Super 16 crop at 2.5-2.7K (whatever it works out to) and frame rate upto somewhere in between the 4K and HD like 72-96fps would be nice.

If people took to the limit the cameras that they criticize so much, maybe they would not need to buy higher cameras that they do not even get 50% of.

I can see Panasonic giving it the ole college try with the gh5s in light of recent events. 

On the contrary, true professionals use the right tool for the job and do not rely on one camera to do everything. I've worked on high end TVC's where we have used an Alexa Mini, A7S and the old pocket cinema camera on the same shoot. Nobody cared what the clients would think (had 10 clients/ agency on set last shoot!)  about the A7S, a 'consumer camera' being used. A professional sees the potential in any camera and just gets on with the job of making great pictures while people on forums bitch and moan because they can't find the camera that does it all. 
The pocket 4K will be an amazing camera at an amazing price. Sure, a tilting screen and internel ND Filters would have been nice but they are easy fixes.

Seriously, though... I’m just joking around but really I don’t get why people are getting so fucking angry over a stupid camera... or even worse what some people on a nerdy camera forum think?
If you like the GH5... then awesome.... there’s no reason to get the PocketII... really I’d prefer it. Isn’t there already enough footage floating around that looks exactly the same... do we really need more?

You could just shoot in the 4:3 6K anamorphic then crop to widescreen like when super 35 crop on film is used tho right? Does that give similar res to the 4K mode? (haven't used a GH5 yet) Maybe they just feel people who're worried about the NR/sharpening will do this. 

I do not like hyperbolic language ("garbage", etc.) and I think that subjective opinions on how videos look ("looks plasticy") do not add much value (but are interesting). However,  I think that worse are personal comparisons that imply that some poster's opinions are more worthy than others'. While I think that is of course true, the weights placed are purely subjective and the criteria not obvious. The best videographer or DP might be a total ignoramus about anything but the camera he or she uses, or a paid shill for some manufacturer, or a poor communicator, or be logic-challenged, or see everything in black and white (not literally!). And an armchair enthusiast who never shot a video might know something others do not and have exquisite tastes regarding video art. Or someone may know more about optics, sensors, or production techniques without ever even seeing a video. Most respected critics of art (including film) do not paint or shoot. "Greater minds" is not conducive to free discussion - should there be prerequisites for posting (submit your videos, or take a test - which camera has the best low-light performance? why is 8 bit better than 10 bit? write down all the perks you have ever received from manufacturers )?

You can always smooth practically anything, except a considerable weak acquisition codec at low bit rate as for instance or under certain severe artifacts such as aliasing or moiré or yet from insufficient color sampling (not exactly the case there for 95%-98% of the circumstances), going along dedicated craft and proper skills on both capture and post.

If this is true then everyone should ask for it even if they don't need it, or even have a GH5/s for that matter. It would facilitate the democratization of this price segment even more by also putting pressure on Sony or Canon/Nikon if they decide to join as well.

Trust me, I have my hands on some ProRes and DNG materials from the camera (acquired from NAB), it's clean af up to about 6400. Noise pattern is very pleasant fine grain, due to lack of compression obviously. The sensor is confirmed to be IMX294CJK, it's the STARVIS line from Sony Semicon with BSI design, originally intended for low light surveillance.

To me, just getting more options beyond 1600 is a surprise for a blackmagic camera.

If it does RAW over USB C at same time as ProRes to card... That would be an easy solution.

Yup, the literature states 13 stops but that will be in the perfect scenario. I know with the original Pocket, the most DR came at the base ISO of 800. Since this camera has dual ISO, I can only assume that you will have two options for best DR... 800 and 3200. 
This is why this camera won’t be for everyone. Even with the “better” sensor, we really shouldn’t expect great results higher than 3200 or lower than 800 or anything in between.
Since the camera isn’t due out for 6 months, I’d almost recommend that people who’ve never used a BM camera to pick up a used Pocket I on eBay to try it out. They’ve already come down in price since yesterday. Even with the better specs, a lot of the quirks will be similar.
 

To update a previous comment where I mentioned waveform. I had thought I read it on BH but apparently I read it in the Cinema5D article. There is no mention of it having waveform monitoring on the BH site and in the pictures it doesn’t show waveform as an option in the monitor menu, so unless Cinema5D is privy to information that we are not, then there is no reason to assume the Pocket II will have internal waveform monitoring.
With that being said, it does have false color and in my experience false color can be more useful for quick, on the fly, exposure adjustments. Ymmv.
