  1. @Josue Nunez Love the images you created with your beautiful Sony F3 camera! I would love more people to post their stuff. I´ve done my Lumix 8bit share a little bit, 3 short videos in three months, which I posted here. So I am forgiven for not having produced any footage with my F3 yet. But you other F3 owners, you are not exused, so you better start posting. 🙂
  2. Ursa mini broadcast Mark 2 is a very interesting camera as well. The Pocket 6K in a Ursa mini pro body, with exchangeable mounts, such as b4 for the tasty broadcast zooms for 2/3inch sensors, EF and PL. UMP Pro 4.6 are getting into 2.5K USD region. Regarding image quality- I think a GH5 is pretty much all one needs for spectacular images and some love to develop passion, skills and art for the moving image. Just saying, because people are dissing the mft image, when it is indeed pretty spectacular. Getting off topic. Well..:)
  3. Hefty price for that piece of tech. What I like about my GX85 is the price and the ergo and my S16 Angie 75mm F2.2 lens, which covers mft evortlessly and even gives S35 a run with some tasteful vignetting. What I dislike about smartphones is the infos about specs. I have to invest too much time to find out about bitrate, quality of codec, bit depth. Most of the time I won´t find any reliable info. With the Xperia I gave up after 5min. Also, 1inch sensor, but only using 12MP of the 20MP. Good thing though, saves me a lot of GAS driven dreams.: 🙂
  4. Love the colour palette. Most of the people make it look to videoish like crayon. Yours looks like a slick Acrylic painting. Love it. Also love the Oilpaint look. Now you guys, please don´t make fun how I put it into words. Or how the marketing youngsters and influmonsters say, wording. Brrr, what a yiksey word. Anyway, thank you for sharing and showing off some gret colours! @tupp Yesterday and tonight I bid on a second Eos M but I didn´t win the auctions. So I might have to buy the additonal adapters and second and third batteries separately for much more money. I still don´t have an adapter for my little beast. 🙂
  5. So how do you approach sound? I imagine that to be the hardest thing to do. @MrSMW Would love to see your rigs for the S1H and the S5!
  6. @aaa123jc and it is one of the cameras besides the F3 and the BMMCC which has a fascination on me. I own them three but have only used the Bmmcc. But the latter one at least for a legit 5min narrative piece. Great image, even better when lit. I have posted a bit of my stuff lately. So always eager to see footage from the EOS M and the these classic digim indy cine treasures! Keep up coming, friends!
  7. I tend to agree more and more with Dave @webrunner5 that smartphones have taken over completely as money making video content machines. Tiktok and the likes are hungry for content with sufficient image quality. Content is queen and sufficient image quality is her best friend and convinience her mate. Smartphones deliver all that. Would be interesting to compare revenue from Hollywood with the ones from Youtube and influencers.
  8. Darn, one should write a guide with the knowledged written in your posts @kye @Llaasseerr @hyalinejim. Simpler to dig through for people like me. 🙂
  9. That beauty also comes in a flavour of MFT mount for C-mount and Focal reducers in action. @mkabi So this is indeed a great image taker for people who are not in want for 50p. Dunno if Rawlite has a Oplf or IRcut filter for it. If so, even better.
  10. Thanks alot! @projectwoofer 🙂 Recently I bought a LX15 for very cheap. I hoped that the LX15 would be a super compact alternative to the GX85 for video on the road. Videowise it kicks the LX15 in the tush. Codec, color response, dynamic range it is far superiour on the GX85. The 20MP one inch sensor in the LX15 and RX100 was said to be almost on par with the m43 sensor in the GH4, G7 and GX85. But LX15 quality in video is not close to the GX85. I have forgotten about the back wheel after a while. The camera is still a joy to use. Swivel screen is also more pleasant to use compared to the much more expensive Lumix S1. So indeed, it is a gem, as you and all the other fans of this little powerhouse are stating. I wish it had an option for zero noise reduction though and a 100mbit codec for HD. The latter one being my ever occuring wish for these Panny 8bit machines.
