  1. I dont like the high shutterspeed + looks oversharp to me + due to the lowlight a lot of the footage looks weird/mushy(maybe could be solved by crushing the shadows/blacks a bit more).
  2. I just received the panasonic S5, did not open the box yet. But somehow I am still lured to the R5 and R6. R5 is a bit too pricey for me, but I just keep wondering if I can make the R6 work. I have not seen anything goodlocking on any panasonic S camera. And from the R5/R6 I have seen some great stuff already. Also the skintones comparisons, the canons really shine imo. - The overheating was a worry, but I believe we can bypass it now with the battery door trick. - Codecs, how hard they are to edit. - How good is the 1080p - Do you struggle with the dynamic range (vs A7SIII, S1H, pocket 6K,...)
  3. Yes sorry, comment was aimed at editing h265 cheaply.
  4. Toobad its macbook, hopefully a pc alternative soon.
  5. Hmm I was hoping on something more. I dont need any of these features as of now, or maybe they are handy but I dont grasp the concept yet.
  6. Yeah dont like to use proxy's because it takes time, and it takes up hard disk space.
  7. Yeah I guess that sums it up. Every other camera is flawed heavy. And this one does not seem to excell in any department, but its just ok or more then ok for all departments.
  8. Weight and screen that can be flipped to the front so you can film youself(handy for test shots or vlogging)
  9. Im referring to the canon r5 files, and yeah I know its a hardware problem. And h265 is a nightmare vs raw or prores.
  10. Oh and if possible make editing h265 smooth like butter. Then I might get a r5.
  11. Setup times are important, putting a monitor on your camera when you pull it out of your backpack does take some time and you might loose a cool shot + its not fun, I would rather be tempted to leave the camera at home/hotel. Putting it away in your backpack with the monitor still attached it might hurt the sdi/hdmi connector. But I do really like the komodo, if I did this thing full time I would def get one. And get a bunch of other cameras as well.
  12. - export prores on windows - better graphics support jpg, png, psd without jagged lines etc - auto color correct clips to each other (manual matching cameras kinda sucks without a color checker) - better render quality for h264
  13. Monday bm will release resolve 17. Exited to see what they will announce.
  14. What about video DR? As there is prolly not any bracketing taking place, the non smartphones might have the upperhand again.
  15. Looks like they are focussing on the AV1 and not HEVC. I honestly dont understand what camera companies are thinking implementing codecs that are almost unusable. I never in my life will return to apple/mac.
  16. Any news that AMD is working on it?
  17. What are we waiting for to edit h265, do we need some new pc hardware? Is there none on the market out yet? As h265 is out already for a couple of years now.
  18. Same over here with coolblue in Belgium. I hope the lens claim will come through otherwise I am done with that retailer.
  19. No a Belgian shop. On the claim document I got it says 30 october though. I just sent them a mail, hopefully they will extend it to november.. cause I feel a bit irritated by the shop and their lack of effort of trying to solve it.
  20. Yeah this sucks, I ordered back in september. Did not get the camera yet, and tomorrow is the last day to apply for the free lens...... Im gonna cancel my order.
  21. Yes that is a good strategy. Too bad for us. Or would be great if bm would release a hybrid as well, with hotflash shoe for flash photography, IBIS, fast AF, compact and great battery life.
  22. I wish they would work togheter so we could get internal BRAW on other camera's.
