So, I've been kicking this around for a while and have now found some hardware that I think is worth pursuing it with in terms of quality and more importantly latency.

Tying it into the 3C app with its new Title Nucleus Nano integration, we have this.

    1366875184_CDATEK-P4K-LV002.thumb.jpg.99cc0edb0a642a0d4cb1b5ea9ee47872.jpg

With this setup you can have all the usual 3C stuff of focus control, full parameter control, setup memories etc with the focus wheel and low latency live view from the camera.

What I'm evaluating is whether it is worthwhile me dedicating more time to in terms of progressing it as whilst its fully operational right now its a bit clunky to setup.

The question I have really is that whilst I hear a lot about people wishing the Pocket4K had remote live view capability, what is the reality in terms of how many of you would actually use it and more importantly how much people are actually prepared to pay to add this functionality on to their cameras ?

I've suggested some time ago in another thread that using the Nucleus Nano with your apps would be a killer setup. Printscreens were done, the copyright claim in on the way.

Kidding, of course, was just a logical path. :)

I think that a tablet could be more useful for live view, a 7" unit could have the parameters in one or two rows and a larger image.

  2. Waiting for more samples of 1080p120, the only sample that I've saw was kind of soft.

Loved the styling and the smaller footprint compared to the E-M1 MK II, but if this and the 1080p120 was not mandatory for use, I guess that the E-M1 MK II is a much compelling package.

I love the idea to emphasize on the viewfinder, material and build quality. But it's a very photographic centered camera. video features aren't even close to the X-T3.

But Fuji is on a roll. The X-T3 was incredible, the X-T30 very good value and the X-Pro3 is just a one of it's kind. Really looking forward to the X-H2 and X-T4

I'm the only one waiting for the X-E4?

i watched bathurst on tv on sunday. ( its like formula 1, but australian and better ?) i was actually a bit disappointed with the amount of moire or aliasing visible, didn't seem to matter what the shot was either. anyone else notice or am i being overly picky ?  I do know its a live event and some materials are prone to it however i reckon i noticed alot more this year. Maybe you guys are starting to rub off on me ?

Bathurst, the craziest circuit ever (with the exception from Avus, I guess). Love it.

Looks like "100p" is a typo or "120p" for Europe (double of 50p).
It's a E-M1 MK II miniaturized. But rumored price of 1199 body only is too high.

  6. https://www.43rumors.com/ft5-e-m5iii-willbe-announced-on-october-17-and-feature-the-same-20-mp-sensor/

    E-M5III rumor summary:
Announcement on October 17 (99% certain)
Same E-M1II sensor with 121 cross-type phase detection pixels. (80% certain)
    New processing engine (90% certain)
Lighter, more plasticky but still weather sealed body (60% certain)
Same BLS-50 battery of the PEN and E-M10 camera series (60% certain)

With these specs, with the newer AF from the E-M1 X / E-M1 MK II fw 3.0 with PDAF, their last color science, and a lower price from the E-M10 / E-M5 "consolidation", could be a very interesting option.

    Thanks for the answer BTM
I tried LumixVideoFormats-2.apk, but hanshake didn't work either
I tried the previous method again, but it stops for this message "ok,GX80-468E59,remote,encrypted" and does not advance, as attached image.

    What can I do?

    Screenshot 2019-09-04 10.43.12.jpg

Armando, if you have an Android phone, try the Gmonitor app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.minaxsoft.gmonitor (it is free)

With it you can activate the Cinelike D profile easily. After that, save the settings in one of the custom C positions to recall it.

(asking for license to help him in Portuguese, probably only @Emanuel will understand it too :) )

I have not received mine yet but judging from their description on ali it says that it is light leak free. Will give you some feedback as soon as mine arrives .

No magnets in this clone version but maybe it still works with some other mechanics.

Will wait for the feedback, thanks. :)

While we are waiting and dreaming I am solving some issuses for now by myself - bought several NDs for each lens plus rapid filter system for them. You can get the latter on Ali for 15$

Looks like a clone of the Alter's RRF: https://www.alterrfs.com/

This one looks like that don't have the magnets that helps to seal to avoid light leaks. It works ok? (very interested on this, I use the Manfrotto's Xume magnetic filters but them are very fragile - the magnets of one of them umglued after 2 weeks use)

  10. It was on another thread, when I've asked if @androidlad had any news on m4/3 sensors, hehehehe

But low light could be a problem. The pixel size for the GH5 sensor (IMX 259) is 3.3; for the GH5s sensor (IMX 299, I guess) is 4.63 (probably considering the quad-bayer arrangement activated).

    https://www.sony-semicon.co.jp/products_en/IS/sensor2/products/index.html

This new sensor is listed with a 2.32 pixel size; even with gains of the backside illuminated structure, probably will have the same low light capabilities of the GH5 (except if it could be used in a quad-bayer mode).

I bought my FeiyuTech g6 plus on eglobal for €170 brand new including free shipping from the UK. It works perfectly with my Lumix g7 and gx80. I use an older mobile phone without a sim to connect the camera with the gimbal and I can control the camera from the gimbal. Not the zoom because I don't use power zoom lenses but record and focus works perfectly. I started using an ipad with the lumix app to control and monitor the camera instead of the gimbal which works even better. I can still use the phone to control the gimbal movements. The total remote solution...

You need the phone to conect the gimbal with the camera every time, or was just needed to the initial setup?

I guess it's time to restart the hyperbolic pretend it's a pro video camera only to rip on it machine again. But honestly, it's getting old.

BTW, I just installed a new washing machine yesterday. It didn't even have 4K via HDMI.. it's like 1998 all over again.

At least I hope the machine drum rotates in a 180 degree shutter speed.