  11. @Josue Nunez Looking great! There is a certain mojo to this image! The nice edit, grade and framing in your piece helps to appreciate the image from this camera, of course.:) What lens did you use? My mini SDI to SDI cable ripped so I got a good exuse not to use this camera, since I need that tasty external 10bit.:)
  12. @Emanuel Well, actually I shot and edited it around March 2019. The talent in front of the camera, like I mentioned:) is the artist and songwriter herself who did this song and was one part of a music duo. The character following her is a friend of us. Yeah, I had the editing almost nailed within less than a day back then. But I put it away and waited until now to finish it to my liking. So I sat dowin yesterday to straighten out a short part of the piece which I was not satisfied with. I also did the grading yesterday as well. @webrunner5 I hope that´s a good thing, Don. 🙂
  13. I have an isco 16 2x, which I am not using. And I am planning to rig my iscomorphot 8 1.5x. The Zeiss Ikon would have been really something.:)
  14. Goodfellas, hehe, you´re sure you named us right? @Emanuel
  15. Rereading the article by Andrew in a second, which started one of my favorite threads and follow ups. This thread deserves to be pinned again I think! I will be having a steamy cup of coffee and some delicous German cake with it while reading! Just as suggested by Andrew four years ago. See you later.:)
  16. Here is a music video I did with my beautiful GX85. It now has dethroned my GF1 for photography pleasure, loosended my bonds with my eternally appreciated and now disfunct G6. GX85 earned no1 place in my heart. It was a bit of a way to go for this cam. It has pleased me with nice footage, great personal short cine verité extravaganza, BCam as last resort.. But only until now it has reached my heart completely. It is a true treasure. The road to love was slippery by the slipperyness of the camerabody, the soon to become disfunct back wheel and the mediocore EVF. But still, it is almost as pretty as the GX7 or my GF1 and it feels good in the hand and now even better in the heart. So enough talking, time to let this camera speak. Used Fujinon 12mm in 16 to 9 and ind 1:1 4K photo mode, Tokina 25-50 in the mix. Shot in colour and graded with love in BW. 🙂
  17. We could do a GX85 challenge, including GH2, GH1, GH3, G7 and GH4 aaaand the LX15. The Seven Sisters 8bit Challenge! Let´s do it 🙂
  18. Anyway, black and white lovers. Here is a musicvideo I did. Again in cinema verité style. It can be exhausting to create all spontaneously, with the flow of conciousness. But it can be big fun as well. Talent in front of the camera is the awesome artist and songwriter herself. Her shadow following is a kind and kewl artist as well. Shot in 90min. Edit was done the next day. BUT, I completed some itsy bitsy 20seconds and final grade only now, two years later. Crazy how long some things take which started off super high energy and fast as lightning up to 90% of the final result! The last 10% can be a sucker. So here is the final result, turn up the volume and enjoy! 🙂
  19. Awesome hack with the TC! A 100mbit data rate in HD would be awesome. I really think the 100mbit 4K codec is not as strong as the one from the GX85. The 8bit HD 100mbit codec on the GH4 or GH5 is pretty beefy for what it is. So if you are interested in checking your awesome hack in that regard.. 🙂 I don´t have the Lumix app for doing the hack as I dont do the googlappstore. What combo is the TC and magnetic adapter, what specific items? Great shots btw, as always. I should do something like that instead of goofy experimental sketches.:)
  20. Still no footage from my F3. So it has to be coming from others.:) Love the creamyness and resolution of it. @Josue Nunez would you mind posting some clips in motion if you are allowed to? That would be awesome!
  21. Holy crap, don´t scare me! @webrunner5 I just discoverd my all time favorite colour palette on the EOS M, which I just posted. Now you come up with even cooler news. I have not been a great fan of the colours from the videos on youtube so far. Only the one I discovered gave me wowsers. Until then the videos always had postpro with very crayon and videoish results. Technically nice but not painterly with thick oils. Now let me check that video with a coffee and some cake. 🙂
  22. I was hoping it was so I could figure if I would dare to ask you if it was still for sale? 🙂
  23. That would be awesome! @BTM_Pix Quiet a few people "on youtube" are enjoying your hack for the GX85. The colour form that cam is still my favorite Lumix colour palette. The LX15 does definately not provide great colour ooc in natural profile though. So I just tested Vivid profile with saturation +3 and contrast +2 to give skintones some magic in the Jpegs and in video. Colour feels totally different and a bit brittle in grading compared to my GX85. I am not sure if it lacks in the grading department compared to the GX or if it just has a different response and responsitivity. A 100mbit or 200mbit HD codec on that little cam would make a potential champion of hearts! The camera body is of course slippery as ice cream but it´s solidly built. I put a flash rail thingsy underneath it to have some grip. Also 4K sensor readout seems solid as I can pull off shots in panning and handheld despite lack of IBIS in 4K. For video the lens works awesome wide open. Display is pretty sharp for focussing. Just beware the slippyness and give it some grip or tape. Otherwise, awesome little cam for that super little money. I will letcha know later how much I paid. Like I said two for the price of half a used camera. So keep guessing. 🙂
  24. Still got a "great" VariND that turned my FD 35mm F2 into a focus pulling nightmare due to its glowyness. @kye Anyway, I got a challenger now, if a fixed lens Super 16 4K machine counts. I think it does. If a LX100 would qualify I think a LX15 should just as well. So here it goes, I got not only one of them but two for the used price of half a camera. Now take a guess 🙂 Here is some fun clip I did with it. Now, if a hack would give me 100mbit HD with it, then we would be talking! 28mm 1.4 eq lens! Which turns into 36mm eq in 4K crop.:)
  25. Cannot wait to see it! Some crazy Pete in action! 🙂 @Matt Kieley I found my all time EOS M RAW footage when it comes to colour. Makes Berlin look like before all the greedy hipster and gated community freaks fxxed up the community and heart and soul of the city. I know it sounds kinda harsh but girls n boys, they really bulldozered many, many landmarks of Berlin to build cement monoliths for rich, tastless fxxers from all over the world. Nothing against wealthy people, just against the powerful axxxholes among them who fxxxk up everything with their money. Anyway, here is the beautiful EOS M in its most impressive colour glory, imho. Btw, my C-mount to Eos M-mount didnt arrive but I got the full refund. Very nice of the seller. Anyway, I a slouch when it comes to rig up cameras.:/
