  1. Wow, a desqueezed still from 5DMkII is a 40.2MP file. 11232 x 3744, pretty dang wide.
  2. Thanks, though the products are confusing to this newbie, as they look to overlap each other?

I am awaiting a full training series for Resolve 12. I'm still stuck on desqueeze of anamorphic video, sigh...
  4. Hello, Resolve newbie here... Okay, I have searched, and searched. I have tried all the suggestions I have found, and I still cannot get this to work. Yes, of course, I searched the manual, and actually tried it. too. How do you desqueeze anamorphic video in Resolve 12 Lite, or can you? Background, I am using Canon 5DMkII Magic Lantern RAW video, exported to Cinema DNG, via raw2cdng.1.7.4 I import the Cinema DNGs into Resolve 12 Lite, I have tried adjusting the timeline, and the project properties with no success. What are the settings I am looking for? Thanks! I have ordered the adavanced copy of the book on Amazon for Resolve 12, and having a really hard time waiting on it, and the training videos, as I refuse to give any more monies to the arrogance of the adobe mismanagement...
  5. Wow! Thanks for this! Lots of great information. The Rectilux videos have me sold on getting one.
  6. Shrug, can't you cut some foam and wedge in between to work? Heh, I currenty have my Sankor 16F duct taped to a macro extension ring, and then connected to my Helios 44-7m. Played with it this morning, big time swirly background, and heavy vignetting from my ol' 5DMkII. Hard to focus too. I'm awaiting a Redstan adapter clamp, and I also ordered a Vid Atlantic adapter clamp. I need to get one of those rail system thingies...
  7. Bought a Redstan clamp in the meantime. Saving up my pennies...
  8. Thanks, unfortunatley I don't know German language. I doubt Google translate would work well on these documents, I will try...
  9. Anyone have experince with Resolve tutorials? Either free, or paid. Yes, I have been Goggeling... I would rather pay for a dongle than give Adobe anymore monies. I am on a PC, if that matters...
  10. I don't think I will ever sell my ol' 5DMkII, it has been very good to me, and continues to work well. Actually, I see that I don't sell anything, I seem to "collect" gear as well use it. *8^) I am wanting a GH4 now, having being bit by the video bug. Recently got a package deal on two Kowa 2x anamorphic for Bell and Howell lenses, and two Sankor anamorphic 16F lenses. Been playing with these and my 5DMkII. Now wanting the expensive Rectilux 3FF-W adapter.
  11. You can also go to the other extreme with bokeh. I've always wanted the "silver" version of the Helios 85/1.4 for it's swirley bokeh. Then there is the AEJ version of the fabulous C/Y 35/1.4, it's aperture blades make triangle shape bokeh. I didn't like it, so, I have the MMJ version. Don't forget the famous Trioplan 100/2.8, it gives a "soap bubble" bokeh look. I shot some Magic Lantern RAW video recently with my ol' 5DMkII after a morning rain and the sun peaking out between the clouds. I need to process this and post it somehow, it is very interesting. I have many old lenses with character, I like them better than neutral lenses.
  12. Thanks. Probably will, though, if someone has one used for cheaper...
  13. Hello, I would like to purchase a Rectilux 3FF-W kit for use with my Kowa anamorphic for Bell & Howell lens. Thanks!
  14. I would be in for one of these "new style" YAGH like devices.
  15. Wow, and I was set on a Rectilux and a Kowa Bell & Howell. Kinda difficult choices for a newbie hobbiest...
  16. Windoze 7 is the last windoze for me. Dunno what I am ever gonna do about Photoshop, sigh... Have any of you read the 45 page EULA for windoze 10? Also, you think you have found ALL the privacy settings in windoze 10, I seriously doubt it...
  17. Hello, What are the differences in all the anamorphic Kowas I see posted on eBay? I see 16-S, and 16-D models. How do these differ from the 16-h/8Z models? I really want to purchase the Bell & Howell Kowa and the RECTILUX 3FF-W. Doubt I'll ever see one on eBay... Oh, yes, I'm a newb. Yes, I purchased Andrew's Anamorphic Lens Guide. Heh, I even purchased the GH4 Guide, and don't have one. Still waffling on the GH4 purchase. I have my ol' 5DMkII. I've been playing with Magic Lantern RAW, it's kinda cool. I on'y got into video recently, as I found out my neice can sing REALLY good, so, wanting to learn and do more videos now.
