Canons shitty SLR lineup if their cine cams were more affordable and well featured
  8. Good codec with canon auto focus and 6k, not bad. I’d wait on Sony’s next S35 cinema cam though. I’m hoping it’ll be around $6000 with similar specs.
  9. Yeah but to a certain crowd auto focus is non negotiable.
  10. Yeah no auto focus I assume though. You also got to kit red out more and are limited to CFAST on the Komodo(maybe?), also no E-ND's, stupid move on RED's end IMHO.
  11. Yeah I assume it'll be in Ursa Mini territory. The Ursa Mini 4.6k G2 is nice, but having amazing auto focus is a huge plus. If its FS5 size or smaller its pretty compact too, compared to the URSA. Having the ability to do small files sizes in 4k is nice too.
  12. Yeah but on the video camera side there hasn't really been much development as of late. Of course Black Magic's cameras are a great deal but this will cater to a crowd that wants auto focus. If they aren't crazy expensive I'll definitely consider getting one. I wish Fuji was at Sony's level in terms of auto focus. For professional use these will be perfect.
  13. Honestly this is great news too. Venice color, E-ND's, 10 bit internal and Sony's amazing auto focus, 6k sensor. What more can you ask?
  14. They got rid of overheating in the smaller A6 APSC cameras so it seems like they could with full frame too, even with 4k 60p. I mean the XT3 does 4k 60p in its smaller body. I honestly think its a money motivated move not a lack of tech. The A73 is probably still selling pretty well.
  15. Pretty annoying. Thankfully HLG seems to have the same dynamic range(I think?). Pretty crippling for vlog. Of course if its a studio setting its not a problem but if you are event or street shooting you could easily get screwed.
  16. Sounds like dreaming to me. Of course if it does have all these features you speak of I'd be down.
  17. Yeah I am not an editor. I used to use HLG on the GH5 though, but that was for personal projects. Plus my B cam the XT30 doesn't do HLG
  18. Yeah and I think they are making a good move. Being in focus is more important that vibrant 10 bit color. I'd even likely buy a A74 if the only update was no record limits and no overheating in 4k. Something with super reliable auto focus is very important to me. Using HLG is kind of the color workaround for Sony although everyone I know still uses SLOG2 and they don't seem to care either.
  19. I meant delivery to my clients
