I have been involved in a couple of stupid ass religious bullshit wars, and one all about the money, that I don't need to see anymore horseshit, ergo people dying, happening in my lifetime. People tend to die in those for, no we are right, no you are wrong stuff, oh and it is all in the name of "our" God, How f-ing convenient!.
Nobody really knows who is right or wrong. We may find that out when we die, but then I doubt even then. I tend to think the vast majority of religion is just a way to control humanity. No God would let shit happen that I have seen and done in the name of God and country!! And that continues to this day, and will continue, because like I have said, there is some EVIL ass people in this world, has been, and will be..
I go by the old saying ,treat others like You would like to be treated. That is all the damn "religion" you ever need.
But religions are are part of life all around the world, nothing wrong with videos that show Church's, crosses, people participating,. It is reality. Just don't make it a way to convert people to what you believe is all I am asking. I am not too big on any of it anymore.

The Bible doesn't teach anything by itself. Jesus said 'don't worship me, worship God' (Revelation 22:9). Yet many worship him anyways (same thing for Buddha). The original concept of God has been equally distorted for politics and control. God wasn't meant to be a 'vengeful/emotional' anthropomorphic being. Metaphors were used to try to describe difficult concepts. However they've been misinterpreted to fit the model of a patriarchal power structure. Jesus wasn't The son of God- he was A son of God, as we are all children of God. And in essence, we are all God co-creating reality together- that's what they really meant. This concept isn't even religious- it's obvious by itself, ipso facto. Jesus was killed to maintain a political power structure. And when I say Jesus, I mean all the different equivalent forms too which existed long before Jesus, for example Horus. Again, not focusing on the person, only the ideas, which are what's really important. People get distracted fighting over the source(s) and forget the truth in what was said (which everyone pretty much agrees with).
The information recorded in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament) and New Testament is meant to help people. When people focus on 'The Bible' and who said it as Primary Importance, therein lies a fundamental misunderstanding of the original purpose of The Bible and similar religious documents. If everyone simply focused on the original intention of the scriptures for the big 3 religions, and not the books themselves, the people who spoke, and the associated religions and political systems, then people from all 3 religions would have a chance at consensus and agreement (actually all religions and atheists too). If you truly want to follow Jesus' teachings, why wouldn't you want to help unite everyone on Earth, and do whatever it takes to do so?
The fire metaphor is a good one- let's add to it. You can yell fire in a certain way that only 1/4 the people will understand, and 3/4 of the rest of the people will die. You have the option to yell fire where all the people can be saved, yet it will require a small sacrifice in your personal political group, possibly against your ego, possibly with financial loss. How will you yell fire?

For me - C100 mkii shutter angle priority is a lovely little gift from Canon!

As far as I'm aware it's only the Canon STMs that support face recognition. I have the 17-55 2.8 (which I'm assuming is the one you mean above) and the AF works great (if a little noisy) and the IS is a treat - but no face AF. I also have both the 18-135 and 55-250 STMs and they work perfectly and near-silently. They're reasonable lenses optically, with all the usual provisos, if a little bland; but if you're looking for something to throw on the camera and forget about while it does the work for you they're hard to gainsay. Obviously not the fastest glass out there, but the C100's (well the mk ii anyway, I haven't used the mk i) low-light performance means that upping your ISO a couple of clicks is a relatively pain-free experience in all but the lowest-light situations.

But what do I know - the only thing we open carry in Hove is our bags of hot, steaming chips (fries) from the chippy!

Hi @hijodeibn - DPAF and IS work great on the 17-55 2.8 but the noise is sufficient to register with the onboard microphones (both the scratch one and the handle ones - I haven't tried it yet with a camera-mounted shotgun) - in fact even the iris changes would be too loud, I think, for critical work. I don't have the 18-55 STM, just the 18-135 and the 55-250. DPAF may be slightly faster on these lenses (and is noticeably excellent on the longer zoom) and face recognition is also very good. They are near-silent in operation. In summation, if image quality/low-light was my priority and I was recording dual system or MOS I would opt for the 17-55 2.8 every time; otherwise it would be the STMs.

If you're so familiar with the world outside YouTube you'd be aware that OBL was a highly educated Saudi civil engineer and that the majority of the actual hijackers were also Saudi graduates. You'd also be aware that the much-vaunted defence infrastructure was, quite rightly, not ranged against the possibility that airliners making internal flights would be converted to use as missiles. As they say - to be successful the security services have to get it right every time, the terrorists only have to get it right once.

Actually the C100ii, if you lose the top handle, just looks like an oversized SLR - no extra rigging required. I figure - given that most thieves are pretty stupid - that bad guys would just figure you couldn't afford a new, small, sexy camera and leave you alone. Of course if you need decent sound that's a different matter, but for a lot of the stuff you shoot, where you're putting a music track wholly or partially over the location sound it would be aces. And I know your work, so I know you'd love the image!

Had a look around Google and it could be a fungus or mould. I guess it's perfectly possible that there's something in the air at that location that hasn't been there other times you've visited.

I'm using eoshd's profile lately whenever I'm using a sony but I made an exception in this case because I was afraid it could lead to unforeseen issues with the blacklight. Shot with a 50mm lensbaby which turned out to be a great combo to add to the blacklight setup. Shot in 6 hours, ultra-low budget music video. It's a very simple concept but I hope you'll have a good time watching in it. Shot in Dominican Republic.

I have a smaller version of the Viltrox (just bought it when they were really rare, a couple of years ago or a bit more), and even though there isn't any CRI measurement on the box, the quality of light is very good and rendered useless all my previous cheap LEDs, collecting dust on some drawer or closet.
Cheap LED tech has gone quite far. Chinese manufacturers are doing great stuff for all of us, and they are innovative too, not like 15 years ago that only copying things. Well done China!

Without the handle it looks and handles like an extremely large SLR (an extremely large SLR on which all the video-centric controls are easily to hand with it up to your eye, and are nearly 100% assignable - for instance button 7 on the handgrip: when I'm using an AF lens I have it set to AF lock, when using a MF lens it's set to magnify/B/W and peaking). It is a joy to use.

Thanks guys. I have to say that even at this early stage (ie, before I've learnt to fully exploit it) the image out of this camera is more pleasing to me than anything else I've shot with so far - in fact it was the camera I really wanted right from the get-go (well the Mk i actually, as this wasn't out when I first got the bug). I honestly don't know what I'd do with 4K - for me the HD image from a good sensor has exactly the right resolution to give the opportunity to craft an organic end result.
