Would love a future setup where one could use the Mac Mini, with keyboard and mouse and the iPad Pro as screen. 
Can’t wait for the day when I can switch to using an iPad as my main computer. Right now it feels like the inability to use external hard drives is the main hindrance.

You probably haven't got the talent to match music to images so you'll probably not understand what's at stake. Like freedom of speech there is such a thing of freedom of artistic expression, if I wanted to set some cinematography to a Pink Floyd track in the privacy of my own edit suite at home, and not release it, I am free to do that. So yes, pros do use copyrighted songs. It is when sharing the results with friends and followers where the problem is, because in order to do that in the age of the internet some form of 'publishing' has to happen and anyone can view it. You are not using it commercially, it's just for fun. Other pros have done it all the time, like Philip Bloom before the music bed, it's been very common and you Ben seem to ignore all the other issues and grey areas as well in an attempt to vote against your own artistic freedom out of some dumb attempt to simplify the subject down to either right or wrong, black or white. You are an 8bit binary thinker. You are worse than a GIF. If you were a codec, you'd be AVCHD.

This thread is aggravating enough to revive the dead....  You do realize you're grading a grade, not camera original?  There's no way to know how much original highlight detail was in the shots, because current levels are baked in.  It's like trying to grade a bluray and concluding that 35mm stinks, because you can't push the highlights without clipping.
 

I've been impressed at how much I've been able to lift the blacks and mids with no noise on a number of challenging scenes.
One shoot was brilliant bright fall light streaming through an autumn canopy for an all day mountain bike segment.
The light and contrast changed constantly with no time to adjust even with a couple of grips with bounces.
Bottom line, I don't even think about ETTR with this. It's a totally different image/negative.
Very clean very gradeable - and all we've shot so far is in ProRes HQ UHD.

Global shutter is the future I want. It's always nice to see progress in that area.

Come on Andrew... commenting on EVERYTHING except the Black Magic 4K Pocket? I hate to say it, but you are quickly becoming irrelevant. It's a massive bummer because I've been such a big fan of this site over the years.

Thank you, the sample DNG already contains high cliping, left down in those lights, any manipulation with ISO will no longer help with this overexposure.
The dynamic range is definitely worse than the old pocket and, unfortunately, the colors, I have been doing a lot of adjusting DNG and ProRes from my old pocket for a long time so I know what it can do. that color noise in the shadows is unpleasant.

Better looking footage than any of the BMPCC4K I have seen. 
I recently rebought the pocket as well. You need an external battery and the IR Cut filter, but once outfitted, the camera is really excellent. 

Great footage by the way. They are an amazing camera no doubt. I am sure in the right hands the PK4 can be also.

exactly the opposite ?  I bought BMPCC recently and I prefer it before my GH5 for DR and Color
BMPCC for shooting people document, music video, film (BMPCC will not forgive you, you have to learn the filmmaking craft, nothing slowmo YEP ?

I’ve done commercials with BMD cameras and Software that A LOT of people have seen, a lot more people than the people writing and viewing this thread, did I get a free camera? Can we put this shit behind us?
I have P4K, T5 and 5 LPE6 at the moment. Probably rounded up to say 1800

Sure, but we’re talking about this camera and those highlights don’t look so nice. The original frame was posted to rave about the DR. I don’t see it. 
I am fairly certain that even a c100 in log would handle that better.
