They should, the A7III is a dinosaur. With all these camera options the A7III is lacking behind. And for write off's its kinda important to release the camera before the end of the year.

Surely they can confirm that it is approved and then send the lens 30 days later and ask for new proof or something. I only bought the camera now because they offer the free lens because its a good deal. If I dont get the lens I do want to return it, cause then I can wait for the a7iv which prolly will outperform the s5.

In europe is the sigma-21 cheaper then the fotodiox adapter, would you still go for the fotodiox diopter?

Mid november, djeez thats a long time. When do you know they approved the lens giveaway? Cause if im not getting the lens, im gonna cancel my order and wait some more time. Maybe till a a74 is due.

I ordered the S5, but looks like I will not be getting it in september. But this prolly means I will not be getting a free lens then or am I still entitled.

Well I have no intention in buying L lenses, I will just use an EF - L adapter. But yeah I wished the R5 or the R6 was the chosen camera, but the main problems with the R5 is high cost, overheating so trust issues but also the files arent edit friendly. (A7S III price is also too high, at least in Europe)

Exactly. This is how I feel also. A lot of camera's to choose from this year though. I think I am getting an S5 at this point. Which can handle hybrid shoots, or family shoots or travel shoots(especially done with carrying a lot of camera's during travel, going back to 1 camera, 1 lens I think for travel).

Do you think it would be possible it will have a hotshoe for flash photography, or even know if this thing can take pictures? (looking for a hybrid setup, will buy a s5 this weekend I think) and save some money to buy some additional lights.

How long does the battery last on the S5? Im quite jealous of the battery of the A7III,I went to a 8 hour shoot once with a guy, and he didnt even had to change his battery (not continously shooting offcourse).

A bit strange that the S1H has more DR then the S5, not sure if the test was faulty (maybe different lens). Or did panasonic pull out a small cripple hammer.

What EF adapter will you get? I just saw a video claiming the AF for the mhotography side from the s5 is good, only AF in video sucks. Which isnt that big of a deal for me, the only reason AF is needed is because my wife can only use Af, and next time we go out for a trip I want my face not to be blurry (hmm or maybe its not accidental)

Yeah with the lens deal, I think this is a too good of a deal to pass up on. The S1H has one stop of ibis more, 4K 60 FPS without crop and the anti aliasing filter, (not interested in external recording) but thats not worth twice the price for me at least.

That footage from Arri is pretty horrible though, some cows in a field vs RED has some pretty good stuff on there.

Yeah its kinda cute though 😄 But yeah I dont see the point of this camera. If it had better specs then the A7III then it would be another story. Looks like A7IV will be quite some time away. Too bad as it would be kinda great to compare to the S5.

Isnt the S5 going to eat a lot of sigma fp customers?

Yeah I guess blackmagic wont go for ibis but prolly gyro data, that they once said to include in the ursa. (but never did)

Yeah this is what the sigma fp has been missing, allthough I wonder if the image will flip when its updside down or not? Also sigma should implement ibis on the fp?
