PICS: Comparing the complete set of Rokinon cine-style lenses at 4K

I was surprised to find the 35mm noticeably sharper than the 24mm wide open. I had originally planned to make the 24mm my “go to†lens, but now I’m going to return it. The FOV isn’t different enough from the 35mm to justify needing them both.

Well, a couple of different lens testing sites have tested the normal versions of these a while ago, and both indicate that the 35mm one is the sweet spot of the Samyang FF-compatible lineup. Clearly a nudge or two above the others, and also marked as such, at least in the stills versions. Not surprisingly it's the priciest of the bunch, too.

As for the FOV difference between 24mm and 35mm, suppose that's a matter of taste, I think there's enough difference, but if I was to buy just one of those Samyang lenses, the 35mm one would probably be my choice, too. For the aforementioned reason.

From your tags it looks like you used a Lens Turbo for this test Joe? To put it bluntly, doesn't that defeat the whole purpose? The Lens Turbo isn't exactly the sharpest glass in the world ...

What are the best smartphone lenses out there and are there any decent optics tests online? I know brands like Moment lead the way (perhaps with their marketing) but are there better options for an iPhone 11? Looking for quality over price although of course when it comes down to it price will be a concern. Thanks.

      - PRICE: $599
      - STRETCH: 2X
      - FOCUS: Double-focus
      - PAYMENT METHOD: Paypal (fees to be paid after initial payment)
      - LOCATION: Switzerland
      - SHIPPING: Not included
      - INCLUDED: Redstan rear adapter with foot support and Redstan front clamp (value = $100).
      - CONDITION: No scratches and no fungus. Clean glass with the exception of a couple tiny spots on the rear glass. A couple of VERY light scratches that are only noticeable under a light source. Body shows some signs of wear but it works perfectly. Coatings are not flamboyant but the lens creates these signature purple/orange flares perfectly well. I wasn't able to get 1000% tack sharp images, so the lens might need to be serviced. It gives reasonably sharp results though, and my issue might actually come from my taking lens. Bought it from a fellow member of the Anamorphic Shooters group on FB and barely used it because of a decrease in filmmaking activity.
      - COMMENTS: I can send some footage via wetransfer. Open to offers.

Rarely used this bad boy, mainly bought it for my wedding a couple years back. Other than that it’s in great condition. Will sell it with the battery and the 32GB SD.
      Askig: $700
