@Attila Bakos Very cool, I was on a 3770k; I switched to Ryzen last year for this very purpose. Now I'd like to swap out to one of the newest Ryzens, but they are sold out everywhere. I'm doing something atm wherein I throw enormous amounts of data in, and the renders can easily go upwards of an hour at 100% cpu. My data files are usually around 1Mb per each; these are going upwards of 50Mb atm
@zerocool22 CST is a versatile tool that allows whitepaper transforms between any two spaces. These are the manufacturer specified color spaces. Emotive is a measured conversion between two cameras (or profiles etc), such that it factors in sensor response to a light source and internal camera processing (of WB, profile, etc). Emotive has simulations of sensor LogC solely using Resolve color tools (sans CST) called Matrix. Both the interpolated conversions (with Tetrahedral interpolation enabled) and the Matrix LogC simulations are non-destructive, while Arri's Rec709 (that can be added to Matrix LogC) is partly destructive (of extreme Led gamut). CST can be either destructive or non-destructive, depending on the transform specified and relevant gamut.

Sure, but your country actually DID SOMETHING at the start of the outbreak, basically nipping it in the bud. By the third week of April 2020, the number of daily new cases in New Zealand was in the single digits.
So hats off to the good people of New Zealand, whether it was government imposed restrictions at the outset, or just vigilance and diligence by the common people, or whether they have discovered that a passion for beer and rugby makes a perfect vaccine.

But there are only a handfull watchable netflix original films. Only "the irishman" and "the devil all the time" come to mind. So if we become reliable to only netflix original content we might be in trouble. Hbo for instance isnt even available over here in Belgium. Most netflix content looks like easy consumable content for netflix and chill and you forget what you watched after a day.

    - I always shoot in VLOG, when color grading are you using a LUT or doing manual primaries correction? I've stopped using LUTS for primaries and get much better results simply grading by hand. In DR I create 3 nodes (primaries, curves, false color), I use the primaries node to set the Lift, Gamma, and Gain, I set Saturation to 90%, and I set Contrast to 1.17. I then fine tune the image in the curves node and check skin exposure using a false color LUT in the false color node.  I've attached a screen shot from a recent fashion show, showing before and after.  I have never had a BM so I don't know if the attached image has more grain than a BM in the same situation so I will let you be the judge of that.
What really impressed me about the attached image is that I was able to recover the white balance. Someone turned on a very warm spotlight right as the show started and I did not have time to adjust the WB (the joys of shooting fashion shows).
-For IS, with the Sigma adapter attached for some reason most of the modes get disabled for me and it doesn't seem to give me the option to turn off body IS. My Canon EF 24mm has lens IS and I haven't tested which is better, so I've just left everything at their defaults and it seems to all work itself out.
-For S&Q I never use it, I shoot everything in 4K and mostly at 60FPS, I feel like all of the modes in the S&Q options are going to require that I deliver at 1080P so I haven't experimented with the modes.
-I don't use AF at all, since I can't use continuous AF with the adapter I just use hybrid AF.....so half press the shutter to get focus then MF from there.
-Depending on the lens the magnifier will automatically come on when you set the dial to MF and start turning the focus ring as long as you are not already recording. In the menus you can set the center button of the focus selector dial to magnify when in MF so that's how I have mine set. Some of my lenses like the Canon 24mm-105mm don't automatically magnify when I turn the focus ring but the EF Sigma 50mm does as long as the selector is in MF.

Looks like a higher framerate. 30fps. The motion looks off. But def interested in figuring out why it looks so bad. It doesnt look natural it looks like theatre lighting, some shots have good contrast ratio but still looks cheap. The lenses are prolly too sharp. Some bad framing as well, and digital fx from the 80's.

@Andrew Reid could you do a side by side video with the r5 and you s1h? I didnt found any comparison videos between these 2. I wonder how much difference of DR there is in real life and how bad the AF is on the S1h in comparison and stabilization. But also how smooth do the files edit? Does the s1h have an edit codec advantage? Thanks!

Nope, but as above, for photography AF, I doubt there would be much in it though the S5 is probably a little slower, but as accurate as CDAF tends to work that way.
My own experience of the S5 is just that, it's not lightning fast, but it is accurate. Sports or any fast moving subjects is not really any CDAF lenses forte.
Video AF is another matter and the Sony will slay the Panasonic, roast it and eat it for lunch. Every time.
I'm running tests right now between the 2 lenses I have and that is the Pan kit lens and it's 'OK' and the Sigma 56mm f1.4 and that one is so far terrible.
In fact, using myself as a subject (as no one else is home), 5 times out of 5 attempts, it remains locked on the background and will not pick me up in any mode or at any distance. Not once.
Switching to the Pan kit lens in the same lighting and the same settings, it will, but not instantaneously.
I had more success yesterday (with the Sigma) when I could lock on the subject before pressing the record button, but it still wasn't great.
Summary so far is that with native it's OK, with anything else, even from within the L Mount Alliance, it's iffy and I imagine with an adaptor and a Canon lens, ha ha ha ha good luck with that.
I have the Pan 85mm f1.8 arriving shortly so looking forward to seeing if that is a bit more tuned for video AF...
New firmware may make a difference. I am downloading that one as I type. They do sometimes sneak something in there rather than admit there is any kind of issue and there is supposed to be something in that regard for shooting log, but we'll see...

