So just because the sensor is capable of Dual ISO, if they don’t implement a circuit, there would be no trace of it embedded in the hardware of the sensor?
Which leads me to ask... is the implementation of Dual ISO hardware or software related?

But it's a strange situation. It's almost like having 13 or 12.75 Stops at ISO 400 and ISO 3200, or, 13.5 Stops at ISO 100. The low light would be hit big time. I won't be surprised if it may then be unusable at ISO 1600.

AF can cause many spoiled gimbal shots, even canon DPAF can mess up your shot at just the crucial moment.
You can pre focus and maintain subject distance and get great shots, even with shallow DOF.
If you need more leeway, stop down a bit.

Emanuel got a reaction from Kisaha in Fuji X-H1. IBIS, Phase Detect 4K beast?
LOL Before or after he had started to review Sony gear more often as he's used to show off nowadays...?! hehe ; )
I don't care, mate. He has already failed to address some other suggestions I even had the patience to ask him to test (Panasonic AF related IIRC) so I already have my judgement for the subject matter. I'll hardly change my opinion on topic.
At times, some practices happen because they're competitors. Some other times, it is a way to push some party of our inner circle to be more involved and committed with us... A subtle form for raising the bar? (No one likes to have their work underestimated : D It happens ; ))

I am usually very skeptical to take as granted things people make when they keep up appearances. Well, reality goes deeper than them (that is, if my non-native English makes any sense : )
Nice find and argument @Kisaha BTW :-)

hehe yeah, I guess I love to compliment people making fun of it when happens (not exactly on someone, for my goodness sake : ) so you've got it right : )) Positive interpretations also have a merit of their own, even when needed or not. In other words... If I praise something you did, I guess we both should be fine : D There are people with eyes and some other with eyes too, but lacking all the rest variably no matter how the efforts raise the bar :X Your comments often show it is unlikely you miss anything out there ; ) always appreciated, man :-)
Without mention, we share the same principle aside new technology entries: there are no outdated cinematic cameras...

New account, 3 posts...hope that it will not be a 4k movie of Rick Astley (or some DNG from a NX1 Raw).

I was having a discussion in another thread and like I usually do, it got off topic. So rather than step on the other OP’s toes, I decided to make a new thread.
About once a year, usually when a new camera is announced, I become nostalgic about the cameras of yesteryear and I realize how many great cameras have been on the market the past ten years... WOW... has it been almost 10 YEARS since the beginning of the DSLR Revolution or as Andrew Reid likes to call it... “the democratization of filmmaking?”
I’ve been lucky to test out a few of those cameras, but there are a bunch that have eluded me. Maybe I am feeling nostalgic as I watch footage from my 5-6 year old camera but it seems there are some gems that are still available both new and used on the marketplace. Part of me wants to test them all before the new models make those fossils extinct.
So I figured I’d love to hear some of people’s favorite cameras over the past 10 years and maybe some videos to show those cameras at their best.
I posted this in the other thread but I can’t stop watching the first and last couple minutes of it. It was shot on the original C100 and to me looks as cinematic as they come...
And here are a couple from the GH2 that makes me smile every time I watch them...
Please share some of your favorites and if you were forced to shoot with an older camera... which one would you choose?

LOL You are. But with that BMD rep entry I already had dismissed the case... ; ) Better 400 than 800 anyways : )
BTW that talk about free Resolve is rather funny to not say ridiculous :X Hey guys that one is a DaVinci... that one, remember? :-D

Honestly, at $1300...who cares. BM is trying to get more people into the resolve ecosystem and as others have said it isn't actually a cost for them at this point to include the software.

It’s like going to Walgreens and they have a buy one get one sale of paper towels. You are paying full price for the first roll of paper towels and the second roll you are getting for free. You cannot go to the counter and say, well I already paid for paper towels last week, so I don’t need the second roll of free paper towels, will you please deduct the price of the paper towels I paid for last week from the paper towels I am buying this week.

That Bob Caniglia from BMD about 1:25 minute also states 400 and 3200, so I know nothing for the subject matter :-)

Did you see any test that I've made with my C200? I still have compatibility problems with Angelbird 512GB Cfast Card, quite often the camera doesn't recognize the card. I'm in contact with the original dealer, to change it. Next months when I will have all the stuff that I need to buy, and finished the storyboard, I will shot something.

anyway, if you put anything above it be careful not to interfere with the airflow too much

It is more the case that Arri feels they only own ONE really really good sensor which is ready for production (I'm sure they working on others). Thus the easiest way to get true 4K from it is just to scale up the size of the sensor Itself

Hey, finally done with the trailer to our debut feature film at 55Media shot almost entirely on the Panasonic GH5 (some shots on the GoPro6 and P4P) in just 12 days.
Our best work yet. Movie is still going through post-production.

Director of Photography: Dennis Schmitz (me)
    Assistant Director: Ukairo U. Ukairo.

Yes, notice as video. What matters most is the effective color resolution, and in that the BMPCC2 will be better. Introducing more spatial resolution without also increasing color resolution results in the video look. Something looks off, and it is discontinuity in color gradient  as it does not change at the same frequency as does the spatial information

Cinematographers often use diffusion filters to make image more soft, film-like, less digital looking. So high resolution is not always the very important part of a good looking picture.

Resolution for sure not : ) Details? Will you need to end there even risking to end with oversharpened borders for outcome? No way you reach that as actually real cinematic, count on it if so : )) As much as no details will praise the cheater, no good devil you'll find in the details when more than anything, perception is your game after all (E :-)
