This is a very suspicious behavior in the light of his statements.
Furthermore, the tests provided, analyzed by expert photographers, have increased our doubts.
Who is publicly accused of lying defends himself by showing evidence to his defense and humiliating those who accused him of lying, in fact this was his reaction "I'll show you the video on Vimeo" statement never contradicted
Remember that the video on Vimeo does not constitute any proof, if this is his long awaited demonstration on April 1, it will still be a big disappointment for everyone.
Nobody asked to have the availability of the hack, just a simple test that would not compromise his work.
I think he is a prankster or in search of fame, or he wants to get a good sale, but this remains my opinion. nobody can feel offended by this.
I like everyone I hope that the raw video is true but I keep my feet on the ground because all the facts and the lack of evidence deny it.
I can not believe him by divine act of faith, and I discourage everyone from buying an NX1 camera if he believes he is shooting in raw.
Today, for the good of the community, I want to end this discussion to dispel doubts and misunderstandings once and for all.
Break the silence, today show everyone that you have developed a hack to shoot in RAW, even if still under development, share your information and I will send you for free an NXL adapter that is worth 429.00 euros, if you do not, you will prove that I am right.

I agree, it would be harsh but I cannot for the life of me figure out why he would not want to divulge ANY info. Very peculiar behaviour even for a young person. I've had kids and I know they can act strange at times but quite often that strangeness is usually attributed to one of the popular 'disorders'. Again, no negative connotation intended. It just is what it is.

Yeah but you didn't see me 10 minutes later when I logged into eBay and found out I hadn't been outbid on all 17 NX-1s that I was hoping to turn a profit on next week.
 

B&W video can look beautiful for the right subject...especially portraits of interesting faces and documenting everyday life. Without the distraction of colour, often the viewers attention is drawn closer to the subject and can give a timeless feel.
Without the luxury of a monochrome sensor, it’s always best to monitor in B&W - since the composition often benefits from contrast in lighting and tone that is not easily noticed when viewing in colour.
@mercer MLVFS is now working with the most recent nightly builds, making post processing very painless...especially when combined with Resolve for export.
Here is an early ML video that made me upgrade to FF Raw a few years ago...something magical about it.

Just to summarize this thread for any anyone in the future who comes across it before it gets locked.
Arikham claimed to unlock "16bit" Raw video on the NX1. some people believed him while others were extremely skeptical. No proof was provided. After about one week the skeptics demanded proof. Still no proof was provided. The people who believed him defended him. The individual disappeared because he was scared of everyone who demanded he provides proof of his claims. Roll credits with cheesy music...

Can I just clarify that I brought those two images up for comparison as I knew someone would search his posts and come across it and would, in all likelihood, have not couched it in, shall we say, quite the same terms.
There are very plausible reasons why those images are as they are that wouldn't disprove a RAW breakthrough.
Just as there are very plausible reasons why those images as they are would not support it.
However, I wasn't just going to ignore the comparison between the images because it didn't suit my suspected - and hoped for outcome - that this is indeed for real.

I do not have the skills of an investigator, out of curiosity I have a look on Ebay, the only NX1 auctioned on ebay in Europe is in Germany that expires March 31, maybe it's a coincidence or maybe not, until we have concrete evidence we can not know it.

Do not you find it strange a video shot vertically, casually with a 4:3 ratio instead of 16: 9, full colors, I think it's a dng picture, not a frame take from video.

We all hope this is true but nobody has ever seen anything, it's a mystery like Bigfood !! First he shows a blurred picture, then a trail on the ground, while everyone is waiting for the first of April, convinced that he will sprout from behind the bush!
I just want to warn those who think to buy an NX1 camera thinking they have a camera that will shoot Raw video.
If this is the reason to buy the NX1 camera wait to be sure!

Could be a good fit for you then. Since you mentioned B-camera use and short bursts being the primary use. Using the 5x 'crop mode' feature in Magic Lantern would enable you to shoot bursts of around 8-10 secs at the highest 2.5-3k resolution in raw (until the buffer chokes using 5D3) Since the crop mode effectively windows 1:1 on a centre portion of the sensor, you could use wider lenses - not even suitable for full frame coverage, and still cover the capture area. 5D2/3 could be a good choice, as you obviously have ability to quickly switch to conventional stills whenever you need. The  5D3 has the slight edge in that you can also shoot 48 or 50fps, which might be a big plus if you are capturing bursts at a time. I've had really nice results from shooting full sensor 'silent picture' bursts (basically a stills burst mode when in live view) you only get about one seconds worth of full resolution captured stills, but if the frames are crisp from high enough shutter speed, you can re-time the image sequence down to 1-2% with Twixtor or the inbuilt re-time effect in after effects, to create very nice slomo 'moving pictures' - like a snippet from a phantom high speed camera.

