Despite the issues I am going to be getting the camera soon. The price/value ratio is just incredibly high no matter how you look at it. BM is now really the only one competing against RED with a compressed RAW format. The Pocket is of course cheaper than even the RED one and probably performs better.  I of course hope they solve these current issues but even if not its still a solid camera. 

I want to see Nikon add internal RAW! 

At  the same time some of the up and coming cinematographers could also have a soft side for M43 like the GH2 onwards. 

I think M43 definitely doesn't have a huge place in the narrative world at least the higher end. S35 kind of already has that place and things don't usually go downwards.

Right now that pixelation blue sky issue is kind of holding me off on the Pocket 4k.

The 5D MK3 is very tempting at its price point. With the battery grip the battery life is kind of impressive to compared to the XT3 and especially the Pocket.

With 14bit uncompressed Raw, I get about 12 minutes on a 64GB card. With the 14bit Lossless, it seems to be double but I haven’t used it enough to fill a card. The difference in quality between uncompressed and lossless seems negligible.

That actually looks hella nice. M43 sensor 24-75 focal length 

Would be cool to see a camera like that with 10 bit or RAW recording.

I think for what we are into the PK4 is hands down the winner. Lot more real options for serious work. For just a hobby, I think the XT-3 is pretty unbeatable. I am finding on the EOS M ML is a big pain in the ass for dependability. Each build you try is just a total re learn, and a shot in the dark. Frustrating, and well, not a lot of fun as an overall experience. For the money well sure, but why spend your life  F ing with something when you could just go out and shoot something in a normal manner and be done with it. Are you Really ahead? In this day and age you can make almost anything look like anything if you have skill.

XT3 + bmpcc4k would be a great combo too... less cumbersome than BM + 5D for my needs. But probably out of budget. With that being said, I really like the tokina 11-16 f2.8 and the sigma 18-35 f1.8, and both can be shared between the XT3 and bmpcc4k. Plus, the budget could be less stretched than buying the same focals for a full frame...

Thinking about it now I'll probably sell the XT30, I like the XT3 body more and of course internal 10 bit is nice to have. I am not sure if I'll go this route or not. It would definitely throw a wrench in my system. Would satisfy my never ending new camera acquisition syndrome tho lol

The plus side is I already have a bunch of manual glass I can adapt so that would be an easy switch.

Wasn't expecting the Pocket to be significantly better than the Fuji. Its a very tempting option right now along with a hacked 5D mark 3. How does prores compare to the HEVC on the Pocket?

You have to treat it like any other business and put all your free time into it. Finding a niche or doing something that appeals to a wide audience and doing it really well is the key. 

Controversial and outrageous stuff gets attention a lot faster thats for sure.

I am on the very low end lol as are most people on here, at least from what I've seen. Except maybe webrunner

The URSA mini G2 would definitely be my camera of choice if I had the money.

The EM1 Mkii is probably where its at for vlogging.
