Ive had my D750 for a few weeks now and love it. The image quality/file size is amazing. Colors are sweet. Body and buttons nice. Its a great cam and I ditched my G7 for it (pretty much the same as a GH4).

I've been using the RX10 II now for 2 months and I've used it on about 4 low budget music videos exclusively. (none of these have been released so I can't share yet).
Generally i've had a pretty good time using the camera - you can get pretty good colour if you modify the Slog2 preset, although I would never use the factory Slog2 as it looks like a pile of sick.
There are a lot of good things about the camera, it's a lot of fun - but these are the issues I'm coming across:
Under challenging lighting conditions, the image from this camera is exceptionally noisy - even under ISO800. This site reported in the RX10 II review it's usable at up to ISO6400. I don't find that to be true under any type of lighting whatsoever. Especially in Slog2 - noise is absolutely insane. This camera needs a lot of light, and I'd only go up to ISO800 in those conditions too. Focus peaking is slightly inaccurate. At the telephoto end, this makes it tricky to focus.  120fps in HD looks very close in quality to 4k. Great for 1080p, but what does that say about the 4k? Hmmm... Does anybody have any RX10 II experiences to share? Any decent picture profiles? Good results concerning noise?

Raw stills produce decent skin tones, even under spikey-green LED light (Canon 50mm F1.4 (F1.0 indicated) on SpeedBooster in crop mode):

Will test with the next model shoot next to the 5D Mark III.

I'm still waiting for the first example of a truly natural grade from the A7sii s-log3. All the graded footage so far looks like the instagram-filter s-log footage I really dislike (ymmv).
For me the natural look is the acid test of a camera's capabilities. Washed out artistic grades hide a multitude of sins.

Slog3 isn't usable any time there's a relatively continuous color/luma, such as indoor paint/walls, etc. However, there's an easy solution that looks pretty good. Use PP9, which is Slog3 and SGamut3 (not usable for anything, way too wide a color space), change SLog3 to Slog2, then change SGamut3 to SGamut3.cine, use any of the ARRI LUTs in PP CC, or just using a curve to pull the blacks down and pull up the mids a bit, add saturation, and it looks very similar to the ARRI LUTs.
SLog3 + SGamut3.cine (JPEG on this site looks worse than in PP CC: click on the first image and view full size for better results):

    SLog2 + SGamut3.cine:

    Another look for SLog2 + SGamut3.cine:

    SLog2 + SGamut3.cine with Alexa DCIP3 LUT (+ other Lumetri panel tweaks):

I think the camera did reasonably well for these bathroom lights: CREE daylight 100w eq. LEDs, with a strong green spike, mixed with incandescents. After I've shot with models in the studio with the high CRI Light Storms, I'll post some images.

Total continuous 4K recording time, brand new Sony factory battery fully charged: 1 hour 20 minutes.
Number of overheat events, 74F ambient air temp: 2. First overheat event shut off camera. 2nd occurred as battery was nearing empty: displayed temp alert (orange thermometer + triangle), battery drained before shutdown.
Camera must be restarted every 29m59s to perform this test.
I never used the A7S this way, and will never use the A7S II this way, as I tend to turn off the camera between takes to save battery power. In a hot environment this could be an issue.
The improved color and 5-axis stabilizer makes the A7S II worth the upgrade even if not using 4K. Given the heavy macroblocking, the best results for 4K must be done with an external 4K recorder. For indie projects, this is a decent camera. For a paid, higher end shoot, a pro camera with 10-bit and higher bitrate is needed for 4K. We're looking forward to the C300 II production version reviews.

Just did a long 4K recording run to test for overheating. Inconclusive as the battery died at 28mins
    Will try again tonight.

The Sony A7S II has arrived at EOSHD. Does it impress? Yes.

I have a top spec MacBook with the GeForce 750 1Gb and I edit LX100 4K files on it with no problem at all in FCP X. Of course, not everything is real-time and I have the viewer set to best-performance, not best quality. Color correction and some effects work realtime or enough fps. Multicam 4K I haven't tried and probably won't work smoothly!
With Macs you must get the cheapest or the more expensive. Sell it with some warranty time left and you will probably loose less than 1000$!!!

According to another blog, the Coelux currently costs £40,000 to buy and around £5,000 for installation. Hopefully the technology (along with the price) is adopted for the masses.

Yes you have to take into consideration that it was chris (the photo guy) who shot the part where they talked about video, he probably do not know how to expose correctly for slog3. I would have liked to seen some ungraded samples.

I took the same approach with a trashcan Mac Pro and a 40" 4k monitor, resale value is high and I'll get a lot out of it while I use it - I figure it'll cost about $20-25/wk if I keep it for 18 months. I can't stand the glare from iMac screens or I would have went with the retina. If they would just make a matte screen on the iMac...

Keep in mind that editing 4K smoothly on a quadcore machine means transcoding. So the higher the better. A problem might be thermal throttling : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJt3av99e8k
SSD will make a big difference for scratch storage.
P70 you can keep. Also the Thinkpad line has a very very different build quality and customer service than the one for consumers. If you go with the thinkpad you really want their world wide warranty with accidental damage protection. So no matter what you do to that computer, it will get replaced/fixed for free no questions asked.

Us swede's know how to stay simple, Scandinavian minimalism? Hehe, joke aside, I did some tests of the G7, GX8 and then decided to stick with my LX100. Which I pair with the BMPCC (men fan, önskar jag hade råd med alla kameror du äger!)

Apparently the 1080p 120fps is a 2.2x (!) crop, really really dissapointed in that. I was hoping for some rx10/100 level slow mo in this thing. Lets hope the quality is atleast decent.

Not sure about the A7Sii but the "top private dealer" you spoke to is wrong. The A7Rii will overheat but only with extended video recording in UHD. I own one and I would challenge anyone to find a single unit that doesn't overheat. Having said this, most users won't notice it because either they use the camera for stills or record shorter video clips. Our unit overheats in 80°f weather on average at around 25 mins.. We do extended interviews and like the A7Rii for its small size and versatility in the field when we don't want to carry our FS7s. We use a Shogun which eliminates both the overheating issue and the recording time limit restriction.

I did see 'em before. For me one of the more exciting things showcased at NAB. Next to Aputure's Light Storm series.
Ofcourse at IBC a Chinese company was already working on a similar product (to the Wescott, I've already seen similar Aputure panels on LinkDelight)...

    Cool.
I had a similar approach a few monts back when the A7rii was released. I looked at the price and thought "why".
Bought two 16mm film cameras and a bunch of film instead. And still had over $2000 left before reaching the cost of the Sony.
Thats why I have the G7. But now Im back to DSLR + BMPCC.
