Caught this one recently. The story has been done plenty of time before, but it's a great effort with minimal budget/crew. 5D3 h.264 in cinestyle, going from the comments/bts.

To fly maybe not, that would be a really big drone  but to install on gimbal, no problem, here is BMMSC with a 3kg + lens on a gimbal.

I can see Panasonic giving it the ole college try with the gh5s in light of recent events.

This is a portrait I took with the Voigtlander 17.5mm and GH4 a couple of years ago. With all these cool M43 cameras out/on the horizon I wish I'd kept the Voigty set now. . . and added the 10.5.

Yes. 4k clog mjpeg. I went through a check list for each cam to make sure each setting was as it should be, double checked right before recording.
Fuzzy, Did you check out the link to the cml thread? Or the tessive filter? If it was as simple as changing your shutter why would world class Dp's be discussing this topic?  Why would the tessive filter exist? But I do agree with you about not always needing to adhere to a 180 degree shutter.  Love the look and feel of the clips you posted fairly recently by the way!

Yes it does.  So does the 1dc.
To give a better idea of the distance and speed the pendelum travels, the length of the pendelum is roughly 6ft, and the outside black lines 6ft apart. So for most of the clips, the pendelum is only moving about 3ft. (1.5 ft on each side of the center) Also consider it basically comes to a stop at the peak of it's arc.
In other words, natural human movements, like walking at a casual pace, picking up a coffee or an actor turning their head quite easily have the potential to be effected.   Maybe subconsciously people notice this. Or not ?

This looks great, I can’t wait to watch it!
I’m going to make another post about older cameras and how they’re still viable today so I won’t step on this post’s toes anymore. Hopefully people will link to some samples like this.
@sanveer sorry for the off topic.

I have recently got for my old Pocket a good power solution. It works more than 5 hours with this power bank powered by 5x hi quality 18650 batteries. You can also put it in a cell phone tripod mount to attach it to the camera. You need to get a LEMO connector to power a new BMPCC4K.

This thread is called Final Cut ProRes Raw. The actual wb value must be saved in the file. How we know? First, Atomos CEO Jeremy Young says so:
    Then there is this clip
You don't have to start playback, just watch that stupid lamp in this posterframe. This is probably with the exposure, ISO and WB the filmmaker intended. It's what you'd also get  with ACR or Resolves CR, a serving suggestion based on the metadata of the file. That it looks like this here is an indication that the metadata are there and that they are read by FCP.
    BUT:
FCP doesn't display them, nowhere. This weakness is just the tip of the iceberg. If it comes to serious color work, FCP just isn't the right tool. God is in the detail, they say, and I have found too many flaws compared to Resolve.
This doesn't necessarily mean that PRR isn't interesting. If Resolve adopts it, I could edit RAW in FCP.

Anticompetitive? Haha, now I've read it all. Give people more than what they expect for a steal of a price and some will still complain. Get a grip. Sell the dongle on ebay or buy another 'more competitive' camera for just over a grand that does internal 4k 12bit RAW and 10 Bit ProRes at 60p etc.
The only thing ant competitive about BM is that they have just blown the competition out of the water.
Argh, that's why I try to avoid forums like this. People always whinging!

Good grief guys! Are people really complaining that they would like to have a cheaper option of the camera without resolve? As if the feature set v price is not good enough!!!???
Get a grip all,  how many cameras come with any editing software at all let alone the industry standard colour grading suite!

This camera is what it is. For the price, it's Amazing. If you can't make it work for you that's your issue, not the BMPCC4K's.

Honestly Idk. But I do know that Panasonic said it is possible. So if there is demand they might well enable it in a firmware update.
To my mind this would make the GH5S the best all rounder.

These bloggers have zero journalist skill, they keep asking 10 times the same question, if you are not the first on a news, take your time and try to ask different question or even if you can't record from the camera you have a big 5 inch display that you can zoom in. Take that fucking camera and comment at least what you are seeing. Take for example rolling shutter, I mean it is so easy to pan right left and have at leat an impression about rolling shutter, but until now zero. I don't know if he is an actor or what, it is as if he is chocking, when asking the price at least 3 times, as if the whole world didn't know it two days before.

The 1.7 crop factor from a 6000x4000 sensor means that at best case their sampling a 3530x1985 area and scaling it up to 3840 x 2160, and given the aliasing performance I think they do use all this area.
I actually don't think there is a lot of aliasing or moire, probably just the typical from 1:1 sampling with a weak antialiasing filter. And I also don't think that is a problem during normal shooting. The Fuji X-T2 has more aliasing artifacts than M50 for example but nobody complains about it.
The softness is typical for Canon and I actually prefer that from a digitally sharpened footage.
My only concern for this camera other than the crop factor is the jello. I might be more sensitive to it than others but 4K from this camera should be used only with a rock solid tripod.
Here is a tripod that is not rock solid:
