FOR SALE: Iscorama 36 ready to shoot

Recommended Posts

Hey there

I want to sell my lovely Iscorama 36 Nikon 50mm 2.8. It's really hard to give this beauty away but there are times where you have to do what you have to do.

This lens is in a perfect condition, all glasses are free of fungus, dust, oil or scratches.
The only marks of usage are visible at the white numbers on the focus ring and at the rear barrel due to too cheap mounting bracket. This bracket caused some minor scratches which doesn't effect usability at all.
The optics are perfectly clear and focus ring runs very smoothly.
I've got also the very rare and high quality achromat TOKINA +.4 72mm, which is used to reduce minimum focus distance with the iscorama.

The Package includes:

Iscorama 36 anamorphot
Nikon 50mm 2.8 taking lens
Nikon to Canon adapter
    Original Iscorama packaging with instruction manual

TOKINA At-X +.4 Achromat 72mm
    little Tokina leather bag

Soligor +1,+2,+4 Achromat 72mm
    little Soligor leather bag

several Step rings/distance rings to fit other lenses (which is in my opinion the safest and fastest way to use the anamorphot)
   52mm->49mm
   49mm->52mm
   58mm->52mm
   67mm->52mm
   2x distance ring 52mm

some photos of the optics and filters are attached below

Pricing for the hole package with national shipping (incl. insurance): 3200€ with paypal

Collection also available, current product location: Germany, Nuremberg
international shipping is calculated as soon as I know the destination country.

customs duty may be added within non EU countries!
I bought the lens on ebay US and i was lucky enough that customs haven't charged me,  just FYI.

Really nice condition. I believe this to actually be an original Iscorama not the 36.

The original is single coated, flares more. Has 30mm rear element but hardly more vignetting than a later '36'.

Very nice sir.

@ jijas

hey, yeah I still have the diopters. The thing is, when I sell these seperatly it's much harder for me to sell the rest and I couldn't use the iscorama properly in the future if there is no one to buy this beatiful lens. That being said, I'd like to sell it in a set.

@ andrew

Just measured the diameter and ,well, your right. This lens is the predecessor of the Iscorama 36. It is single coated and flares in a warm/orange color. On a 60D I could use down to 35mm without vignetting too much. 28mm was okay when cropping to 2,35:1 instead of 2,66:1

thanks :)

5 months ago i would have picked this up immediately.

Instead i got stuck with a defunct Panasonic LA7200, custom diopter housing and too small a diopter for the lens.

Dont get the Panasonic LA7200s these are the ones to go with.

SOLD to ch_d!

thanks to everyone.

Sorry guys - i had to!
I promise i won´t put any videos of flowers nor cats into this forum with this lovely glass! (ok maybe cats)

I am sure that my Leica-R taking lenses will fit perfectly with the Iscorama since these lenses were produced at approximately the same time.

      Hi everyone!
      I wanted to showcase my passion project "The Night Knows No Shore" here on EOSHD. I've been a long time reader of Andrew's blog and it was his footage that inspired me to get an Iscorama a long time ago.
      After doing tests with it for a while I came up with this idea for a movie. And you can now see the result on youtube:

      It's a project made by one single actor and one single crew member (me) with one single focal length (a Canon FD 85mm 1.8) and one single focus anamorphic lens ( Iscorama pre-36). Don't expect much action. It's a slow film with lots of monologues and no real plot. It's about one young man's thoughts on society, religion, art, philosophy, life in general. Have a look. If you don't like all the "pretentious" talking, maybe you like the footage. Let me know what you think. If you have any questions, just ask. Enjoy!

      I'm selling a copy of the smallest Anamorphic lens in the world, the Baby Hypergonar 1.75x. It's been said there were only about 50 of these ever made. Designed by the OG, Henri Chretien, and made in 1957.
      It is in great condition. Comes with a little black carry case. Really lovely copy, no scatches, fungus, haze. Body is in great shape. There are a few small coating blemishes on the front, but they are so hard to see I couldn't even capture them in the pictures, and they don't show up in performance.
      Can be used by just focusing your taking lens or in combination with a single focus variable diopter. Neutral unique flares and beautiful rendering.
      - PRICE: $1500 USD
      - LENS NAME: Baby Hypergonar
      - CONDITION: Near Mint Optics, Mint Body
      - PAYMENT METHOD: PayPal
      - LOCATION: Los Angeles, CA, USA
      - FEES & SHIPPING: PayPal fees and shipping paid by buyer.

      Please PM me if interested
