I'm just not sure, the blackmagics are way cheaper, the c200 a bit cheaper and the reds at the opposite side with redraw and a well established system.
I would love a play with one especially alongside a cheaper and more expensive option to see how it fits but I'd be more likely to get a pocket 4k to go along my fujis. If I was doing a feature film anytime soon I'd look hard at Red Gemini I think.
I like that a more established model has more community and range of luts around it.

Of course it would always be great to have a high end work station but just to add another view point to some of the high spec suggestions above..
It depends what files you are working with ie low compression raw files will need the fast raid drives but files from gh5/fujis/Sony's not so much.
I am currently using a i7 7700k with a Amd Rx 480 (8gb) GPU and no big raid set ups. I use resolve with a variety of 4k footage from Pana/Fuji/blackmagics and can run all projects at the full frame rates with smooth editing all around. Only noise reduction slows it down. Even with a bunch of nodes and film convert it still 100% smooth. For me a bigger rig would only cut render times and improve noise reduction performance.
So think about your usesage/budget together.

I don't want to sound to negative towards the XT3 image because I think it's pretty wonderful overall and a more pleasing image than I had from the gh5.. however I wish all these cameras would add an 'off' to the noise reduction and sharpness. Then we could add a little for straight out cam looks if we like but leave it off for doing later or just leaving it natural. I guess people would be shocked at how noisy beyond iso 400 on a gh5 would be without the processing though ?

There are different types with different looks. The popular 'black pro mist' has some bloom and contrast reduction. But the Tiffen digital diffusion with no contrast reduction or bloom, and the ultra contrast is no diffusion, just contrast reduction, no bloom. The Tiffen hdfx combines those last two for both diffusion and contrast reduction without bloom. There are of course many more options but those are the ones I currently use.
My favourite (for now) is a Tiffen HDTV (sometimes called hdfx) at 1/2 strength. I use it on Nikon ais lenses for when a softer filmy look is what I'm after.
I just used one on a Fuji xh1 and (mostly) Nikon ais 35mm 1.4 on a speed booster for part of a short film. I'll see if I can get a screen grab together

    Did he say that? Woow.

On my side I prefer shorter battery life, it allows me to focus on the essential. I prefer the crop, it allows me to easily zoom and I can use my EFS lens when I want to go wide with the super nice 10-18mm. I prefer having Full HD 60p only, easier to edit than 4K60p! And lord knows how I prefer lower DR: it forces you to expose right.
Thanks Canon for making my life easier. Thanks for the trip to Hawaii and free cameras too!

I would be more than happy to shoot my next short on one if one was on offer. Image looks great. That being said if I'm laying down my own cash there is just too much on offer else where that is that little bit more tempting.
My current thoughts are to get an xt3 along side/instead of my xh1. Or a blackmagic pocket 4k.
Or just stick with the xh1 a while and see how it all plays out (new Panasonic, new a7iii etc) I'm in no rush but I do love a new camera ?

I'm aware of your work on the gh5 but have not tested it myself. In truth I was thinking about it but I have started using my Fuji xh1 for still and video most of the time now, I find the eterna profile with sharpness and noise reduction turned down to to have a more pleasing, less 'processed' look.... The same reason I'm still looking at the p4k I guess

Unless the gh5 spits out raw and bypasses the built in noise reduction and sharpening I would be surprised if indistinguishable could be achieved. I'd imagine a very well made lut could get the colour close however and that would be most welcome regardless ?

I will take a great looking image with great skin tones any day over good spec sheet. As far as I am concerned,  Sony can put the best tech in the A7S III but if it's still classic color science and skin tones, then my search for a new camera hybrid camera will continue. I pre-ordered the Z6 and I look forward to first trying out the Z7 to see how I will like or not the Z6. I am keeping my eyes opened on the up coming Fuji XT-3. Canon, I am not holding my breath!

I picked up a Fuji xh1 3 months ago (and had gh5 for a while now) so I'm not rushing out to grab another camera just yet (lying to myself).
I was going to get an atomos ninja v to use mainly as a bright monitor, but nice to see if a new Nikon found its way to me I could get 10bit log out of it with this. A shame it's not internal but great to see it's there anyway. Full frame, nice colour, 10 bit. A lot to like.
    Shame the LCD isn't bigger.
If I do decide I need a full frame (I will) to accompany my M4/3 and apsc I would wait to see the a7siii, maybe the Venice colour can finally compete with the other brands for me ?. Also if canon do something it could be worth a look. Oh and the bmpcc 4k is a given.
Current odds of me buying a Nikon z6 50% (75%).
    Odds of divorce....

Of course like most cameras these days it's possible to get good results. There are better options clearly when it comes to video but here is a vid I shot on the a7 ii a year or 2 ago. (To see something by someone with less talent than the example above)
Mostly just to put some video to my music and it's the cam I had with me in Kazakhstan at the time.
