Isn't the truth now that all modern cameras produce very good images and the differences between them are more a matter of taste and style than of one being markedly better than another. The flaws I see in footage these days seem to come more from operator error in either the capture or the post production stages.

I like the IR pollution - it's more filmic and cinematic

Shirozina got a reaction from thephoenix in atomos calibration
It has 'proper colors' to start with. The calibration that Atomos does in the factory is likley on a  better device than the I1pro which is pretty basic as far as calibration devices go and you could well end up with worse colour afterwards. Just trying to save you money

I haven't had any issues with flare with my M2 and I would have noticed this.

I've got the Ninja V - it works well but has some issues with the zebra accuracy ( see my other post)

What's the point in comparing a non focal reducer adapter with a focal reducer adapter? The Viltrox doesn't have any flocking on the internal surfaces ( just like the early version Metabones non focal reducer adapters) but it's a pretty easy job to add some.

That's true but the thick cable of the  Atomos also puts additional strain on the connectors - you can't win!

No - it should have a MF sensor. FF is not cinematic enough these days.....

The Smallrig isn't so 'weaponised' looking either. I'd fear if you got the Tilta system out on the street you would soon be surrounded by an armed response unit!

Anyone else find the rubber port covers annoying esp when you have a cage? - they just pull off if you pull quite hard but smoothly and maybe add a smear of washing up liquid to ease them out and back in again if you want to put them back.

Yes.  I have been using V60 Cards with the GH5 and with the Pocket Cinema Camera 4k.

Pocket 4K tap-to-focus feature is actually unusable so better to accept manual focus as mandatory in this camera.

Non of the review said they had used it with 4k 10bit 60p on the GH5 though. I've just bought the Atomos cable after noticing drop-outs on an standard HDMI cable.

We surely didn't think we were going to get an Arri Alexa build quality, specs wise for 1300 bucks including Studio Resolve did we LoL.

That's not the bit depth but the Chroma subsampling in Y'CbCr codecs. Even in 10bit  the colour information is very compromised compared to the Luma information.

    Not to me.
Resolve is a very demanding software, as much as is powerful, that means that you must have a clean install : no BS apps working in background - Drivers up to date.
I may have maybe one or two crashs a week, and I use Resolve everyday.
Of course it’s not perfect, but How can it be ?
Blackmagic add a ton of new features at every update, has included Fairlight and Fusion in the internal process, that makes Davinci Resolve the most complete and powerful video Editor software on the market.
And the more promising as well, since the support team is listening every users request.