Canon EF lenses on an MC-21 Adapter on Panasonic S-series cameras only provide AF-S. There is NO AF-C available using EF lenses on the MC-21, neither when shooting video nor when shooting stills. Maybe if / when metabones comes out with an EF-L mount adapter there will be AF-C available on Panasonic S-series cameras.
I only have one EF lens and that is the 16-35 f/4 and it seems to work fine when using AF-S (haven't tried it with the new Ver 1.6 firmware though). Even when shooting video in V-LOG at 24fps (where the Panasonic S1 struggles the most) the AF-S is fine. However, I normally shoot large, stationary objects, since I shoot real estate / architecture / travel. Houses and mountains don't move too quickly 🙂
As a side note, most Canon and Sigma EF-S glass will automatically set the camera to crop mode, and you can't change back to FF mode. I don't have any EF-S glass but I heard that some lenses might not, such as the Tamron 12-24 will let you shoot in FF mode. Apparently at around 16mm that Tamron 12-24mm lens will cover the full area of the FF sensor.
Hearsay: I've read on other forums from people who own both an a7 III and an S1-series of cameras that EF glass performs a lot better on their Sony cameras than on their panasonic cameras. I've actually heard people say that their EF glass performs better on their Sony a7 III than on their Canon 5D III. Again, just hearsay, so don't quote me on this.
Bottom line: as @MrSMW noted above, If AF is really important to you using Canon EF lenses, then go with the Sony.
Just one last bit of food for thought though...
While I realize and can see your reasoning for not wanting to buy L Mount glass, the Panasonic lenses are truly capable video lenses. Each lens varies, but most of them offer minimal focus breathing, are parfocal, have the ability to set the focus ring to linear, and allow you to customize the focus throw from about 90-degrees to around 270-degrees (as best as I can remember). They also have beautiful rendering, minimal flare, minimal ghosting, minimal CA, minimal LOCA. They were designed for hybrid shooters, while I think most Canon EF glass was designed for photographers.

Meh, Forza 500 fan noise is absolutely negligible, at least on my unit. I use it on talking heads and interviews quite close to the mic day in and day out, I've never had a problem with it at all.
Most rooms are going to have a lot more ambient noise anyway, in real world use I'd honestly be shocked if anyone could truly have a complaint.

Looks great! I think your color is spot on. I actually disagree on rigging expenses--particularly if you use a tripod or gimbal. I don't rig my M4 at all, and my 2nd hand iphone monitor was free. 3rd party NPF batteries are very cheap. You can add simple side handles for next to nothing as well. You can position an iphone above the handle and still have easy access to all controls as well. CFast is very expensive, that's my only complaint in terms of accessory cost. I have a single 32GB CFast card, and I'll probably get another before doing a long shoot. It would be nice if they had an SD slot as well, even if it could only do H265, or 4k60.
Do you have HDMI set to 1080p or 720p? 1080p is of course sharper, but has very bad latency I found.

So I’ve bought the Z CAM-S6, hoping it would be useful for some upcoming projects. However, I planned to sell it after finishing those projects, unless I find myself in love with this camera.
Anyway, I took the camera with some friends and shot a little video. We didn’t plan beforehand because this was meant to be more of a feeling out process and a camera test. I’ve tried very hard to make it a more coherent story, though I must admit it is still very confusing.
    1. Modular design is fantastic because you can build it up the way you wanted, however the cost adds up very quickly.
    2. Very well built, but the metal body makes it a little bit heavy, despite the size.
    3. A lot of codec and resolution options. It’s always nice to have internal ProRes recording and H265 is very efficient indeed.
    4. Image Quality is detailed and organic, and you can always shoot in 6K.
    5. Battery life is quite good, especially if you use a bigger battery.
    6. Control needs time to get used to, and it’s still slower than a proper video camera like the C200 and FS5.
    7. CFast 2.0 Card is VERY EXPENSIVE. This forces me to use H265, which sometimes requires transcoding.
    8. AF is just as bad as, if not worse than, EVA1. Normally, this won’t be an issue but…
    9. The HDMI Output is very soft, for some reason. Maybe this is due to user error. The image is so soft that even using a 6 inch monitor, it is still hard to judge focus sometimes. This is my biggest problem by far.
    10. Playback is in LOW resolution. Clients may not like feel confident about the footage you just captured.
The whole video is shot in 6K 2.4:1 mode, 23.976 FPS ,with Z-Log2 and in H265. All is shot handheld. I’ve mainly used the Sigma 18-35 1.8 and for one shot the Canon 85 1.4.
    Thank you.
