I shoot Zcam e2 most now. I also have GH5 and 5Diii that I used previous and still use occasionally.

Nice job! Skin tones are easy to get right on the E2 and although there may be some noise due to M43 sensor size, I don't feel like it's an issue or limiting my work at all.
I also consider getting one of the newer models when they come out, but I'm wondering how much that would really add to my production level. The low light is actually surprisingly good on E2, but I guess we always want better  .

I have my eye on their E2 F6 (the full frame 6K variant) so I've been following developments in their facebook group. Took some time to grade new footage from their original m43 E2 and I gotta say, it's pretty good. I had to denoise some shots and they didn't clean up as well as my EVA1 does -- probably because my EVA1's noise is finer and tight, not "clumpy". but still, based on one of their engineers saying that the F6 will be their best performing (in terms of noise) I've got my fingers firmly crossed that it will be the "vistavision" cinema camera I've been longing for... and only $5,000.
Here's that E2 footage I took a stab at grading. The last shot of the girl with the camera is my fav. Skin tones and highlight roll-off work for me.

I'd say it bloody well had better have improved since then! And very substantially so.

that's nearly 1200$. And for that you get an old sensor with very bad rolling shutter, 8bit only, 30p only and bitrates still stuck 100Mbps. That might have been interesting in 2016 when the A6300 was released, but in 2019 it's not.

I bet you Einstein hasn't just forced an EOS to F mount adapter on to one of his favourite lenses so badly that he had to spend 2 hours cutting it off !
Would Albert have used an EOS to F adapter though?

I think the only golden insurance rule is to make sure you only buy EF lenses as they can fit on everything !

The more I thought about that video I realised why he has a 100mm on. If you put something like a 70-200mm on you couldn't also have a 14mm on the same turret as it would be in the shot. Still pretty cool though, I like it.

I can understand that.  Only relatively recently was Resolve a colour grading tool you would round-trip to, which is a concept that took some getting used to, let alone knowing how to actually troubleshoot the process and get it to work properly.  Now Resolve has become something equally confusing - it does everything!  So on a journey from being difficult to understand because it was too technical, to now being something that is difficult to understand because if you're a FCPX or PP user it sounds like it's too good to be true!

Yeah, ultimately time will tell. But the small amount of issues I've seen them have so far they've dealt well (and quickly) with. Most "issues" however have been user error, not issues at all.

Same here, not missing Premiere or FCPX at all, v16 looks like a huge update.

@majoraxis 8k 4:2:0 has quarter resolution in the chroma channel, so it is 4k 4:4:4 with oversampled luma. That oversampling provides pseudo-12 bit, but only for luma channel. So it is 4k 4:4:4 10 bit with a nice oversampling on luma.
Similarly, you can get 4k 4:4:4 12 bit, but the chroma channel will only have 10 bits worth of information at the maximum, while luma would retain a bit more information.

The camera didn't even have a menu!
I am sure it will much better on release, but it seems more like a prosumer experiment and it may get lost between the prosumer grey area, not really an amateur's full auto futuristic dream nor a professional's full metal jacket.