Absolutely! I also turn sharpness up to the max so that it helps with focusing. With digic peaking it makes focusing so much easier.

I have just as much right to say anything that is true about a Fuji than you do. Fuji sort of bends the rules a bit on ISO, it is fact. Plus I don't buy APSC cameras. Waste of time to me. I see no real gain to them.  When you state the truth on a camera I am not gong to dispute it. I have all the time in the world to research what I am going to say before I say it. So I back up x amount of stuff up with links if I can.
There has been some Bullshit statements about the X-H1 ehh both ways, right and wrong. Fuji is not the second coming of Christ trust me. I am sure it will probably take pictures and video just fine. But just not at my house. I am sure it will be welcomed with open arms in yours. And that is fine.

I would hope you do write in forums you don't own cameras in. There is interesting news everyday that apply to other brands. Experiences of people you know, shoot with, work with. I own 3 different brands of cameras. There is no One camera. Hell this Sony A7s I just bought is the first Sony camera I have had in 4 years. And on paper not much is not known about the A7s so I am not going to write anything about it here. It is old news here. But I am a big Sony fan Sensors wise. Hell they are in damn near every camera other than Canon FF ones and Fuji.. And they might be in the cheaper ones of Fuji for all I know?
I think unless a person has a bag full of Fuji lenses I would wait 2 more weeks to see what Canon, Nikon, heck even BM might spring on us at CES soon.

Just curious how it all ends... When you @Arikhan made this improvement a week before X-mas, everybody would see it as a present. But a week before the 1st of April... I would like to see some footage, as everybody here in this topic will.

Who would shoot a video vertically?
The image has a 4/3 ratio and is downscaled to a 6480 x 4320 = 1800 x 1200 image.
This is not possible in UHD video frames but only in a 4/3 image.
Moreover, the two images are very different, the second image is clearly a 16bit color sampling while the first presents the characteristic defects of the 4.2.0 and codec h265 that can not be justified by the detail captured by the lens.

I agree we should be polite until more is known.
That doesn't mean to say we don't deserve to know.
Arikahn does need to answer the questions better than he has so far.

For me at this point, it just doesn't stack up. I think it's right not to put pressure on the guy though. No ill feelings towards Arikhan.
However we all have had our hopes raised for a while now... and so at this point it's a bit rude not to give some kind of findings that justifies the hype!
Even if it is just stating the bit depth and bit rate of the 4K raw recordings, so we can see that they get written to SD card and what speed of card we need.
It really is not asking for much.
I for one need to decide whether to get behind it with the support of the blog, or whether to ignore it.
Also from an admin's point of view... He's got himself into quite a bit of a position of trust, which as we have seen before on forums, can be dangerous when our trust gets abused. So only right to ask some polite questions... And with respect for potentially a great talent, probe a bit deeper and figure things out.

3.5k Crop Recording test.  I was able to get solid continuous recording with the settings below.
Raw Record Module/no sound
Resolution: 3520x1320  
Aspect Ratio: 2.35:1
Bit Depth: 12 Bit Lossless

Other notes.  I was able to easiy pull focus while recording in 3.5k mode using canon live view in 5x zoom.  Using the 3k 1:1 mode with a resolution of 3072x1308 & 2.35:1 ratio I could get continuous recording and pull focus after pressing the zoom button once and using a half press on the shutter button to get a clear live view.  With the half shutter the live view zooms in again allowing you to set focus.  It may seem fiddly but with these resolutions on a full frame I think it's one of the best ways to check focus.

Vasile, Kinoseed and Otto k released the video hack immediately, I posted NXL video and photos immediately.
Why so much mystery? Why waste more time posting a screenshot to trim instead of a ready DNG file?
I do not wait for April 1 day to take a fish and have me sniffed around by a brat!
This forum is a place to seriously discuss cameras, I hope @Andrew Reid takes measures to close the boy's account, I would like to prevent this forum from becoming a site of pranksters instead of professionals photographer.
