  1. Yeah with the lens deal, I think this is a too good of a deal to pass up on. The S1H has one stop of ibis more, 4K 60 FPS without crop and the anti aliasing filter, (not interested in external recording) but thats not worth twice the price for me at least.
  2. That footage from Arri is pretty horrible though, some cows in a field vs RED has some pretty good stuff on there.
  3. Yeah its kinda cute though 😄 But yeah I dont see the point of this camera. If it had better specs then the A7III then it would be another story. Looks like A7IV will be quite some time away. Too bad as it would be kinda great to compare to the S5.
  4. Isnt the S5 going to eat a lot of sigma fp customers?
  5. Yeah I guess blackmagic wont go for ibis but prolly gyro data, that they once said to include in the ursa. (but never did)
  6. Yeah this is what the sigma fp has been missing, allthough I wonder if the image will flip when its updside down or not? Also sigma should implement ibis on the fp?
  7. Ah I just saw this on youtube, I came over here to post it, but you already did it. It really looks great! Might get one in a couple of years.
  8. @Andrew Reid could you do a side by side video with the r5 and you s1h? I didnt found any comparison videos between these 2. I wonder how much difference of DR there is in real life and how bad the AF is on the S1h in comparison and stabilization. But also how smooth do the files edit? Does the s1h have an edit codec advantage? Thanks!
  9. Any links to s5 deals (like extra battery, SD or combo deal with EF adapter) in europe?
  10. yeah but in that case, you are grading it before the edit. Or you keep your layers seperated. I just throw all my footage on the timeline no matter the camera, edit a timeline, and in the end start grading. But at that pont all camera's are mixed up all over different layers.
  11. Best way is prolly to just add a new node on the adjustment layer and disable the node itself.
  12. Yeah but then you have to layer the camera model per layer. Just tested hiding the adjustment layer but it then the grade doesnt get applied either, so not that usefull im afraid.
  13. Oh I am not behind my pc atm but does hiding the adjustment layer also not disable all effects on it? If thats the case then its not that usefull. As after a global grade, every clip reacts a bit different and I need to set it right by eye.
  14. Thanks, glad that you brought this up. How do select all footage from one cameta to apply a conversion if you are working with different camera systems. Or do you do this manually, going clip by clip? As my timelines are shuffled between cameras and I have to look up which camera it is at each clip, which is quite a drag. So a select all where filename starts with a000 or something in the edit timeline page.
  15. Hello, Does anybody know how to lock an adjustment layer in resolve in the color tab so you do not accidently change the adjustment layer, as when I am browsing the clips in the color page, it often switches to the adjustment layer without me noticing and I start tweaking the adjustment layer instead of the individual clip. (locking the adjustment layer in the edit tab does not work) Thanks,
  16. Yeah I was thinking the same, but then I started thinking: I might miss good shots due to the fact im afraid to take many shots out of fear of it overheating. So it will prolly be creative limiting your use of the camera.
  17. Lets wait on some test results from some users. Might be interested in the R6, if the overheating is solved. Otherwise I will go for an panasonic S5 I think. R5 is just too pricey, a7S III as well.
  18. Nah Fullframe is not needed. But for me it is handy if you do photography(full frame) and video and you want to share the same lenses. A bit offtopic: but the dynamic range of the 8K R5 RAW shouldnt be limited by clog right? So It is safe to say that the pocket 6K has more DR then the R5?
  19. From another comparison video, the ibis of the s5 was way better the a7iii.
  20. yes well the S1 and S1H have 1 stop more of ibis over the S5, but I am still leaning towards the S5 because of the weight(flipscreen). For walking shots you still need a gymbal/glidecam anyways so I figure I rather lift 300GR less each time I fly it. And prolly because it is smaller and lighter it gets mounted much faster, and doesnt need that much precision on a ronin s for example(could be wrong but I def noticed the difference rigging a RED vs my old GH4).
  21. oh sorry, I will try to keep an eye out for that 🙂
  22. there is no S1 in that comparison video though 🙂
