Yes, I have this lens and the 50mm. Both are excellent. I love how blue the sky looks when I shoot with this lens. With my nex it's a treat to use with focus peaking but I am selling the nex and not sure how it will fare with my eos-m. I found myself comparing it with the Fujian and it is way more clinical compared to it but I guess compared to a nikkor or something, it would look pretty dream like and muted. Overall it's a nice little lens. I bought mine from rainbowimaging and in their listing, it states that the lens is actually a 2.2 or a 2.5. Supposedly the manufacturer misprinted them... Or some shit. 

I received one of these today. It's a cheap (£34) lens that comes with its own soft little faux-leather pouch, adapter ring and macro step up. The lens is made of metal, has a front thread and has well dampened rings that have grooves. It has a minimum focus distance of around 25cm though it is marked as 30cm.  The size is perfect for small cameras like the Panasonic GX7 or Sony a6000.
It is optically superb with similar centre sharpness to my Olympus 17mm f1.8. Certainly sharper than any other cheap lens I've bought. Also minimal flaring and CA. Colour-wise it reduces the saturation of reds/oranges which is actually beneficial on Panasonic cameras because they tend to overdo them. Also it is a low-contrast lens which helps with getting flatter images in video. 
The only downside I've found so far is that it is actually more than 1.5 stops darker than the aforementioned Oly lens. Now whether this is because its aperture is actually smaller than advertised or just because of low-transmission elements I don't know (would need a Panny 25mm f1.4 to compare).

The bokeh of FF can be a bit overkill though tbh. Like even in Game of Thrones which uses Super 35 I find a bit annoying that they have all these amazing sets but then everything gets blurred out when someone speaks and theres a head shot 

Not sure what you mean? When I was looking a few weeks ago, the Macbook Pro did already have a dedicated video card (the Geforce 750 M).
 
The move to Radeon seems like a poor choice to me as the CUDA cores of Nvidia are more widely supported

In a few weeks/months, Blackmagic is releasing its Video Assist which is a 5" £350 monitor/recorder. I assume it'll be quite similar to whats on the Ursa, and so should be usable in bright light. Another option is the 5" SmallHD Sidefinder Viewfinder (field monitor with flip-out viewfinder) for £260.

Only a few FF cameras are actually better in low light than those with smaller sensors though

I think they are just having trouble keeping the website running because they dont show ads. That doesn't mean they're trying to become something else. They're just trying to make money where they can in order to stay alive. In fact I like the fact that you can rent or buy videos there. It lets short film makers make some money.

I think it honestly comes down why you buy a particular camera. I did not invest all the money to get the A7s because of DR. But my audience is also totally different: I make videos for my friends and myself when we are spending time together. They honestly dont care about DR. They also dont care and dont see whether I use my GM1 or the A7s... However, when I do some low light work, they actually do care because they see the difference. 
Yes, I know that with a ND I can overcome the iso 3200 limitation easliy, but I am a run&gun shooter - if you take a look at my work you will notice that everything is spontaneous.. I just point and shoot and just care about aperture and focus of course. Thats it. I dont care about shutter and very often I dont care about ISO as well - thanks to the A7s I dont have to, anymore. All boils down to your needs. I heard from many people that SLOG is not necessary in 99% of the situations - for you it is quite the opposite. But hey, thats ok - personal preference

Again, all I was asking is specifically what the DR was like without SLOG. I wasn't asking whether or not SLOG should be used
