hijodeibn got a reaction from webrunner5 in Canon XC10 4K camcorder
Probably mat33 got one of the good ones, I am sure the quality was not standard for all the cameras, and a good unit could be a dream, but I agree you have to show us some of your work to see what are your results….

hijodeibn got a reaction from Shield3 in Trump is POTUS now what?
Is there a chance president Trump could only allow to enter the country cameras with internal 10-bit 422 codec?

G7 all the way, the overheating issue and horribly skin tone of sony cameras is a strong reason to go with Panasonic, it is really an easy choice...

XC10/15 image quality was my biggest disappointment in 2016, I was looking for something to go gun and run and the camera looks like a dream in paper…..but just in paper, I think all XC10 owners here already sell their cameras and moved to something else, in my case I finally went C100 route, and very happy for now!!!

hijodeibn got a reaction from Kisaha in Best Canon APSC camera in low light situations
check Canon C100 and C300, they are the cine line with an APSC sensor, they record in 4k downscaling to 1080p, today a C100 mk1 cost less than a 5D mrk IV, the image is so cinematic and the low light is fantastic, not to mention the skintones which are the best by far from any camera in the same price range. By the way, you also have Canon C-log, which is a plus.

hijodeibn got a reaction from webrunner5 in Canon XC10 hardcoded noise reduction issue
There is a small difference, a C100 with an atomos is even better than a C300 (without atomos), and with prores 422 you can push further in davinci, and what I like about this camera is that it is so cinematic, if It has 4K will be my dream camera (of course keeping this price, $12,000 for a 4K C300 mKII is impossible for my wallet). BTW, the original without DPAF sold out in two days, so a lot of people took advantage of this price cut, I went for the DPAF because of I am also planing to use it with a steadicam, and I can now forget about the focus, less work, much better!

hijodeibn got a reaction from webrunner5 in Canon XC10 hardcoded noise reduction issue
I finally picked up the C100, the one with dual pixel, BH just lowered the price to $2,300, an even lower price than I was seeing for a second hand in ebay, I will add it an atomos ninja star and I will be ready to gun&run, the good thing is that this model will depreciate really low during the next two years, much less than any other camera so I will get at least 2/3 of the camera value if I decided to sell it next year…..I wish canon fixed the issue in the XC line with the next XC20, if that happens I will probably switch to it.

Well, Pvandall just reported his new XC15 has ghosting too, and I put my trust in any EOSHD forum member before any Canon representative, it has been weeks since other forum members reported the issue and no word from Canon….
Probably now I will have to wait for the gh5 too, but I really wanted a Canon, the skintones are the best for me, dam it!!!!

hijodeibn got a reaction from kidzrevil in Canon XC10 hardcoded noise reduction issue
Agree, this is quality control, and since looks like some cameras didn´t have the issue, most probably is related to hardware than firmware, which make very dangerous to buy any of this cameras, really sad, I was saving to go for the XC15 thinking it was free of ghosting, now I will have to go another route, and the problem is that I like Canon look more than any other camera in the market…..

So sad about what is going on in Syria, and certainly like in the cold war the demon is always Russia, glad to hear there are REAL Syrians here who are telling the truth about what is really going on there....

hijodeibn got a reaction from kidzrevil in Canon XC10 4K camcorder
This is becoming an horror movie, every week a new issue arise, I hope this only impact the XC10 and is already corrected in the XC15 like the ghosting.

hijodeibn got a reaction from tomsemiterrific in Canon XC10 4K camcorder
OMG, the XC15 is clean, the ghosting issue is probably inherent to the XC10 only, time to sell your XC10 and upgrade!!!
-
hijodeibn got a reaction from kidzrevil in Canon XC10 4K camcorder
Two guys said in the other topic related to ghosting they are not having the issue, I think first an example from them is imperative, if they are not having the issue then we are in serious problem, since it is a problem related to camera building instead of firmware update.

hijodeibn got a reaction from Grimor in GH5 10-bit 4:2:2 internal?
I have been waiting for the GH5 for months, and there is no way I will get a M43 for $2,500, I'll pick up a Sony A6300, a GX85 or a canon XC10, the price should stay around $1,500 or going other route, and I am sure many will do the same

Finally we have 10-bit 4:2:2 internally, this is a huge step, since others will stat to do the same, the age of 8-crapy-bit is over!!!!!!

Not at all, for a few bucks more I can buy a Red Raven, I can`t believe somebody will pay US7,500 for this camera, there are so many better options with better prices out there…..
