I agree, everytime I take it out, even for a simple walk around the neighborhood it keeps impressing me.
Oh oh and that second shot there is so mysterious and sinister! LOVE IT!

I just picked one of these up to serve as a b-cam/gimbal cam alongside my Ursa Mini and ran the first tests with it.
First impressions; it's a beast. The ergonomics are spot on and as a former 5D2 user I feel right at home with it. The UI is essentially the same as in the Ursa Mini which is nice.
And coming from the Ursa, and BMCC2,5K before that, the low light capabilities... they're just like, damn. I just want to go all run 'n gun and shoot my next short with all natural light. I ran a test on how far I could push it while still getting a clean image - ended up fitting it with a speedbooster and a Pentax SMC 50/1.2. I was able to ETTR at 50fps in city areas, and shoot comfortably in even extremely dim locations. In fact, I had to stop down/up the shutter speed on several occasions. The image wasn't 100% clean though - I'm assuming it's like in the previous BMD products, in that noise reduction is only applied in prores. I shot RAW so I had to do some cleaning up in Resolve (a process I've accustomed to with previous BMD products mind you - but in ISO 800 in their case), but the image did clean up very nicely and retained all the detail.
It's probably the first time I'm seeing an actual cinema grade camera do low light this well. I felt that I could use a reflector to bounce the available light and the camera would actually pick it up.
Attached two snaps from my short walk with the camera. Not very cinematic - but rather tests on how much data I could get from available nightime light. Quite a bit, even in indirect light, as evidenced by the second picture.

Yes, SSD and SD use the same usable slot, which is annoying if you don't plan on using Cfast for anything. Maybe they'll change that in a firmware update.
I was the one with Phantom power issues, but they have since (mostly) cleared up. I contacted BMD about it and they've said they haven't had any other complaints. After sending them some tests, I've been asked to send the camera back and they'll replace it within 10 days. I'm filming stuff that doesn't require in camera audio for the next week though, so I'll send it back after that. I think my camera just has some issues and it's not wide spread thing.

Today, I managed the impossible!
Used the Pocket4K as a B Camera to the F5. Shot seven, five minute interviews, all run n gun style, all handheld with no additional accessories (using Canon 24-105 and Speedbooster XL) plus some B-Roll footage over the coarse of 8 hrs. Went through one and a half Canon LP-E6n batteries, they didn't get stuck, the battery door never flung open, the shots were steady (despite no IBIS!), they were in focus (Despite no AF or Focus Puller!)....and the Director was impressed with the footage despite shooting ProRes422 to SD cards. Must have been a fluke cos I'm constantly hearing that this type of shooting is impossible. ?
Seriously though, Tilta look to be doing great things with accessories for the P4K and I love the integrated NP-F battery and SSD Slot in the grip. The only issue is that it makes the camera too wide. There really isn't any need for a handle on the left side of the camera so I would rather see a solution that has a battery or two in a battery grip that attaches to the bottom of the camera in a similar fashion to a Canon DSLR grip that would allow hot swapping batteries. Can't be too hard right?

Also people saying “oh this is a must, and this is a must” and then people on here quoting and saying this like “that’s fucking crazy, I thought this would be an amazingly easy camera to use”, like what the hell people! We all have different ways of using the camera. I don’t shoot/use my equipment like everyone else of you. E.g it doesn’t apply to all of us. If they came out with a paintbrush for a painter and he was like “I don’t like the strokes of the squirrel hair” do you think every other artist in the world would have gone bonkers and screamed hell at this new brush?!
It’s become a witch hunt in here. It’s sad because a lot of you are tech enthusiasts like myself and your clouding your minds for no reason. Be happy this technology exists, it’s a wonderful camera.

Yeah, I had the camera before most and I have written about my experience, which has been amazing. But NO ONE ever quotes me in here. And Andrew, yes, he just keeps talking about that battery door, I switch my batteries a lot cause I keep the camera on while testing so burn through them pretty quickly (yes it drains your batteries if you have third party, listen to AaronChicago or what his name is, OFFICIAL CANON is the way to go for maximum running time) so I open and close that battery door A LOT with ZERO problems.
I’ve used the camera ALOT outdoors and yes the screen gives of glare but I can still use it without problem! I also shoot handheld, and haven’t felt a need to “rig” it up for more money, I bought a half cage with handle because I am used to shoot with ANY camera, that style. Getting a holder for T5 was just a plus as I had it hanging out (and let me tell you, with zero problems) before and it was just ugly.
Everyone complaining and raising concerns are people that DOES NOT have the camera.

Ah right.
Sorry.
I'm just going to use one of the small £10 SmallRig adapters from my BMPCC that take the Sony F batteries.
Cheap and cheerful and mounts to anything (screw mount on the bottom and a velcro strap as well).

Yeah, it was just an extreme example here. I had it secured if I was moving around obviously before I got the cage. Point was I didn’t need to pay even more money to be able to use it. And I know you know that, just re-iterating for other members. Point is, the camera is fully functional out of box with no other need than storage and lens. People who say other, sadly have an expensive way of using their skills (or maybe they don’t have any skills and need to pay for it to look somewhat good?)

I feel like I read somewhere people being scared that you can’t shoot lossless 4K DCI and record with T5. Well today was the first time I plugged it in and it definitely takes it. I tried 23.976 recorded for 5min before I was convinced enough. Did 30fps recorded for 5min, convinced. And finally 60fps which did get a frame drop after 40seconds. But that’s 40sec 60fps lossless RAW 4K DCI on a 100dollar drive!
The T5 works great! No problems at all here!
