  1. Need more option control. The compression mode is lossy. The output file time duration is also decreased from the original file. And this is with every iteration.
  2. Merry Christmas to all! I visited Malaga, Torremolinos, and Barcelona in the '80s, was fabulous!
  3. Just relating my humble experience, I've used my T5 on my ipad pro, not for editing, but for file transfers, to and from. The first use, I pondered about how to perform a proper eject from the ipad, so I just always power the ipad off. Been working okay for since a long time now. Oh, I've done this many times for my family members iphones too.
  4. I have the Fringer Pro, the first version, there is a II version now available? Hard to keep up, I have too many different bodies/mounts... Anywho, the Fringer Pro works well with my Fuji X-T2, and all the AF lenses I have tried with it, Canon 50/1.0L, and my Canon 200/1.8L, even my Conurus modified EOS mount Contax N 85/1.4
  5. Doesn't flash for stills depend on mechanical shutters?
  6. Is it a plugin for a DAW? If so, you can adjust it's strength. UPDATE: It's a plugin, just bought it, it's adjustable in a DAW, dunno about Resolve. I tried plugins in Resolve a while back, didn't work good. I use Reaper for audio work, then import finished files into Resolve.
  7. Maybe Fast CinemaDNG Processor would be good to use? https://www.fastcinemadng.com/ I first heard of it today.
  8. https://www.fastcinemadng.com/ Thoughts?
  9. MediaInfo doesn't seem to display this information?
  10. New low price: Panasonic GH5 now sells for $1397 only https://www.43rumors.com/new-low-price-panasonic-gh5-now-sells-for-1397-only/ Adorama, Amazon, and B&H Photo

  12. I haven't compared. Shrug, opengate is my default for this camera.
  13. I don't think 6k will be a delivery medium. However, I really like shooting in opengate mode on my GH5, it gives me so much lattitude in post.
  14. I use the Fringer Pro on my X-T2 with great success. Canon 100-400L II, 24-105L F4, 200/1.8, and 50/1.0 all work fine. I haven't used any APC lenses with it, as I use those with my GH5. GH5 with Metabones 0.64XL and Tokina 11-16 and Sigma Art 18-35 both work great, as do all the others above.
  15. This. Just got finished with school choir.
  16. Thanks, I've always asked and have been politely declined. Yes, I know that is the best route, besides trying to put mics and recorders on stage, etc. Neither venue has ever consented to either way. This Tuesday night I try again... I'm really asking here because you guys are very knowledgable and experienced. I have learned a LOT from this blog, THANKS TO ALL! I read this thread with great interest and notice that a shotgun mic like I have is probably not that good to use in an auditorium and church group type environment? Because of reflections causing reverb? Maybe that's why the auditorium recordings sound muddy? I know I have to do LOTS of post work on either. iZotope plugins help me a lot...
  17. Hope I don't divert too much from the topic, What is a good microphone for recording school chorus in an auditorium? Or small church audience environment? I'm always in the back. Amateur currently using GH5 and Azden SGM-250 with Audio Technica 3 way selectable pad XLR <> 3.5mm adapter into audio in port. Always wanted the Panasonic external audio adapter...
  18. They MUST have the focus zoom check available DURING recording. They MUST have some kind of usable output via HDMI DURING recording of opengate mode for focus check. PLEASE!
  19. Uhm, it's 1.33 though. Shrug, I still like my Kowa B&H 2X...
  20. I still like to use my Canon 200/1.8L, and 50/1.0L on the Panasonic GH5 via Metabones 0.64XL, Fuji XT-2 via Fringer Pro, and now with Fuji GFX 50R via TechArt Pro. Still working great. I would sooo love to go to an F1!
  21. >>> Boris FX Acquires Digital Film Tools Bummer, I hope they honor my exisiting licenses.
  22. Just to say, my ol' 5DMkII system was one great run. Seriously, untill the old mis-mangement is retired or fired, I will never look at another Canon ad, or anything else. After the 5DMkII, Canon had died. They will never change without new blood.
  23. This absolutely kills me. No one is willing to calm down and setup shots properly, etc. "oh, it'll be good enough." I really hate this line of misthinking. I tell people who say that, "okay for you, NEVER for me, you will NEVER be no more than good enough, or even less than." All my family says this when I bring out my gear and want to perform a proper shoot.
