Seriously just give it to a cinematographer to SHOOT THINGS WITH IT. For the love of god I've seen some incredible stuff from the Kine 4K after it came out. It's a goddamn camera, show us some footage.

I want one of these cameras, but I can't commit to it until I see at least one frame of skin tone!

Its shape reminds me of a xenomorph's head, but not in a good way.
I'm sure this will be a great camera to work with, shoot great images, do the job in many ways, etc, but as with all Canon cameras, the pricing and specs vs. that of its competitors just seem very underwhelming. If I had that sort of money ready to spend, I would choose an Amira

We've all seen this old footage. There is more to am image than the senor alone.  We need to see footage from the Terra, not the Kinemax 6k.

Are there somebody who wait for Kinefinity Terra 5K real world capabilities more than GH5?

Holy crap. That's horrific and a huge mistake from Canon. The rolling shutter on the A6300 is TERRIBLE. The fact that this is worse blows my mind.

Just look at the prices for an adapter to control aperture for Canon EF vs Nikon F, heaps more!
In fact for Sony FZ mount it is prohibitively expensive on a budget. For RED One MX and Samsung NX it is nonexistent. 
But for all it is cheap and easy to use my Nikon F mount lenses on them.

I like that Nikon F mount lenses are more easy / cheaper to adapt than anything else.
 
Venus Imaging is bringing out a 17mm f4 TS for Nikon very soon.

Yeah people are the worst, listening to a full time pro that shoots all over the world 365 days a year, how dare they.
They definitely should ask the folks online that spend most their time online and haven't touched their camera in years. Their the once that know the specs. Their the once that have all the charts, numbers and statistics. All far more important than experience when giving advice or sharing an opinion.

When I had the FS700 I used a Speedbooster which made it close to full frame. That's one of the things I loved about that camera. I would love for Blackmagic to make an E Mount Ursa Mini, even though we all know it won't happen.

I noticed that the Video HDR feature on the 5D Mark iv seems like some scam. In regular mode it pushes Dynamic Range in video to that of a smartphone (basically Terrible). And then has an HDR setting to bring it average/ normal levels. From the various Videos and Frame grabs I saw (online), in regular mode video seems to be about 7-8 stops, and in HDR mode maybe 8-9 stops. 
I dunno if it's funny or ludicrous. 

The problem is that video people tied themselves into Canon based on the notion that Canon would start adding video features and make video centric DSLRs... Unfortuntly, there was zero evidence of this happening... So they kinda have themselves to blame.

Now this leaves  Sony is the only camera maker Gives FF 4K video with a versatile lens mount and hopefully their next iterations would have better video quality. 
As a video shooter, i Switched to Panasonic from Canon when GH2 realesed and never regretted.  My hope is that GH5 would have no crop factor in 4K mode.

I have no issue with someone saying the Nikon sensor is better... it is saying the Canon is awful and outdated that is laughable. If you can't get your shot with 12 stops, you are not a good photographer that understands light.

The em5ii has better image stabilization and is much more video focused, especially after the update. I'd consider it or the EM1. They recently had the EM1 for a 1 day only sell at $799. EM1 mkii is gonna be announced at Photokina so you should be able to get new EM1's cheap after Photokina. I would not consider the EM10ii. I'd probably get the EM1. Also, not sure about where you're at but there was a really good deal on the G7. You can get it, the 14-140, a free 25mm f1.7, and $100 off the 42.5mm f1.7. So for $1,297 you could get a zoom that gives you a lot of range and two fast primes. You can also get the G7 without the 14-140 for less money and you still get the free 25mm f1.7.

The Tokina is a completely different look than the Nikon which you might enjoy. If you find a good copy it has a much smoother focusing ring than the Nikon, even if it has a shorter throw. This was shot entirely with it on a D800.
 


Not many other options for that mount for Zooms. If it's in your budget the 24-105 is an option.

Nikon has Flat profile, which is amazing. 
They do not have C-LOG because they did not develop it in the first place and they did the Flat profile. 
My point was, Canon already has developed C-LOG. It is there, it exists, do you get that? So no reason not to put it in the 5D except market protection. 

Canon stinks. I can't wait for them to die like Kodak did, it will be well deserved. 
5 years we wait their camera to get nothing. They could have done 4k FF with the 300mbps codec of the X10 and CLOG and the 5DIV would have been an amazing camera for video and photo. Just 2 specs, that are ALREADY existing on canon products. 2 easy specs. Fuck that seriously, they take us for pigeons and they are right to do so. Because the thing is people will still buy their shit. 
 

Use only proven spec to ensure cameras work well is one thing. Cripple a 3500$ camera just to protect your 10k$ one is another.
Why not adding C-Log for example? Is that something that will put in danger the 5D reliability....?
