  1. Yup should work fine for you. Just get a EOS speedbooster and adapt to that.
  2. Andrew, If the Nikon Z6 is there: How is the rolling shutter in 4K? How are the video features different from the Z7? Is the video AF comparable between the two? Also your own impressions of the camera I loved the Z7 when I tried it, if the Z6 is similar except the smaller MP still images I want to place a preorder. Thanks!
  3. Only thing left is price and AF, if price is similar to Canon/Nikon and has great AF Panasonic just won the spec race hands down. The question is, it enough for Nikon/Canon users to switch away from their systems. For many I think it might be.
  4. Having tried out the 28-75 and the Nikon 24-70 F4, I would say that the only thing better on the Tamron is the F-stop. Unfortunately there is not an aperture lever on the adapter.

Always loved the look, but never purchased because for video lenses I didn't want to get stuck with lenses that only worked for a smaller than full frame sensor size and were essentially unadaptable to other mounts.
  6. Honestly think they have mostly given up on it. Sensor costs are going down, they don't have the money to spend on developing the DX lenses and FX. It does not benefit them enough financially, especially in a mirrorless body.
  7. Written permission and usage from everyone in the acting AND voice cast to use their image/voice.
  8. Really interested if that was shot with LOG or Nikon FLAT.
  9. Very impressive footage from the MAVO LF.
  10. Looked very good on the back of the camera, but I couldn't take it off the card so can't make a call on quality.

Gorgeous images. Still one of my favorite lenses, will never let go of my copy.
  12. The adapter is better than I expected, because of the wide Z-mount the adapter slopes towards the lens, makes it seem very very sturdy. It was clearly designed to be on the camera for extended periods of time. My voigtlander lenses were recognized and stabilized through the mount, which is very nice. I tried the 58mm on it, creamy stabilized goodness . AF wasn't silent but usable with shotgun I think, smooth. Unfortunately we were not allowed to keep the footage or images we shot Also tried the Sigma 105mm 1.4. That is a insanely large lens. Not a fan of it. It did not focus well with the adapter. For still it was barely usable, video was a no-go. Seems native Nikon glass works the best. Wish they had it, but was unable to try out the 105 1.4 Nikon.
  13. Tried out the Z7 today at Allen's Camera in NJ, came away extremely impressed. Very responsive (quick to turn on, no hesitation in the menus) , beautiful EVF, great IBIS (smoother than Sony) and the video tracking for me was better than what I saw in the A7III. 24-70 was very sharp and focused well, but lacked character for me in it's rendering. 35 1.8 was incredible, razor sharp, great rendering. They did not have the 50mm there. What floored me the most was video AF with my Nikon AF-s glass. It was excellent! The focus motors are not quiet, but the focus was smooth and didn't hunt at all. Would not hesitate to use for event work. The adapter seemed rock solid when mounted on the camera. Obviously would need to use for an extended period of time to see other issues, but so far I think they have a winner.
  14. RED just lost a huge advantage with this release. One of the best things they had going was the many flavors of RAW on their cameras. I hope Blackmagic does not make it difficult for Adobe to implement support for it, as that is the one thing that could hold this great feature back.

    8K...

Same. Give me 1080p HDR Laser projector over 8K any day. I had to replace my 1080p plasma when it died and replaced it with a 4k led. So much worse for motion and color. And I never view 4K content on it.

Taken near Brigantine I live nearby, just outside Philadelphia. Yes all three are F2.8's. The D750 is a little soft, but has great color and motion cadence.

Thanks, yes all are frames from the D750 in Standard with very little adjustment. Haven't regretted going back at all from Sony. If I ever need 4K I'll rent, otherwise this is plenty good for personal projects. Going to put my money into lighting at this point. Also, having the focal range covered from 17mm to 200mm is a relief in a way, I know I wont be missing any range I could want to shoot with for a narrative.

Finally collected the full set of Nikon primes zooms. All have fantastic contrast, color and sharpness. They vignette, but I think that just makes the images pop even more. I've been moving away from low contrast looks. 24-70 17-35 70-200 I used the IS on the 35mm 1.8 and 85mm 1.8. Both had very smooth VR performance for me in video and a nice warm look. I do not know how well they perform on adapters.
  19. Honestly the pricing and features make it a very desirable camera.
  20. The crop and high RS is going to eliminate this as an option for many. On the other hand the ND adapter is a fantastic feature.

On the A7 III the Tamron is incredible for video work, especially for AF. I had minor issues with background rendering, but I thought color was fantastic on it.
  22. Loving the footage I'm seeing from this camera.
