Post it, bud!:) If you found a nice shortfilm with plot, don´t wait and post it please. I didn´t happen to be lucky on my search for it. Well, Andy Lee has not been on the forum for a while now, unfortunately. Good shorts with ultra low budget are very charming. Would love to see that kind of filmic approach with one of the three cameras above. Every camera finds its avid shooters, its masters. So would have it charms to find that charming people having done one or two shorts with one of the charming three cameras above.
@Anaconda_, I would not call your musicvideo a shortfilm in the sense I was trying to suggest   @sanveer Cool! Really looking forward to seeing your footage with it!
Posting threads on EOSHD didn´t make me rich neither:) What terminology would you suggest to give an adequate answer? For now, I´d say, some shortfilms which show joy of creation and being a narrative, showing off work with the filmic form in that context.
Here is one  of my shorts, I´ve posted a while ago, filmic sketch much, much  rather, but still with an attempt to narrative, done with no budget, a Lumix G6 and a china boosted FD 28mm. Did a reshoot of the setup this August with audible!:) dialogue this time, with a small crew, two professional actors rather than non professional, though talented, collegues. This vid I did all by myself, therefore no audio for the voices

We shot a short film on a Panasonic GX85 (apart from a Nikon D5200).
Thw colours weren't matched in post. Not really something I would wanna share.
I will share another film or episode I shot on the GX85, hopefully soon.

The iPhone WILL Do commercial (Bentley?) work because photographers and videographers are fallible and corruptible.
And Apple has in a new offshore in Jersey stashed hundreds of biliions of dollars from US tax authorities, which it is willing to pay judges, photographers and videographers, and various other individuals.
The V30 followed this when it had a face-off with a RED. Though the level of shamelessly is nowhere near the limit iPhone indulges in.

I wanted to delete this (my) post.  I wish the OP would tell us something we don't already know about current smartphones in general.  Or say something like "iPhone X is Better than GH5" so we could try to run him out of town
What I'd say is the iPhone X shows that these phones will NEVER do commercial work.  All improvements are mostly in computational photography, multi image synthesis, etc.  They simply don't have the sensor size or horsepower to keep up with today's expectations.
Think about it, there still isn't RAW video on any consumer camera.  I'm actually surprised.
The only reason to buy an iPhone X is to impress your friends. There, you can flame me now

Absolutely Incorrect. 90-99% of the Main Stream Media is Left (/Libertarian) Controlled and Funded. Therefore the Majority of Right (/Conservatice) Wing Media is relegated to Alternative News Streams and/ or channels with high viewerships but very uninspiring monetary models.
Also a Leftist Reporter or Documentary Filmmaker saying it was an effort was exaggerating the effort only 1000 times.

What you're asking is unreasonable by any yardstick. Why would Panasonic or anyone else in the Camera or any other industry give you too end features at low end ILC or mid-range Mirrorless or camera prices. It's like demanding C300ii features at 800D prices.
The only thing I think may be a possibility is that Panasonic should allow users in the GX85 range buy ($99?) Cineline D and other G85 type of features IF they can be implemented via firmware. Though Vlog would not come within that ambit, obviously. And no 180fps or even 96fps.

And then he tried using his face to unlock the phone ... And it FAILED. Hahahahahahahahaha

Makes sense for those who go to Apple church.
Myself... now, I just don't share the same mentality and philosophy. Like, Windows isn't all that great from an OS perspective. But from the perspective of possibilities it's just not something I'm willing to give up on, there's just more I can do with the platform than I would with a Mac. Smartphones all the same. I like Android and you can set it up the way you see fit. Just, for a lot of people, that's too many options, it confuses them and scares 'em off. Instead they just want one ecosystem that's familiar, intuitive and pre-chewed spoonfed. I get that. But, that's just not me. I like choice. Speaking of which... where's your iPhone dualSIM options? Where's the microSD expandability? What if you want it equiped with a headphone port, etc. Atleast with Android there's many manufacturers and you can mix and match your wishes with devices that are availlable out there. And because of the competition out there prices have to be competitive too! Same for laptops and desktops... there's just much more choice and much fairer pricing going on.
But you know. There's a certain crowd that's just better off with a whole Mac ecosystem. I have no need to be an Apple hater. Just go and use whatever works for you. That's the most important thing, not what another person does, but what you do and you ending up being happy with that.

The guy writing the article has taken the Netflix Standard for Broadcast and mixed it up with the Camera Recording capabilities of the V30.
The LG V30 may be certified for HDR and Dolby Vision (for its Screen and Headphone Output), but that is solely for the Screen (and audio output via the headphone out) and Not for is recording capabilities. I am guessing that's limited to 8-bit 4-2-0. And the Log is not a true log.

By fiddling with the site I managed to see a larger version of the lily pad shot. It was horrible - way below a good phone camera. Things has sharp edges by lower contrast detail was covered in melted wax.

    Pictures look impressive.
Seems like no strong sharpening and nr are used. Tons of detail.

If it's too noisy (I think it looks really organic) you can still apply NR.

Well not sure how this one made it under my radar, but it would seem that this thing is something of a breakthrough. The Light LT16 utilizes 10 lenses to take pictures and soon 4k video, and is the size and shape of a smartphone. The multiple lenses are at different focal lengths, and the camera automatically stitched the images together to yield an image that has more dynamic range and post adjustable depth of field. Lowlight performance is 10x that of smartphones. You can read more about it here. Oh... and it's been available since July 14th, 2017.

What exactly does the capture mean and how can someone unfamiliar with the process do it?
Your answer may expedite the process and maybe inspire a layman to help.
While I have hacked the GH2 and the GX85 after your instructions, I am not sure what you mean by the 'capture' reference.
Maybe if you outline it more easily, it could help with the good work.

It too is dependent on the GH4 capture.
Or alternatively a capture from the DVX200 connected to the app Panasonic do for it.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

The GH4 capture from a forum user hasn't materialised so thats the blocker right now.
When it does, it will be looked at to see if it can be harvested or not.

I wish someone would hack the GX85, and get VLog and CinelikeD on it. Apart from log profiles and a mic input jack, it seems to be perfect for the price.

I guess it all depends. On so many factors.
Do you have the time to multi-task? Everyone works at a different pace. I feel I can, on an average, do things at a much faster pace than the average person. And yet, there are many things I do slowly, because either I like to take my time doing doing them, or I am genuinely slow at those particular taste. So I should, maybe assign those take to someone else, or improve my skills and speed doing them. The first seems easier as ab option.
While I have learnt how to play a fee instruments and can carry a tune, I know Absolutely Nothing about composino music. I am genuinely interested in it, but right now, trying that, may be a bad option. I should only indulge in it when time is a luxury and when I can find myself some easy and quick instructions/ instructor.
I love writing, first and foremost,  and I have realized that I am pretty decent at cinematography too. But when you direct your film, you shouldn't get too tied down with too many other distractions. Also and lot of directors realise that cinematography is something they do only till such time as they find a great cinematographer (ala Nolan and Wally Phister).
Filmmaking is a group effort, at the end of the day. And filmmaking is a LOT more about management skills, that creativity. You have to be able to get work out of people, in completely the way you imagined things. And since the director leads a film, he is actually the de facto head of the management team.
