  1. Slog2 color graded in Davinci with the immense benefit of the logarist workflow. Grain added to dither some banding issues
  2. Hey - Recently just bought the GH4 and was looking at some Rokinon and SLR Magic lenses. I was wondering if I should get them MFT mount or purchase a speed booster and get the EF mount? I am assuming the crop factor will decrease if I get the EF and speed booster but the fact that I won't have to use a adapter with the MFT is great. Just want to get some thoughts on this? Also can anyone recommend other primes that are great with the GH4? Thanks

  5. Hi I am planning on buying Rokinon/Samyang Cine lenses for my dslr, but as I was searching for a place to buy them, I saw a difference between the names of the same lense for example this two : 1) Rokinon 85mm T1.5 AS IF UMC Cine lens 2) Rokinon 85mm T1.5 Cine lens So I searched and I saw that UMC referees to the coating and its seems to be different from the other one. And I don't know what IF stands for tough. So is different? Is the first one better than the other one? I also found a difference in the name between the Samyang ones and the Rokinon ones, which surprises me because they are supposed to be the same lenses, right? 3) Samyang 35mm T1.5 ED AS UMC 4) Rokinon 35mm T1.5 AS UMC So now I am even more confused because I don't know what ED stands for... Please help me out understanding this. Are they actually different? Or are they exactly the same lenses? Thanks :) PS: Sorry if I made a mistake in spelling, english is not my first language.

    Cine lens

Hi guys what is your thought on cine lenses which i don't know much about only that they are expensive like canon cine lenses but i am thinking of getting a set of Rokinon Thanks
  7. I shot this music video for The Fold using the GH3, and a couple of car exterior shots with the Blackmagic Pocket Camera.   https://vimeo.com/76622768     Lenses: Panasonic 12-35 2.8, Rokinon 35 & 85. Black Pro Mist 1/4 filter on most shots.   I used an Ice Light for a couple of shots where I had no access to power, and it totally screwed me. Check out the motel scene, and  you will notice rolling bands. I later figured out if the intesity of the light wasnt at 100 then it created the bands. For the most part I was totally pleased with the GH3, especially with the 60p.
  8. Hey all. This is the first thing that I've shot with the GH3. It's a commercial for a technology company. I'm loving the combo of the camera and this lens. Check it out.   https://vimeo.com/61824609
  9. Hello everyone, I'm relatively new here considering my post count, but I've been reading these forums for quite a long time now and I'm at the brink of buying a Panasonic GH2. So first of all, which kit to buy? I think I will use this camera mainly for run and gun docu/event shoots (low-light?!), but I like to do some pseudo-artistic hobby shoots from time to time as well. I thought of these options; 1. GH2 with 14-140mm kit and a Voigtländer 25mm. 2. GH2 body (or with the 14-42mm, as there's not much of a difference in price) with a Rokinon/Samyang 24mm and 35mm cine lens. Or should I wait for a longer focal length cine lens as 24 and 35mm do not make such a huge difference for a starter kit, right? Both kits end up being somewhat in the same price range, but I'm a little bit concerned with investing a lot of money in a M43 lens collection, that's why I added option 2. I also like the Cine-versions of the Rokinon lenses, as they've got click-less aperture and follow-focus gears (I already have a Gini rig with Follow Focus). With the Voigtländer being a F0.95 lens and the Rokinon a T1.4, is it a night and day difference in lowlight? (If you'll pardon the pun and ignore the lowlight performance of the GH2 in general). Second question, filters. Should I buy a 77mm variable ND (with step-up rings of course) or should I invest in a mattebox with 4x4 filters. Which of these two options will bring me longterm value for money and convenience? What are their pros and cons? Well, thanks for reading. Jon
  10. Hey guys, GH2 owner.. I have seen Rokinon's 7.5mm Fisheye they have for m43'rds and then I saw their 85mm F14 telephoto lens made for 4/3rds (on my wish list) for $300!! http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/769411-REG/Rokinon_85M_O_85mm_f_1_4_Aspherical_Lens.html So I decided to take a look at their site and find out they have some also a 24mm F1.4 lens for $800..
