You can show music up to 7 seconds I believe freelt, so something with video might have the same rules, not sure.

I have used the edelkrone, which has some microjitter on it, if you are going to use it for macro shots. I have seen the Rhino arc demo, and was impressed with that one. But have no hands on experience.

All in all, I would just go with Cfast. Smaller/quicker/safer setup.

I see a lot of ups on the samsung T5, but all problems I saw on fb groups are also people who are using samsung T5's. (prolly the T5's are not the problem, but the cable probably gets hit during recording, so you might want to invest in some cage that tightens these connections)

I would not record to external disk, I mainly use Cfasts on bm pockets, and never had any issue whatsoever. (pocket 4K and 6K)

The s5 is low weight though, which is the reason I picked it over the s1h.

Well I was canon, sigma or tamron. I would def release non metal versions at least and call it the TRAVEL version, same optics, same performance, a third of their weight. Could be that they are not weatherproof, but honestly I dont care because if there is a storm my ass is indoors anyhow.

Hello, How come that these panasonic L lenses are so light weight? All my canon L glass is heavy as *@#$, same as sigma ART lenses and tamron lenses. Those light weight lenses are a lot funner to carry around 😄 I thought perhaps it was a mirrorless thing, but these Canon RF lenses are heavy beasts as well. Cheers

Well the latest camera's can write to external disks over usb-c, so I guess they should be able to read as well, if they program it (over hdmi will not be possible). At least if they work togheter and create an awesome product 🙂

I got a couple printed ones here at home from camera shows. And there is some great content in there of various blockbuster hollywood films. Allthough the mag is kinda infected with a lot of ads. But the best cine mag I have ever read though. (allthough a lot of stuff may not apply to your shooting style, as they do break out expensive hollywood gear)

If this was the print version, that would have been even more amazing. I must be really getting old as I prefer reading things written on paper. (allthough I find print obsolete and a waste of good resources)

yeah I hope they could get them even smaller now with tech these days. Prores RAW doesnt do it for me, as Resolve doesnt support it and at this point I dont think they will implement it anymore.

Hope this pulls togheter, which resolve a lot of issues of the R5. Making it editable on my machine + more codecs + increasing the dynamic range to 14 stops(lets wait and see). Only pickle left is the overheating, I wish they would fix that. (and also the price, I hope to pick one up around 3K used).

I got spoiled with BRAW the last years, now I got an S5 and I need to check whitebalance while shooting to perfection, while shooting braw when its sorta looking ok, I could always fix it in post. So WB is the main shooting benefit for me. On the editing side BRAW is really smooth on my machine vs H265 422. Then there is also some extra options like changing ISO in post, which I never use that much though. Yeah I dont like monitors as well for run and gun, because charging and swapping batteries is the worst. + the added weight +the bulkyness which doesnt let you throw your camera in your backpack and move on. Disconnect cables, batteries, rig it down, to rig it all back up again. Too much of a timewaster for me. doesnt make sense to shoot these small camera's when you have to rig them up.

Have to agree the S5 firmware update is disappointing. I would love BRAW from the S5 though, but not through a bulky monitor recorder, I would take a hotshoe samsung T5 sized device that records braw though(without a monitor).

There are still great directors and actors still out there though. I guess we can blame the production studios for all the shit movies (woke movement etc). And as a viewer we do have power over the production companies, but everybody keeps running to the next wonder woman or avengers 19 film, so what can we expect really. Yeah I got a drawer full of filters(saved over the years) - ND filters - IR filters - Polarisation filters - UV filters (mostly protection, it saved my canon 70-200mm 2.8) - only black pro mist 1/4 now (had the 1/8 and 1/2 as well but sold them off)

For long documentary edits it might work, but if you got 4 hours to edit a video its a waste of time that uou dont have. Which is the common time amount over here for cheap 1k corporate videos over here. (Other half day is the shoot itself)

Hello, If your 200D is a bit too noisy for your taste, here is a video with instructions how to replace the fan with a more silent one. I might give it a go, allthough I am not that bothered by the noise, as I found you could clean it up easy in post. Cheers

I specifically said "I wont use it for vlogging "... I thought the same as you a couple of years ago. I dont need ibis, I dont need AF, I dont need a flipoutscreen. And for most of my stuff I dont need it. But I learned, it sure comes in handy. I learned workflow is key, every minute you can shave off is a win. And these options(that are becoming standard for most mirrorless camera's) provide exactly that. Creating a nice image isnt that hard, getting multiple nice images in a small time window is a different story.

They have fixed a lot of problems of the pocket with this one. Allthough I wish it had the following - Full frame sensor - IBIS - Screen that can turn sideways as well, so you can vlog with it(I wont use it for vlogging but I do find it nice for light setups where I use myself as the test subject to see/adjust lights on the fly.) - CAF for the exact reason above (selfie vlog), Its hard to judge stuff in post when your focus is a bit off, and its hard to focus on yourself without an external screen.
