Thankfully this version is less of a video ram hog than the previous beta's. Before if I had a 4K clip with noise reduction + optical flow (speed warp) would result in the video memory warning or crash with my 8gb VRAM card. Now it works. Definitely a performance improvement.

Yeah any weight added to you camera, especially the bottom will help with the jitters. Might do a Z6 Ibis vs Pod comparison for fun.

I enjoyed C the most. Good detail, nice colors.

Waveforms are your friend! Bottom image looks like it is well balanced.

Even at minimum brightness the contrast is too low for me and it seems a little washed out. Rear screen is much more accurate.

One thing I do not like about my Z6, the viewfinder's black level is way off. Things that are visible in the viewfinder in shadows that should not be as visible as they are.

Great specs and impressive viewfinder and video. Poor AF, expensive lenses, and a large body turned me away from it.

Welp, ordered the Ninja V. We'll see how it performs.

Love AVID's setup for editing but do not enjoy their limited codec support. Don't want to have to transcode everything I shoot.

I think there are tons of open source DVD and Blu-ray creation software if you still want to go that route.

Nikon D5000 has the D90 sensor in it. Image quality wise that is the best I think you can do for under $75

Had a Wasabi Sony battery that died on me, and Newer brand one for my Nikon D750. Both died after less than a year of use.

Have had to many issues with non-OEM batteries dying on me suddenly to buy them further. Only buy official brand ones now. Not something I consider worth cheaping out on.

This implies monitor calibration will apply to Devinchi as well. Seems that if you do a separate 3D LUT calibration in resolve it will look a bit better according to him. So you are correct if you want flawless calibration. Another one from my new Z6. Nikon 24-70 2.8G wide open, lighting fill added from camera left.

That is only if you are using a external monitor with resolve. If you are using it on your desktop monitor there is no issues.

???? DisplayCAL is used to get your screen to show accurate color. Nothing to do with Resolve and LUT creation. Another with my Voigtlander 40mm. This time on the Z6 in Neutral

Well my 24-70 2.8G and old Nikon 70-200 2.8G both Autofocus well on my cam. Smoother focus transitions and follow better than the NX1 but not quite on par with the Sony A7III. I'm sure that the native lenses are better. AF motors on these a bit loud however, need to be used with an external mic. It's a dream to shoot my Voigtlanders on it, so clean. Video to come.

Default Sharpness on Nikon is very high and needs to be turned down out of the box for video. One thing that no one has mentioned is the Mid-range sharpening setting on the Z series. Turning it down a little bit softens skin and an create a more creamy look. I tested the camera before the upgrade and it fell short of my D750 for AF, the new firmware brings it on par with that camera. Good enough for me!

Yup that Voigtlander 21mm 1.4 and 40mm 1.2 will be mine.

Grabbing this, so many great lenses for the sony system at this point. Especially the Zeiss lenses. Pretty good price as well.

Welp I gave in and got the Z6, have a bunch of upcoming projects where AF would help immensely and I took the plunge. We'll see how it goes when it arrives tomorrow!

The micro port on the Focus locks in place in a slot so it doesn't move and is relatively protected from the elements. I trust it more than an exposed full hdmi connection.
