Hey Jase, I'm in the same situation as you.  Love the GX80 and it goes everywhere with me and the 15/1.7 mounted.  Prefer the tilt screen too.  I'm doing a small documentary with a lot of kids in educational settings.  The client loves the fact that I just disappear and the kids forget that I'm there.  I would love the extra slow motion and Tele-converter features of the GH5, but the tradeoffs in size, extra battery type, etc. are a pain.
For sound I've been relying on a lav + small Tascam DR-10 recorder, but I've just received my instamic pro which is great and should make it so easy to quickly clip to someone when needed and record excellent audio without wires, especially kids.  There is a unofficial facebook group about the instamic.  I haven't had a chance to really test the mic yet, but when I'm on Easter Holiday this weekend, I'll clip it to my kids and see what I can put together.

The NX1 beats every other body at hijacking threads, but joking aside, there were tests showing that the NX1 can't write the fastest UHS-II cards at more than 60MB/s, so it's not ideal for RAW recording.

Afaik the performance of the IBIS doesnt really change on the GX80 in later firmware updates, yet the sound of it running does.
The Ex Tele Converter only knows one option when you are in FHD (2.4x) hence the reason why you only can do it on / off. When taking pictures, you can use different amounts based on your aspect ratio - see page 151 in the manual. It shouldnt be blurry at all, at least that I cant confirm that.

I dont need that HDMI clamp since I dont have any monitor / recorder or whatsoever. I have put the latest Firmware on my body, which made the IBIS pretty much silent, at least I cant hear it in the recordings (which are crappy anyway, but thats a different story). Or do you mean sth else with "show in usage"?

Thanks! Got myself a Smallrig cage as well as a top handle, improved the smoothness a lot.

Bought it, turned everything into orange, asked for help, no reply given.
Judge for yourself. Top is GH4, below is generic:

    Here a small test :
    3009 x 1280@24p (upscale to 4k) + 14 bits lossless = continuous shooting.
I used the new ML Cinelog-C to Ektar 100 LANDSCAPE lut of @hyalinejim
Graded in Davinci Resolve 12.5, edited in Premiere.

Well the problem is with the GH5, is that it really has no problems other than being a bit too big. You have to admit the GH5 now is sort of the Swiss Army Knife for a fair price I think.

I had a quick play with the new GH5 profile for Filmconvert, but since the GH5 has a different sensor than the GX80, I wasnt too convinced, judge for yourself: top is gh4 profile, bottom gh5 profile:

And this one was the one where I had to apply the least amount of color correction! Like you said, the Summilux lenses have some special mojo going on. Once the GH5 drops in price or a GX comes out that allows the teleconverter option while filming 4K, i am on board.

Aaah, Jase! Beautiful setup! One of the prettiest, that camera, that cage, that lens! Oh, almost forgot the handle:)
Did you buy cage and handle in a set? Ebay or where from? I got myself a beautiful Tokina 24 40 2.8. It is
like a rig for my GX85, awesome to hold on to.

I have a question regarding stabilization. What is the best firmware version for IBIS? Does that version
    make a difference?

Although nowadays GH5 and 5d 4k raw () are getting most of our attention, my partner GX80 doesnt let me down. Nothing special, yet another festival recap. This time however, I started getting used to color masks to remove the orange/green tint. Not perfect yet, plenty of room for improvement. Tell me what you think:
